Easy to use. There are so many available books, it's really convenient to have them on hand. The audio book selection is awesome too, and the playback can be sped up if you like a faster read. I listen in the car on my way to work. If you search a title they don't have, you can show interest by putting it in the notify me section. Then, if it's acquired, they will let you know.

I love audiobooks and I enjoy listening to them through Libby. There are good search features and abilities to request books. However, this app asks for card verification pretty every two "checkouts" or "holds." It's an app on a phone. I'm not changing between devices to use the app and I'm not signing in and out of accounts. The verification process is super annoying and honestly unnecessary. This isn't my banking info. Also who has their library card on them at all times??

once it's running it works well. On app startup the screen is solid white which at night is blindingly bright. The menu/icons at the bottom of the screen are not clear as to their function, and I've used the app for years. I use this at night with earbuds so my wife isn't bothered, and the volume won't go low enough on either of my Android phones.

Doesn't work. 🤷 Clunky to use, and in the end it doesn't work. Why won't it load books. When I get it to work data saver keeps closing it down. The sound is too low. Now I'm getting low data message. What happened to offline streaming that over drive had? This isn't an improved app from Overdrive. I'm going to "Hoopla". Update:Still sucks trying it again and deleting again. 🤦

I've enjoyed using the app, thanks. However, when I use the tag to sort, I get my "read" audiobooks listed in with the look-up. I don't know if you can remove it before it tags it as read, or change it to a different tag.... I just find looking through my un-read list frustrating because I can't tell from that look-up if I've read it again. I listen to several books a week, and I don't necessarily remember the titles I've listened to. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks!

A wonderful service! I am so thankful to have audiobooks to enjoy while doing house work or driving and the sleep timer is so comforting at bedtime, helping me to relax and sleep. I also enjoy many ebooks as well. They are always available to me, right there on my phone, whenever I want to enjoy quiet reading. I always have one of each in progress.

I've only been using Libby for a couple of weeks now & love it! I wear blue tooth hearing aids, really enjoy the compatability & not have to take my aids out to put in earbuds. One drawback I've found is that I can't access Libby from lockscreen on my phone?! Because it is playing through my hearing aids, I can't just yank them out & rewind later like earbuds when someone tries to speak to me. Would love to be able to at least have a pause option on lock screen like my music app.

This is my favorite way to listen to audiobooks. It's so easy to use, AND it keeps track of your place, even between holds! And you can have more than one library cards active, which is really helpful for getting a wider range of books (or skipping the line to get a book faster) I love to support my local library anyway, but this app makes it so easy to do so.

As of about p.m (PST) the app stopped working on both of my devices, a Motorola G7 Power, and a Samsung Galaxy S8. This isn't a review. It's just a notification that there is something wrong with the app. I would attribute it to my device, but it happened to both of them at the same time. I did contact Support, but it did happen on a Friday evening so I haven't yet received a response. Update: as of Sunday morning the app began to work properly once again. Thank you to the developers for the fix

An entire library in the palm of your hand! What's better than that?! Although I will always love the heft of a book & the feel of turning actual pages, there are many benefits to having access to a digital library. The bottom line is that I love reading (or listening to books while I'm driving) & Libby makes it easy to do both. Very rarely, a book I'm seeking is unavailable. In most cases, a request can be sent for that title. Once it becomes available, I am notified.

I've mostly used the app for audiobooks and it works well! The catalog of books is more than I expected. Using my library card, I'm able to access ebooks from libraries across the country. The app runs well, is easy to navigate, and wait times are usually not long unless a certain book is in high demand. Notification are efficient and useful to let you know when books are about to be due or ready to be borrowed etc.

Hands down the best. Not only does it always work, it's honestly the best library App I've ever used and it continues to get better. Only complaint I have is the progress bar while listening to an Audiobook is quite touchy. Accidentally tap it and you could be sent way back to the beginning a book for some reason.

I love the app and being able to listen or read books for free. But want to bring attention that lately the books will not load and keeps saying there is an error. I have tried restarting as well as reinstalling the app. It doesn't download files like it should to read/listen offline. Otherwise this is a great app when it is working properly.

Libby is a great way to take books on the go — it's kept me reading even when my life gets too full to bring physical books with me. The interface isn't perfect, but it's functional and largely reliable, and it has lots of options for text size and font, and good night and day modes for reading in different light levels.

There are a lot of bugs in this app. Turning pages in a book, a next page will start to show and then go blank. This can go on for several pages and parts of the book are unable to be read. One of the reasons that I did not use this app before was the issues it had. Now, with Over Drive gone, there is no choice. Over Drive was MUCH better! STILL SKIPS PAGES. PAGE IS BLANK! This app is the worst! NEW UPDATE AND NO BETTER. SKIPS BOOK PAGES. USELESS!

I love Libby! The font size and audiobook speed are adjustable, there is a sleep timer you can use for the audiobooks. It's easy to learn the system. You can create tags to keep track of your want to read list, bookclub books, or any organizing method you want. What books you can get depend on your local library system. Occasionally the search function is a little slow, but that could just be my phone. I recommend downloading the books so you can read whether you have service or not.

Pros: Love the UI Browsing and organizing with tags is great, Great integration with Android auto. Cons and reason for 2 stars; Shortly after downloading and beginning to use Libby to listen to audiobooks, the battery on my Pixel 6 absolutely tanked. Even when not actively using or opening the app, my battery would just drain like crazy. Full charge to 60% in a couple of hours. My phone was also getting super hot throughout the day. I just uninstalled the app and my phone cooled down right away.

I love the libby app. The reading interface is great. You can adjust font sizes and color themes. Most importantly, it's clear and easy to navigate. My personal favorite is the audio books. It links to my car stereo flawlessly, whether I'm using Android Auto or just Bluetooth, it works perfectly and picks up right where I left off.
