For the most part it's a great app. I can keep track of all my accounts and spending and it serves it's purpose. However I can't connect to my bank accounts because my bank doesn't allow it and since I have to enter everything in manually it all forever says pending which is really annoying. Also I can only rarely transfer amounts from one account to another. It will save occasionally but usually just after hitting safe it will go back to the account overview with nothing changed.

Pleasantly surprised. I got to say that I think Simplifi's interface is infinitely cleaner and easier to use than Mint'd. It's much easier to select categories and the ability to automatically classify like transactions in the same category is very helpful, as is having the tag feature when you want an additional level of detail. The reports feature covers pretty much anything you would want. Yeah, it's not free, but if you want better tracking, it is better than Mint.

Simplifi is the best budget app I've found after many trials (Mint, Expensify, etc.). The two big failings I see ... #1, it lacks an annual budget view: all of Simplifi's calculations and forecasts are done monthly; you have to "mentally" extract out for annual plans. #2, the Android app is SLOW. Jumping from one section to the next requires a ~5 second wait. Ditto for saving & exiting specific transactions ... "livable" but rather fustrating. But it's still the best, by far.

The web app is amazing, Android app not so much. Information updates take forever if you haven't opened the app for a couple of days, certain functionality such as editing a recurring bill does nothing, and you have to frequently Force Stop + Clear Cache for it to stop crashing on launch. If you can deal with just logging on via a web browser, Simplifi is amazing. If having the Android app is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere.

Nice UI but the there are too many features and none of them are really polished. Good for tracking expenses but not really good for budgeting. It's pretty clunky to use especially considering it's supposed to be "simple" to use. I don't really trust this company either, I think they sell your data judging by the CA data opt out option at the bottom of the screen (on web). This app didn't help me control my spending AT ALL... Switching to YNAB for now.

I think this app has real potential. Great UI, great concept. The lack of reliable functionality (connections to outside institutions) and lack of support for account connections that competitors have, through Plaid is disappointing though. This app would be perfect if these connection issues and a few UI bugs were cleaned up. If this were a free app I'd give it a higher rating. It just doesn't feel like this is worth charging for (yet), it feels like it's more in a glorified beta stage.

I really do like this app except for one glaring issue which is transaction matching. I spent a lot of time setting up my recurring bills only to have another transaction of the same amount match to a bill. There is no option to unmatch, or manually match a transaction. Savings goals which are similar to Quicken are fantastic, and I like the way that they show you the breakdown within the account of what you've moved into the savings goal. Fix matching and I will be back.

This app is impossible. I wish I read the reviews BEFORE I purchased a year subscription. I canceled the renewal immediately. Despite having a year-long subscription, I simply CANNOT log into the app. It will not accept any password no matter how many times I change it. I logged in online without issue. After spending more than 30 minutes trying to log into app, I gave up and deleted it

I've liked it a lot so far. No real major complaints and the only account it currently doesn't sync with is Robinhood. Otherwise, I love that they have an attachment feature that I can upload receipts to. It seems like finance apps are either "budgeting" (no receipts) or "expenses" (but no budgeting), and this seems to fit nicely in between for my needs. Reporting is clean and manageable, updates are quick and there do not seem to be any issues connecting with my banks.

I like it but I can't link my bank of America after 3 weeks of using as a subscriber. I keep getting a message saying that it cannot connect at this time with Ccscrape. 102. But the app is good so far. Another issue is the Savings goals are manual and not automatic so I have to update for each transfer. At this time, I don't find it useful and not worth the Subscription compared to Mint which works fast, extra useful features, and connect all my accounts for free. I'll try again in 6 months.

The app is ok and has the potential to be the perfect budget app. But unfortunately everything that would be good about it doesn't outweigh the OUTRAGEOUSLY slow refresh rate. I spend more time watching that spinning circle than actually using the app! There a few additional things that would be nice like the option to sort by flag color etc. But the refresh rate is just the worst! :( Please fix this soon!!!

I want to like this app. It has a nice interface, but has no idea how to track transfers to investment accounts, my mortgage, or track assets like property. It also doesn't have a way to automate certain transactions or recognize returns. It also seems to report some stock values inaccurate. It doesn't make sense that Mint (another quicken product), has more. Although it's pretty, some free alternatives do a better job. It comes across as a version one product, so hopefully it gets better.

Love this app! Just is a little glitchy on some things, like delayed responses and some syncing issues, but the reporting is great and the style of budgeting fits well with my lifestyle. Worth the free 30 day trial. I'm glad I tried it out. This app is still young and I'm excited to see where it goes. Count me in! And if quicken needs any more opinions, feel free to reach out!

It has potential but still has many bugs. I can't connect to half if my accounts. Does not seem to know when it displays duplicate transactions. The Web app has many issues as well. You cannot view more than 3 transactions at a time. coming from quicken it definitely has the backing to become good. Just not quite there yet.

So close... But some deal breakers. The layout and UI is thoughtful and well designed. It's too bad when you split a charge you can't hide part of it (such as the part you get reimbursed for). Transactions load really slow. Can't add subscriptions, just doesn't work. Spending categories don't load just those specific charges, makes categorization useless. Basic functionality needs improvement. It's like UX handed it to development and they forgot to code in features. Very odd.
Jeff Montague
I'm a paying customer, and I think this product has promise, but currently the experience is slow, buggy, and almost unusable for reviewing transactions in one place. When scrolling down the list of all transactions and attempting to categorize and label, it is excruciatingly choppy, and after saving one transaction, reloads at the top, forcing you to scroll down again and repeat over and over, something that should take a second takes 30.

I actually lucked into this. I have an ancient version of Quicken (2007?) on a desktop I'm trying to phase out. Found this. I was looking to see if Quicken could work on a Chromebook or if I could link to an app. This cloud/web-based option seemed best. I trust the name. I figured on not using my old Quicken data, so I don't mind that it doesn't link. Super easy setup. App is easier to navigate than what I saw on a browser. Love that you can turn on TouchID. So far, so great!

This app has one of the best looking UIs, and if it actually worked, would be the best one. That's the sticking point though, it doesn't work. Tons of glitches and bugs that simply aren't addressed. And not crazy stuff that you'll rarely use, but common basic functions of the app like filters that you would want to use every time you use it. It worked fine for me for the first couple months but has been completely broken for several months after. Don't waste your money, find something else.
