This App was great until about a week ago, I have done all updates on my phone etc. (Samsung Galaxy S21 5G), un-installed and installed the app again, it simply won't work. It let's you sign in, opens the menu, only about 80% of the items open on the screen and then crashes. It's literally not usable. I'm now getting texts about not making payment's... Fix this ASAP!!! UPDATE: I've just emailed PayPal App support, had a response to say the email is no longer in use and to use the app... joke.

10/12/23 Update: I'm not sure if the problem was on my end or on Paypals end but I was able to make a successful payment. I don't know what has changed with Paypal but I can no longer make extra payments on my Cashback Mastercard. I've not linked my bank to another Paypal account. My actual bank account is still linked but I can no longer see it when I try to make a payment when in the Casback Mastercard interface, it just keeps telling me link a bank account.

App is a bit janky of late. Flickering icons in activity view and app crashed when I used date-to-date filtering (a period of about 18 months). The only reason I opened the app was I got a notification on the order of "Hey you sent money to an individual last month, do you need to do that again?" which was not accurate.

Becarful you can lose your savings. Your account may be "permanently limited" for no reason even if you're like me, who hasn't done anything and only used it for very specific purchases and very rarely used paypal or done anything. Bots will be used to talk to you, be warned, it is automated, and you will never receive help, so don't trust 3rd party apps. Just stay with your bank that you can trust or 3rd party that is recommended from your bank.

The absolute WORST way to send money. I made the mistake of using PayPal to receive a payment from a friend, and now I have to wait 21 days to access my money. The help guides are rather useless, and so is the support system. There isn't even a way to speak with an actual person when calling support, just a horrible automated messaging system that has very limited capabilities. I will NEVER use PayPal again.

Not easy to find statements when you need them. Name & balance don't show on same screen so difficult to send evidence of balance & account holder when it is required. And with payment not leaving account immediately makes it easy to accidentally go over budget & payments to fail when the money is requested at a later date.

Great app & very helpful in many ways plus if u need help or want to raise money for a cause or someone in need PayPal has a system for that & it's super easy to get started!! I use this app as my bank & have for many many years. The security you have with PayPal is impeccable & their team is always super helpful too. Terrible customer service, been using PayPal for years and when i first had a problem with an item i bought, PayPal showed its true colors... I opened a case and was told to wait for the response from the seller, the seller though never cared to respond which resulted in PayPal just closing my case with no ability to reopen it. They claim i had to escalate it to a dispute and they sent me a notification, inbox is empty though and never had any notifications. They refuse to help.

Works a lot better than using the website and having to attempt to verify with multiple unreceived text message codes! I've honestly found it a very useful app compared to the website. They are much better at cancelling subscription payments than my bank app. I haven't used any of the international , business , collection or credit options so I can't comment on those. I've used the pay in three service on one occasion which was very useful for an unplanned larger purchase.

Uodate: App now crashes after starting for no obvious reason. Tried clearing data and uninstalling too. ------- The resolution center in the app is still a joke. Whenever I want to complain about a specific transaction, I have to go through web-like pages that are irresponsive, you can't go backwards, you can't attach documents, it's just useless.

No point in having an account anymore since they stopped doing the automatic top up. It's very inconvenient to have to manually add money for future payments that will take days to get added onto the balance when I can't determine how much I'll be spending until I get to that point. I didn't even know they got rid of that feature until I needed to make a purchase IRL and my card declined. They sent an announcement thru email that got buried in my inbox. Imagine if I needed that in an emergency.

Horrible service. Started it out good, But then had some issues loading money on my PayPal account with my debit card. Talk to customer service for 2 months straight. And only answer they can give me is that it's a system issue. And that there's nothing they can do. So for two months I was not able to add money to my PayPal account and they don't even know when issues going to be resolved. To be honest I didn't use this app that much besides a gambling app that I use but overall it's sucks

I find it buggy. For example I am trying to issue a refund, and the app asks me to identify myself as if I was trying to do this operation from another device. At the end I had to find another way to send a refund because the identification didn't work. :( More problems are happening, especially with selecting the language. I always receive emails in he language I didn't choose as default. I also had to pay a 5€ penalty because the funds in paypal were not enough. it should be taken from bank!

I have been using PayPal for some years now, as an additional protection between online stores and my credit card. In the past every time I wanted to buy something I had to login to my account to approve the transaction. However the last year(s) they decided to implement a "feature" to remember shops you had transactions and allow the payments automatically. I see this as a step backwards in security and at least it should be optional for the user, not imposed on every transaction.

The Paypal app and desktop version makes it impossible to pay off individual items before the PayPal credit 0% interest period ends. Even more annoying is it shows you how much is left to pay and when it expires but the only option is to pay off an amount from all of your paypal credit transactions rolled into one. If I make a payment there's no mention of it paying off the item which is about to roll into an interest. We shall see. The constant log in verification is also very annoying. 😤

A few things that are really bad about the paypal app -- there's no way to paste an email address that you want to send money to. It means you have to type it out and risk getting it wrong and it's just so dumb. Give us the paste option fgs. Secondly you cannot cancel payments when you do get the email address wrong. It just won't work. Sort it out PayPal, you've been around long enough that basic functionality should be available

I didnt want a credit card because it might encourage me to spend much of what i didn't have. I was advised to open a PayPal account because it was a good account, I was also told they also look after you if you have a problems, well sure as hell they do! Several times I had problems and they were swift & helpful all the way to a speed positive conclusion. Also the app is so easy to use & the options are great! Well done PayPal.

Truly one of the most frustrating apps I've ever had the displeasure to use. I recently downloaded this app after a check was mailed with the wrong amount and figured this would be an easy fix. From issues with my rural address that required I go to the local post office to get an address to a 21 day hold on my money. I've entered in all the information Paypal requires, but that doesn't matter to them. Save yourself and skip the hassle. They don't even have real people for customer service! 0/5
