Every single time I install this app, I get a bunch of spam in my emails. I deleted this app for a long time, then recently got a friend request & reinstalled. Then all of a sudden, a bunch of spam! I just got paid for something & was charged a fee. Update: I called customer service and they resolved the issue with the payment quickly & explained why and how to avoid it in the future so I'm very pleased with their phone customer service. I tried contacting thru email & waited a long time.

The app was ok. My tap to pay option for my clients has disappeared. It caused some issues for clients who enjoyed that. I tried to uninstall and reinstall, and it never came back. It still "offers" the option in little adds, but it can't be accessed anywhere.

It has never been accurate at all the user interface is difficult and I always have a balance of $10 if that's the case I am rich bc it will not let me use it at all and if I could spend 10 all the time and it never decrease my balance I would never have to work. It is so slow on refreshing makes me sick & only uses cashapp more. Please fix or make me rich. I prefer both 🙏 please

One star because they're not able to keep their own schedule. I'm starting a business and problems like "Venmo kept playing with my money, wasted 3 days of my time, and still charged me so I can't fix your car today" is unacceptable! If this app has one more hiccup I'm never using it again! Cash app is too far ahead of this nonsense to waste my time! I want a refund for my instant check out!

I like using the app it's very handy but the past couple of months something has changed. when trying to scroll through transaction history it keeps sending me back to the top of the transaction history. I could be 2 or 3 weeks down the list and it will send me back to the top forcing me to scroll through again. it's not a simple glitch, it's an every time thing. it's really inconvenient when I'm looking for a previous transaction. what should take a moment to find now take 15 minutes or longer.

Works great for me. The only thing I don't like is, I am not able to clear the notification bell thing on the top right corner. It's annoying. Update; still have received no help to clear these notifications. The company was useless when I contacted them this morning. 9/29/23 Update; I have contacted customer service.

Will not allow dispute. As soon as you click help and didn't receive it asks to log in. Obviously I'm already logged in. I put in user and password and it asks to log in. Gets in a loop with no error message. I use same password on PC but the browser version doesn't seem to have a way to dispute. So obviously Venmo can keep you from doing whatever they want because they aren't testing and dev for both web and app, which is broken.

Every time I want to deposit a check they freeze the transaction because they want a photo of the check with the word "VOID" written on it. There's no place to available to add said photo and it ends up costing me time and money. The customer service reps are awful, they blame shift, and are very rude. I can't think of anything I'd like to do less than dealing with Venmo.

I appreciate many things I can use venmo for a lot! It's the perfect second account! It has grown a but to unreliable lately with different changes and issues so I absolutely would not recommend using it as a bank account or first account. I'll continue to use them as long as it doesn't go any further backwards for the things I use it for

They have frozen my account twice in the last month. I did nothing wrong imo and they've never fully explained why the freeze took place at all! It's been super inconvenient and you have no choice but to communicate via email with the department that handles frozen accounts. I have to move my money out a bit at a time and I can't recommend them ex eot for the ease of requesting/paying friends/family. Anything else forget it.

It took several attempts just to add money to my venmo acct. Now I can't make a purchase with my money, error message "Payment Denied try again later" 2 days later & still can't make a purchase. The robot assistance couldn't help. They have some serious issues with their software, but they don't seem to want to fix it. I couldn't even deposit a check, error after error. This is so frustrating & embarrassing I don't see why they can't make it a usable app or get rid of it

Stop making banking like social media. I don't want to know what anyone else is purchasing or for them to see mine. I know you can turn that off, but it's stupid to set up an app like that. I didn't even have an account, yet someone was able to send me money, but I'm not able to access it without linking to a back account. I don't trust non-banking apps (like Chase) with my bank info!

The calculator options are back! Although, it still auto capitalizes each word as you type the memo out which not everybody wants that by default. Lastly, the delay when hitting complete on a charge request is bothersome, it seems unresponsive and there's no indication that it's attempting to do anything until you tap complete again and get a banner telling you to slow down

90% of the time, a great app. However twice I have had a transaction processed with the wrong card, and never given an option to change the card or notification of the card it would be charging. Plus fix this issue, even a simple "are you sure?" Verification would solve this.

"Support" offered no help in the past to resolve the issue of payments declined with instructions to return later. I'm guessing a glitch has since been rectified as I've had no other issues the past few days. Furthermore, they were kind enough to pay a $10 deficit for a restaurant bill with instructions to ante up or else!!! I paid the deficit upon receiving notice of it, but the account remains frozen for another 6 days until the restaurant blah blah blah.....

Only use this app for Amex Send integration, and it always reminds me how much easier it is to pay cash. If someone pays you directly instead of from a split request, there is no way to send that money back to the Amex Send account as it does not count as a card for instant transfer, nor a bank account for normal transfer. Not to mention, the app always has the toggle for purchase protection even when sending money between friends.

Update:they tried to "help" when all their advice was to uninstall/reinstall, restart phone and try restarting on the computer.No help! It's glitchy and keeps crashing on me when I try to pay a business. I don't know what they did but all summer Long I've had trouble scanning, finding users/businesses and when I do find them to pay, it crashes on me and says this app has a bug and try updating the app after the developer fixes the problem. Please fix otherwise I will delete and not use anymore.

Every single time I tried to use this it didn't work. I chatted with customer support and they verified that my bank cards and credit cards were fine. My identity was properly verified. Then they said all my account activity, incoming and outgoing, was being reviewed. There's nothing they could do about it. Very frustrating. I will uninstall.
