Description of Padlet

What is Padlet?
Padlet is like paper for your screen. Start with an empty page and then put whatever you like on it. Upload a video, record an interview, snap a selfie, write your own text posts or upload some documents, and watch your padlet come to life. Once others add to it, the page will update in real time.

Used by teachers, students, professionals, and individuals of all ages, all around the world, the Padlet app is the easiest way to create and collaborate wherever you are. Whenever I use Padlet in my computer I can't scroll down at all compare to how I used to, how in the world should I even continue using this if I can't even see my former lists there. This is a huge error that should've been fixed. What is going on with you guys?

I have a paid monthly subscription of the app, deducting 125php. But somehow, I wasn't able to pay the dues on a certain month, then my subscription was cancelled so I had to register another payment method for the dues. Then, the payment automatically rises to $9.99 which is 486.50php. That is thrice the price of my original subscription and was automatically deducted to my bank account. I was going to give a higher rating since I love using Padlet but their pricing was questionable.

Downloaded because the school set it up. Awful. It's not compatible with child locked devices and constantly pushes them to the Internet to download files. Also every time you click a document it downloads the file, over and over. Yes it provides an option to not redownload that I'm sure our 9 year old will never take.

The mobile Padlet App is so amazingly simple, free, and effective to use. I bought the $10 subscription because I am a teacher and need 5+ folders so my young students can find information a little easier. It has saved TREMENDOUS TIME AND EFFORT to simply post recorded notes, draw math problems, type up their vocabulary homework, make a discussion board, live edit each other's posts, etc. In my class we have incorporated Padlet for easy access to notes over distance learning! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Padlet itself is great - app has issues. 1. Notifications pop up in random languages 2. Notifications do not take you to the actual post or comment. If a change is made on a padlet, you have to look all over the Padlet and try to find the post or comment. This is a fairly big problem. How to communicate with students if I don't know where they posted? 3. Sharing to padlet from the Android share menu automatically posts on a board called "Shared from Padlet" instead of allowing us to choose

Padlet app lets you check and interact with your online content from any device. Easy to use, even when things don't work, the support is amazing. I can create content for my classes from my phone or my computer indifferently. It doesn't hog CPU and it's a golden buzzer from me.

This was a great app on mobile, but since the update I can't save changes. I have to change my phone to landscape to try save somethings but the background won't save. It is too high on the screen and the button is behind my camera or else it just doesn't appear at all!

It's not great but okay - I did not like the set up of information - until you try to cancel your paid subscription and delete the account. It's not possible to get it done, the app stalls. Customer service sends automated responses promising to try to get back to you in up to three days. Thank you and good bye.

Padlet was super helpful for the weekly plans for our classes during lockdown. We embedded videos explaining new concepts and our Grade 4s could carry on with their work without their parents. I am not the greatest planner, so for me personally I am very happy to have discovered a do-able tool to organise my week and even year. I'll definitely continue using Padlet. Thanks!

Nice app, can be used in classroom setting too. I am having trouble though with how the posts turn out in the chat layout. The oldest post will be at the bottom while the most recent ones will usually be on top, so I have to scroll all the way to the top for the posts. I couldn't find any settings related to fixing this.

It's kinda easy to use but I have a problem. Whenever I'm done with my padlet and remake it, I lost all my content after I remake it. The last time I remake my first one, didn't lost its content. It gets really frustrating especially when I'm working something important.

Rather nasty application, clunky and dated, with poor help facilities. Shows all the signs of originating on Apple and being poorly converted to run on Android. Doesn't follow standard Android "back" command, no context based commands and unintuitive. It could be good but it needs a lot of work from the writers, start by actual research of what good Android apps look like please.

This app has zero privacy. Even when you have not given this app permission to anything in your phone, yet when you try to upload an image and click on Image library or camera, it can access just about all your Gallery! No option for two factor authentication under Settings. I think Padlet purposely did this to easily access personal info about the user!

Edit: latest update just fixed the white screen issue, but still can't record video/audio or link to other padlets. Edit 2: Following update on same day as my comment above, all issues with video/audio on Android now fixed! Brilliant service and now should price to be a very useful app for our students. Many thanks to the Devs on their work! 😃

Great tool, I started using it as an interactive bulletin board for my high school students to share poems, videos, songs, recipes, ideas for activities, jokes etc. etc. Unfortunately only three padlets if you choose the free option, and premium is not cheap. Also, often I get traffic jam notifications throughout the day, apparently I am not the only teacher who likes the app/site these days.

I hate this so much. It's so laggy and glitchy. This tests out my patience every week. Both the app and website sucks. I can't wait for face to face classes to be implemented, because this app just ruins everything for me. I always spend longer time than usual just for uploading two or three pictures. I know the problem isn't on my phone, because all of my classmates complains about it too. At least remove the bugs or something around! EDIT: I don't have problems with this anymore. Its great.

I collect useful links into a padlet to easily organize resources for my teaching. Within one board, I can further sort them by topic or course I'm teaching. I love to collect student original poems into another one. Student brainstorming ideas, their research topic choices, and infographics they made about careers all collected into padlets give us all a sense of pride because with padlet. It it is easy to see all the accomplishments from the unit of study together in one place. Easy!

It's not perfect but it is very helpful for my team where we need something simple. Sometimes it doesn't post so I have to go to the browser version. Other times I wish I could collaborate in editing our classroom's Padlet so it's not just one person left to arrange and organize the columns that we use.
