It's really good...until it randomly decides to go into view only mode for a document I OWN! The only way to fix it is by reinstalling. Sure, it's not hard to do, but it's frustrating. Can you guys please fix your app? Thanks :)

Does what it needs to, but for the love of whatever you believe in stop re-adding files that I've removed! If I remove/delete a file, it's right back in the list like nothing happened the next time I run this; stop it - it's a potential security issue! Also, this is another of Google's apps that gets 'updated' every week yet there's never any fixes; it's still got the same problems it had several years ago!

Another update but still: 1. No additional functionality. Really need the File, Data, Charts, and Script tools that are only available on the PC version. Surely with current technology it should be able to have all this software on the APP version. It just keeps the entire Docs suite dependant on a Microsoft or Apple Software platform. 2.No option to sort Tabs by Alphabet or move tabs easier rather than pressing "move left" or "move right" 20 times in a large file.

While it is good for basic edits on the go, if you want to use it for actually large scale work it's no good. There are many features missing in the app version that you can only access via the browser version which is incredibly frustrating if you need to do something specific but aren't near a computer.

Extremely inferior to Microsoft Excel. It crashes frequently and removes my edit access to my OWN SHEETS. These are long lasting issues that have not been fixed. App is literally unusable in that regard. It's also missing features compared to the computer web version, and "dark" mode just inverts all the colors, making sheets look horrible and ruining color coding probably done on purpose.

Lacks basic office features. Not intuitive to export files (like "save as" on a computer) and does not have a feature implemented to send as a file by email, only as a link to a file in my google drive. One time I attempted exporting my timesheet to send to my employer but it could not be opened because Sheets exported it without the .xlxs extension. Microsoft Excel for mobile, even though it's from the company that begs you to use Edge on their computers, has none of these issues.

Used to be fairly reliable. Over the last couple months my documents keep being opened in "view only" mode randomly. I have to delete the app cache and it works again for minutes, hours, sometimes days before I have to do it again. Makes it frustrating at best and worthless when I need it quickly.

This app is trash. I open a form for work on my phone and I can lay it down and it will act haywire and close. It took a damn screenshot without me pressing buttons. The ONLY app out of many that I have that does this. There's nothing wrong with the phone.

In the last couple of weeks I've had problems with the permissions on multiple Google Sheets. Sheets that I've created (and shared) change to "View only". If I change the sharing permissions (from those set to anything else) this fixes the issue but it manifests itself at a later date. This is an invaluable app upon which I've become highly dependent.

Excellent when it works. For some reason, sometimes it won't let me edit my spreadsheet. Done all the troubleshooting and nothing worked. Only temporary work around I've found is to delete and reinstall the app. Then it works for a random amount of time.

For some reason, all the data you put in a cell will only save if you press the checkmark on the top-right of the textbox, and will automatically revert to its previous state if you exit text editing in any other way. Also, the app is not great at handling large spreadsheets, frequently crashing and forcing you to wait before it will open again.

A year later, and the dumb app still forces you into a VIEW ONLY state despite being the ONLY owner and viewer of files. And, the only way around it is to uninstall and reinstall the app. And this isn't a new bug, this has been around for a few years now and Google refuses to fix it. This could be a damn good app if you actually listen to the folks that use the app. But, guess that's too much like right. Go figure....

I've been using Google Sheets for a couple of years. Recently, the 'importhtml' function has deteriorated in terms of loading speed. Functions that used to work fine a year ago now take much longer to load, sometimes up to 15-30 minutes (previously generally only take about 1-2 min to load). Additionally, the formula doesn't respond immediately; for example, when you input an incorrect formula, the cell continues to display 'loading' instead of showing an error.

Would be good if I could use a Bluetooth keyboard for data entry, but if I do data entry is unreliable with the first character typed not usually being registered. This seems to be associated with number formats of cells as a new unformatted workbook seems to function normally. I have reported this to Google but they only seem interested in making cosmetic improvements and didn't reply.

It's honestly a pain to edit or just update a sheet with the mobile app, It's tedious, frustrating and sometimes just impossible. I really like Google Sheets on desktop, and I'm really hoping for a decent mobile version soon.

There should be an option to open a file read-only. It's easy to make accidental changes on mobile devices. Also, it would be nice if one could choose other separator than comma for CSV documents.

Oh dear, what a disaster - this spreadsheet is totally useless. I've been unable to sort multiple columns at once so that data on a row stays together. It also appears that you cannot block data together and then delete the block. The above ade two basic functions of a spreadsheet. What a waste of time.

The program is great, thank you, dear developers. The only problem, I often experience with it - it gets me into "view only" mode without any visible reason. I'm fixing that with re-installation of this app. This problem occurs for over a year now. The intervals between those problems tend to get shorter. It might last only couple days to couple weeks now, while used to be months before.
