I used to love Google calendar, but they have taken some of the features away. The features I like, how you can mark things as done. The different views. Easy to use. Birthday events cake background. The reason two stars is because of some of the features they have taken away. You used to be able to have a couple of different inputs of events/reminders etc, which help me to organize my family calendar. Now it is just events and tasks, so my calendar is all green.

I wish the app had as many color options to label things as you see in a web browser. All the colors seem to show up if the event is created in a web browser, but they aren't listed if you do it through the app. Edit - through a browser, there are 24 colors shown. On the app, there are 11. A color like Radicchio is on the web, not in the app.

One of the best, if not the best. My only complaint is that when using the app & opening up monthly view on top of "scheduling" you lose it once you scroll. Why can't we have more customizing to combine views. Have month on top & schedule no matter how you maneuver thru app? Other apps can do it so it's possible. And better colors that sync & stay.

I have an isue with Google calendar: when I try to delete some b-days and events that I've wrote wrong, more specific events that repeat yearly, I just can't do it! The notification stays up for the referent day and doesn't give me an option to edit or delete it. Considering that I have 2 accounts, none of them reacts. Tried everything... Any help is more than welcome! Thanks and keep up the great work! Best regards,

Widget needs a "jump to today" button. If you look back or forwards in time you have to tap through each month to the date and back again. A way to fast jump through dates would be good, so if we need to look at (for example) June 2018 we can type it in, without having to press the back button 60 times.

***UPDATE: I can't select and drag an appointment to the new day and/time. I can only modify it by opening the appointment and manually setting the new time, which doesn't allow me to see the rest of appointments to best then in mind. ****** It used to allow to move appointments around, and that's not working anymore. It's a pain! Sync with other apps takes way longer than before the last update. It got worse!

Good app but as someone who uses it to track both my personal and work events in the calendar month view it is frustrating that I cannot pick a colour for my exchange account. When I uploaded the account it picked a colour which doesn't stand out and makes it difficult to quickly see what is coming up, especially in the calendar month view. Hopeful this is something easy for the developers to introduce very soon.

I love Google Calendar. I'd love to elaborate on all the features I love, but only have room to make suggestions I'd love integrated. I appreciate how if you make an event repeat monthly, that you have the option to pick the date or the day (like last Friday of the month). I wish it extended beyond that, though. If something repeats every 2 months, yearly, etc. I still want to pick "1st of March" or something. Also wish I could set reminders more than 4 weeks in advance. Really still love it.

WHAT HAPPENED? I've used ONLY Google calendar for years. Always loved it. Best out there, until now. I manage several email accounts through Google and now they are all listed on my Google calendar. I can't remove them. I've even gone into each one individually and deleted the calendar but they just come back. Tried all of the "help" which has done me no good. Most of the options aren't even valid! What it says to do isn't even available. I've tried both the app and the browser. NOTHING WORKS!!!

Digital calendars are the way of future. Gone are the days when I would carry around a planner and write everything down. One feature that I appreciate is the ability to add reminders for upcoming events. Would have given 5 star's but I am still navigating the app. I would prefer that when I open it that it would default to monthly view. Will edit review once I am able to do so

Excellent for the most part. But as other reviews have mentioned, common workflows like viewing an event or adding one, tend to leave you on the view-one-day page. Which is NOT where I want to end up: I want to get back to the view-a-month page easily and quickly. Even just adding a button at the top of the page that switches views with one tap, would be a huge improvement.

Visually Horrific. I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to put massive graphics for each month that take up the entire screen on the schedule view, but they need to be let go. The graphic for the name of the month takes up 25% of the screen. Schedule view should be the view you go to for a simple, clean overview of what you have coming up next and I hate it. There should be a way to remove the "art" and switch to "clean and simple" mode or something.

I used to love Google Calendar. Used the calendar schedule on my homescreen and it helped me stay organized and on top of things at a glance. My favorite feature? Reminders. Now those are tasks and I hate it. Instead of being one line on my calendar widget, it's a separate line for each task (I can have 20+ a day!) which TOTALLY clutters up my widget AND calendar when I open it. And reminders I don't get to don't automatically roll over to the next day. This is a MESS! Hate it.

The widgets for the home screen used to be useful at small sizes. Now the dates and the giant add button take up so much real estate on the screen I can't hardly see upcoming tasks and events. The widgets are useless to get a quick glance at the day now. The important things are being able to see what's coming up, not the giant add button and the numeric date.

I really wish there would be an update to this app. I don't really find it User friendly when it comes to seeing your stuff at a glance When you open the calendar. If the whole month would be the default or a way to make it the default that would be helpful too. Love that it integrates with others. That's awesome and the best feature

This app is very disappointing in all areas that make an app "pop". For me it just doesn't reach the same level of design and innovation as other Google apps and when compared to other calendar apps available today, it unfortunately ranks extremely low. It's disorganized and the design isn't very appealing to the eye. Throw it out Google and start from scratch. Please!!!!

I started last year based on my friends recommendation. I loved it. It was easy and simple to use and what worked for me is the color coding. Events has a great option to use and different colors if you want to base it on said event. However, I use task and reminders more than events based on my day to day life (each having their own color). Now there is a merger for task and reminders and it is all considered Task and therefore one color which is making it difficult to see which is more urgent

The calendar widget in dark mode uses a color that tries to match my wallpaper, and always looks like a sickly off-black color that's horrible to look at. There's no color option that is dark enough, they all look greyish and washed out, like a filter is being applied to a black background. Give us the original color back, and make it more customizable! Why don't you trust users to choose colors they like?
