Description of Samsung Email

This update is available for Samsung Mobile with Android OS.

Samsung Email enables users to manage multiple personal and business email accounts seamlessly. Samsung Email also offers EAS integration for business, encryption using S/MIME to safeguard data and ease-of-use features such as insightful notifications, SPAM management. Furthermore, organizations can administer various policies as needed.

Update: As I went through the reviews there was one from Lisa that provides a quick fix!!! It takes a minute to find but works! If you go to settings, tap email you want to edit, scroll down and toggle on "show images" this fixes it! HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ALL! Email is not working correctly. I am unable to see my emails as of a few days ago, the show images button is missing so it has been useless to me. Please fix this bug! This app used to work fine for years, first time having these issues.

As of the last update, I can no longer see images in my emails. There used to be a button to show images, and that has gone away. What this means is that any of the mail lists I subscribe to (such as cooking and book/author mail lists) that use images (of a recipe or book cover) are useless, since I can see the relevant images. Very frustrating. How can I fix this? I've switched to the Microsoft Outlook app for now because of the frustration factor.

This was a good email app. But I am having the same issues as a handful of other people. Certain emails won't load. I have to either delete out of frustration, or use my computer. I rarely use my computer anymore. I have not tried what one user said they did, by hitting reply they were able to see what the original email was. Seems like something needs to be fixed with the app. Samsung, are you even listening?

In the past this was a great app for viewing email through multiple servers in one place. I had the option to choose to open images or not before they were downloaded. This offered the ability to monitor my data usage and screen potential problems prior to downloading. Since the recent update i can no longer access 99%+ of my emails. I'll be looking for another option. I prefer to choose what i download & when.

This is the first time I've had a major issue with this app, but it is major, rendering the app pretty much useless. My emails do not load probably 8-9 times out of 10. I can usually work around it by switching views from "All accounts" to each individual account until the same problem occurs which forces me to switch back to "All accounts" hoping it works yet again. I manage my emails in a pretty quick fashion, but having to switch back and forth just to view one email before I know if it's even important is a HUGE waste of time and extremely inefficient. Hopefully this is a quick fix.

An absolutely horrible email client. When I forward an email chain, this app cuts off previous emails even when you check the box to include them. It will include one, but if you have more than that you're out of luck. From what I've read online, this has been an ongoing issue. I guess at this point, Samsung just doesn't care to correct the problem. Yesterday, for no apparent reason, the app would no longer retrieve my mail. I'm switching to Outlook.

Was a great app, no more unless they fix it. I too lost the choice to show images. Plus, when you delete an email, it no longer gives you the choice for confirmation, it immediately deletes it. The delete situation is not as bad as the no image, but I do miss it. I've been very patient waiting for a fix, but if this is not resolved soon I will be looking for a new email app. Edit: Yay! You fixed the image problem! Thank you!

This app used to work fine. But with the latest update, when I click on a new message, the app attempts to open the email. However, the opened message only displays the header info. The actual body of the message is not displayed. It's just a blank screen. I noticed other reviewers are also experiencing the same problem. (The issue seems to be happening on email messages that are showing rich content and images. The issue doesn't happen if the email message only contains text.)

Suddenly I no longer have the option to see the images in emails. Apparently according to a quick internet search of everyone else having this problem, the only recourse now is to set the app to always show images, or settle for no images ever. Which is absurd for a phone app. I don't always want (or need) to take the time or spend the data waiting for images to load in certain emails that don't need them, but other times I definitely want (or need!) to see them. Options are good! This is not.

Quality reduction...have used this for years but past months I've had to install Outlook so I can read emails without getting message on bottom that it is truncated (though nowhere have I reduced amount to be downloaded), takes very long when I go to inbox, or trash, etc. Selecting all trash messages, I don't get all: I must "update" and wait way too long to see if more....I'm ready to delete it and stick with Outlook even though I had preferred this app. Outlook was just a backup before.

I LOVE the fact that it doesn't collect any data from me. I will continue using this app for that reason alone. However, the app "loses" emails sometimes, but otherwise, it's pretty good. I will open the app and find one of my emails doesn't populate, but when I go to my email on my internet browser, it's there. That said, it does everything else it's supposed to, and that glitch doesn't always happen, only sometimes, and it mostly happens with the trash folder.

07/27/22: Removed this program from my phone. 07/25/22: Seems there are only two options to display images in an email or not, in settings. Nothing is provided when you need to view images occasionally. I may have to revert to another email program that has a link in an email to show images. Thanks for any consideration. 6/29/22: Cannot change notify tone. Looked everywhere. I want to select a different tone not just turn it off.

This app had become useless because we don't have the option to see images anymore. Which was helpful when trying to click on the necessary image. If you don't have a laptop/desktop your screwed. I'm not going to go to each email to update the settings to show images, waste of time. I'm sending an email to support! Then they took away the option to confirm deleting an email. I wonder why they changed this. Frustrating 😡

With the latest release, I can no longer see any images in my emails. There used to be an option to let me choose, but that is no longer available. Additionally, I do not have the "show images" option that so many people reference. Images are completely gone with the release, which is forcing me to find a new email provider. Super frustrating. Feels like the developers should either roll back this fix or push a fix out ASAP.

Pros, works very well when using two email accounts, easy to set up. I have been using it for years. Cons, it default to one of the emails every few days. You will have to touch the dots by whichever email is showing and tap all accounts and they both appear again until next time. Last I have not been able to get it to accept more than two accounts. Overall a very good app!

Great, but they took away a useful feature with the last update... Used to when you opened the program, regardless of if you had messages in your inbox or not, it would show you the last time you synced. Now it only does that if you left messages in your inbox. I almost always end up dealing with and deleting all of my emails, so the next time I open the program, I do not know when the last time I synced was. It used to always have that info available.

Disappointed that images are no longer present and the flexibility of 'show images' is no longer available. I have been using this for years and images are an important part of my usage. I did try to do the suggested fix however there is not a show images option in my settings for each account. Very disappointing that the app was functioning wonderful and an update took away an important feature. Please fix this for end users. I will be happy to change my review once this is corrected.

For the most part, Samsung's app connection to two of my old AOL email addresses works fine. But on all three of the Galaxy S series phones we've had, the app occasionally spins its wheels and is unable to update and I have to wait until I fire up my laptop to get current mail. I'm experiencing this frustration at the moment, and the "help" function within the app is zero help. When I'm away from the house without access to my laptop, this is particularly annoying. I've deleted apps and documents taking up space, I've deleted emails thinking this might help. Nothing helps. If I can't straighten this out soon, I'm just shutting it down and downloading an actual AOL app.
