Please fix the upload problem. I tried contacting and sending reports but it doesn't get fixed. When you upload from the app, it stops and says waiting for wifi, when you bypass it and upload anyway it does and it completes. But normally when it would complete and refresh to show new files it doesn't, it still shows waiting for wifi. But if I go in a browser it shows it was uploaded, so its a problem with the app specifically

It doesn't even have a in-built App Lock. For god's sake I don't know who designed this app - The UI is extremely immature, it doesn't look modern. The Home Tab is an unnecessary feature, instead at the beginning it should show Files Tab only. And notification, Notification is always broken. Cannot upload bigger files using mobile data properly even when Transfer File via only Wifi is off, and even when you have sufficient Mobile Data Available. Edit: I tried using different network too.

Google drive somehow permanently destroyed 500mb of my files when they were uploading. They aren't deleted, they are not in the bin on the drive, android phone or elsewhere. Subsequent use has been extremely glitchy with files showing as uploaded but then they aren't in the google drive folder when accessed from another device. Usually it just makes me wait ages then tells me it failed to sync. Overall 10% of files transferred worked correctly. Do not risk using this app. I lost two weeks ofwork

have been using Google Drive for a long time. As the uploading speed increased with time and new features were added, I had a suggestion, if possible. Remove the suggestion or give it the option to adjust it manually so that we can turn it off or on or give it the option to hide some photos or PDF files which we do not want to show to anyone.

Three years since the last time I tried it and it's STILL abysmal. Want to sync folders between PCs? Have a shared cloud storage solution shares by a couple with all the important documents, files, photos, etc? Good luck. Not only is it a convoluted affair to work something out, but it'll make numerous duplicates, won't sync 'live', and will randomly wipe entire folders. Been using Mega for years and it is STILL infinitely better. Google. You're awful.

I am not able to upload or select files from my google drive . Everything is correct and no settings have been tampered or changed. I was able to do so upto a few days back. But now suddenly this. It is showing me those files but I am not able to select them. When I go to the app, I can view them but when I try to open the files to upload ,not working. Edit: Not a network issue.

It's a decent app, but strangely buggy lately. It freezes when I attempt to move a file, forcing me to back out of the app. So I can't sort files. Many of the programs you can open files with don't actually work and just crash on start-up. So I can't edit files at times. And yes, I've reported it, but we all know how that ends. Edit: reinstalling seemed to have done it. Thank you. Edit 2: and it happened again. Ugh. Reinstalling did not fix it and the forums are not helpful.

You thought that file storage and synchronization will be easy? Well... Think again! It doesn't work, always crashes, misses files, is intuitive and hard to use. Wow, Google, I'm truly amazed how bad an app can be. Worst one I ever used. Why can't you fix the "synchronization error" that occurs EACH TIME IM TRYING TO UPLOAD MORE THAN ONE FILE!?

Sometimes you have to live with your mistakes to learn from them, for me buying Google One subscription is one such mistake. The google drive app both on Android and on Windows PC is embarrassingly useless and buggy. For many issues (such as getting stuck on "waiting for network") the official website suggests reinstalling the app or restarting the device, and I have waisted so much time doing that. All in all, I would not only recommend, but modestly beg everyone to switch to alternatives.

Video player just changed Sept 26 2023 such that the full screen button doesn't work any more. 😢 Thanks for the reply. I followed the instructions, cleared the app data and cache as well as restarted phone. Same result, full screen vs restore screen doesn't work like it did previously. The video doesn't change size. Google changed the way the full screen video player works and it's now annoying compared to before! Reduced to 1 star after all this.

It's happening again. I uploaded files on drive and said the uploading was successful as shown on my samsung's notification bar. However, when I checked the folder where I uploaded them, nothing was there. I am certain my internet connection is stable since I downloaded those files from the internet and intended to upload them to gdrive for back up. Please fix this bug. It is quite sad to know that the files uploaded didn't reflect on the app. Good thing I double-checked and noticed it.

Google Drive is awful. It is slow and unreliable. Sometimes, files will fail to download. And redownload files in bulk always results in failure or incompletion. What is the point of backing up data if I cannot redownload it all. Using Google Drive via a web browser on the phone is even more reliable and faster, though Google keeps trying hard to discourage users from using the web browser and instead keep redirecting users to the Google Drive app (plus limiting the features and abilities).

Fine enough but pretty frustrating for editing documents on a phone. Specifically selecting and copy-pasting multiple cells is a nightmare; so easy to move the cells when trying to "long press" for copy option. Always makes me wish I could be on my PC to edit, but at least I can view all my docs easily with this.

Update: I created a new folder today , and moved a few files into it. A few minutes later the folder disappeared! The dark theme is still great! Suggestion: Please allow your app to backup and sync folders (look at apps like AutoSync on Android, and the combination of Beyond Compare and Rai web drive on the PC side). The Google Drive storage platform itself is great!

Bug: From Drive, open a file into an external program. Edit and save. Most of the time, the file status works. But occasionally, it gets stuck! In the Drive app, the file status says "Waiting for upload" -- forever! Access from the Drive app is now blocked! Checking from a Web Browser, the changes are actually saved! Removing and reinstalling Drive app fixes the status. Nasty bug. May be related to poor cellular data connection and Upload via WiFi only setting. 2023: Still a problem!

I have been consistently unable to upload files with my phones data through multiple phones. I have tried changing the settings to allow for uploads over data, I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app. I have tried clearing the cache and the storage, and just one of each. Nothing works. It is incredibly frustrating.

Google Drive stuck uploading file no matter how many times I have canceled it. What's worse is going into settings for the app management there is no longer a Google Drive app that I can disable or clear cache/storage. It's just endlessly uploading this file over and over and over for no reason. When I've opened up the Google Drive web page (which is very difficult on an Android phone because the defaults to the app which is broken) it does not show anywhere that I can change or stop syncing.

Still the worst app on the planet. It's such fun opening backup files with nothing them.Backup of 375GB took about 3 weeks to back this up. I thought this was done, only to find the majority of pictures were not downloaded. The file structure was there. But no pictures in files. This has become one large headache that keeps getting uglier. Tech support is useless for they follow the same script, wasting hours of your time with sad results. Love the majority of Google products. This one is awful.
