Simple yet exceptional. I have been using other notes apps for years as i like writing, but one thing they all always failed from is lack of dark mode and or a messy layout. This app obviously solves the first issue and then the second as it is clean, there is also no need to make a to do list or shopping list as its already there, you just need to add items. All in all super simple, clean, easy on the eyes and helpful with writing. 5/5 🗿👌

It's almost perfect, allows me to write as much as I want organize me writing, sort by a few different variables, and password protect your work of needed. Even let's you use your finger print if your phone supports that. And the adds aren't invasive or overbearing. And if you are a stickler you can always just pay the adds away. Hands down the best writing/notepad app I've ever used. Oh you can also make lists like grocery lists and that's completely interactive. So yeah 9.5 out of 10.

Randomly I will be transferred to the home screen as I'm listening to an audiobook that I'm taking notes on. I tried resetting my phone, turning off the rest of the apps I'm not using, smacked my phone on the side 3 times (just kidding) but occasionally it happens even though I downloaded it less than an hour ago. Very annoying however I do like the app it if there was something I'd change, it would be the choice of font usave

The dark theme is perfect to write in during day or night. I like how notes are able to be organized in titles, without many words in the boxes, just the title. I very much love the search feature to look for specific notes and how what is looked for is highlighted. There is only one feature of which would make this THE perfect notetaking app, at least for me. Please, please, please add a feature to make text different within the note, like bold or italic. Is it my phone, or the app?

This app is fantastic! I recently switched from apple, and was sad to lose my usual notes app, but this has been a perfect replacement! Allows me to organize the notes in categories, and displays them as boxes instead of a list, which is much nicer and easier to read than the apple notes app. Love it! Love the different color versions as well- very good app. 👍🏼

Most of the time when I get a note app it is either really limited on what I can do or way to hectic and to many themes. This is the absolute perfect app. Easy to use,(a few ads at the top but not bad) and I really like how you can copy the text you write in your notes because a lot of apps don't let me. I really love this app.

I love using BlackNote ..it's one of the first apps I install on any new device. Obviously, love the black screen since I think it's easier on my eyes but it also is great for easily making checklists or taking notes. For important notes, or whatever you need to quickly get to, you can put a star on it, which pins it to the top of all your other notes. Very easy to use. Definitely recommend

I only have one small issue, and thats [fonts] and a smaller font size. As a writer and enthusiastic journalist, fonts are always needed when noting. They dont need to be special fonts, just the normal Cursive Italic, Bold, Underline and such. I also want a smaller font option because i prefer having lots of information jumbled, but enough for me to see still. The small font limit is okay but i think we can go like 2× smaller than that and still have a good result. Overall, I love this app!

pretty good! have used it for over a year. switching because: 1. landscape mode is bad (it does the android text input thing if ykwim. which is annoying for long notes) 2. lack of widgets. for example I wanted to put a to do list on my home screen. 3. edit button right above keyboard=accidental touches 4. the search feature is good! but arrows that help you jump to the next occurance would be helpful (like Ctrl f in browsers) 5. colors. I am ok with green+black but would like options
One Room Shed
The perfect notepad app. I love the dark theme. It's simple and straightforward. I can create notes and make categories for each thing that I need. It basically works as an archive for info I want to keep and look up at anytime. I ended up paying the $3 for the one time no ads and it was totally worth it. Also I've no problems at all with this app. I highly recommend this anyone looking for a notepad app.

One of the most useful apps I have ever used. Particularly if (like me) you use much of your time on poetry, essays, reviews, and other creative writing. The user interface is SO SIMPLE, straightforward and versatile. I love the fact that any time I go off on a diatribe in a comment section that strikes gold with a point or how I present it; I can cut and paste it to Blacknote, save it in my phone, share it to my email, via text, snap, insta, etc. 👍

it's great. I've never had a notepad app like this. It's a lot like the one on the computer. but I especially love the Dark theme. I wish it had more customization though, I like aqua but having options allows me to choose a more appropriate color, like red or blue (even though it's not a good color against the black background)

I think it's the best note taking app, very simple, and yet powerful. Organizing notes into categories is great. The one down side is you can't back it up with Gmail, but that's probably for the best (keeping information away from Google). You can still save backups but they are physical backups that should be transferred to a computer

Everything was great for about 3 months, but out of nowhere, I'm typing a note, something I add to pretty frequently, the one I care about the most, the one I've put the most time into, just disappeared. I went to close out my note, and exit the app. When I did, a white screen with an ad popped up. Nothing could got me off that screen though, so, I closed out the app thinking it had crashed. Then I reopened the app, and rhe aforementioned note that I was JUST working on was gone. It's nowhere.

It's a really good app, but if I want to work on a story on my laptop, I can't login or anything to retrieve the notes on my phone. This also really need an Auto Save, it's annoying to have to click yes for it to save changes, and the 'yes' and 'no' are so close together I sometimes hit no, so i loose all my work. It also needs a way to italicize and Bolden your letters, as well as shift your lettering. This app is good but if youre writing stories I don't really recommend it.

There's a big flaw I can't live with: Every time you want to type, you have to click on the little edit pencil icon at the top. That's not how a note taking app should work. Notes, lists, etc. aren't something that you rarely edit. Notes being in read-only mode by default makes no sense. If this doesn't sound like a big deal (which on paper I realize it might not), you'll see how unintuitive and pointless this extra step is. Unfortunate, as it's otherwise a pretty good app.

Yes, it is a very good app and I love how simple it is, I just wish it had an auto save so when you close the app, everything would save automatically. I tend to forget to save a lot so I've already lost multiple paragraphs worth of writing multiple times due to me closing the app before saving. Yes, it is my fault but an auto save would be very useful. Thank you for reading.

Very simple design missing one thing. It is perfect, no ads (that I know of), the dark mode is perfect for anyone who gets migranes. Also it has a very simple design and can lock certain notes. I wish you could have a drawing pad in it too and also the ability to lock multiple files at once. Good app, would recommend
