Take handwritten notes naturally on your Android tablet, phone, or Chromebook supporting Android apps! With Squid you can write just like you would on paper using an active pen, passive stylus, or your finger.

Easily markup PDFs to fill out forms, edit/grade papers, or sign documents. Import images, draw shapes, and add typed text to your notes. Quickly select, copy/paste, and move content between pages and notes. Organize your notes within notebooks and increase your productivity!

Turn your device into a virtual whiteboard or give presentations in a class, meeting, or conference by wirelessly casting to a TV/projector (e.g. using Miracast, Chromecast). Export notes as PDFs or images, then share them with others or store them in the cloud!

Squid is vector based - keeping your notes beautiful at any zoom level and on any device. You can erase entire letters and words quickly with the stroke eraser tool, or just parts of words with the true eraser tool. The selection tool allows you to change the color and thickness of your handwriting and even resize a drawing whenever you want without any loss in quality.

Best appeal the pressure sensitivity. NO palm reject toggle or music tab paper tho. Tablature is most common for writing music& needed if you don't know theory like many. Also, the eraser isn't circular & hard to see& No choice of save location. The monthly fee deters longterm use as 3yr=$36, ridiculously high for an app that isn't updated with new tools. This is not a service. More might buy if it was 1-time fee $6. Price is supposed to be set to compete with similar apps its not.

The deal breaker is no zoom pad. The key point of zoom pad is that it is a good navigation tool. For example, if I zoomed in and want to change to the next line, it is so hard to find it especially this app has issues when moving the paper.

TY for the reply, good 2 know there is no account storage. Offline is ok but its not grand for college or work where u need 2 access them on multiple devices. Lot of good options, page sizes + vector are huge plus. Cant delete pages is a big problem I had. The tools w/o subscription are abnormally high ($5 2 import and write on a PDF vs free or $1 in other apps). The brush strokes made with the pen are not always clean or smooth, but jagged and pixelated. OneNote is more versatile.

After using this for months during my online school, it's been great.There is a notebook feature so you can separate your notes for different subjects. I have no idea if it has a limit, right now I have 10 notebooks. You can also separate your notes into sections. For example in my math notebook I have a unit 1,2, and 3 to be more organized. I'm really happy used this app, oh you can also add pictures for free. I'm looking forward to using this app again for my 2nd semester. Best note taking app

Was OK at first, now has two MAJOR problems: 1. The (paid) sync option through dropbox is a JOKE. It doesn't happen real-time, it doesn't sync between devices - if you want your phone to have the laptop version of your files, you have to sync it manually. The Process is slow and has the added disadvantage of wiping whatever squid files you have on the receiving device. 2. THE APP KEEPS CRASHING. I used it a lot for studying, no more. I wouldn't download or buy if I were you.

Great app if it actually worked, I have paid for the premium subscription, and it never fails that when I need to open a PDF document in Squid I get a message saying I need to upgrade to the premium subscription. Even after I follow their steps and hit the "restore purchases" button in the help section or I force stop the app, I still can't access the premium features. The only way to get it to work again is by deleting the app and downloading it again, but that causes all my notes to disappear.

The note app, for its intended use is great. The lack of connected features between multiple devices feels.....2012(ish)? I should be able to start a new note on my Note and then pull that same note up on my tablet to review or mark up. The only cloud options I see is Dropbox or Box. No Google drive, etc. If I can sync my grocery list from a free app across all of my devices, why can't I do this with a note app that I am subscribing to?

This is really one of the best note taking apps I've ever used. However, it would be fantastic if we could copy or cut parts or portions of one file or document and paste it on another file/document. similarly, if we could move and insert pages from one document to another. Also consider layering for those who do tech work or use this app for sketching/drawing and other art works. Thanks

Exvellent note taking experience. I use this on my Samsung chromebook with the S-pen, by far the best feeling notes app on android. I subscribed to the pro mode for over a year but unsubscribed because the PDF functionality is lacking. The fact that I couldn't highlight pdf text for copying made multitasking a pain. Also the way text insertion works uses too much wasted space on big screen tablet devices. If those two gripes were fixed I would happily support the developers by subscribing yearly.

I like this app, but I wish that I did not have to see the actual image of my note but rather just the words of what I saved it as if that makes any sense. Otherwise I love it, I have 8 different "notebooks" right now all labeled different things such as English 101 for my class stuff, I typically screen shot important stuff and simply load it to the app, name it and then move it to the appropriate folder, has helped me keep stuff organized. P.S. I love all the different options for page layout.

I think the pro version is one of the most useful write on pdf apps that's easy to use and edit. If there was a feature that would make this better, it would be to be able to move around the document, or pan around the document using your fingers as you pinch and zoom in as you take notes on pdfs or other documents.

I enjoyed using the app initially, but over time the lack of google drive support and the intermittent syncing to Dropbox became a deal breaker. Even lost work because of that. Existing sync option further unsatisfactory because they use their own file format. One is not able to save annotations to PDFs and keep them organized in any pre-existing structure without lots of manual steps. Shame, stylus support is great but everything else unacceptable these days.

I'm really enjoying this app! I downloaded it in an effort to stay organized at work. I love that I can upload PDFs and edit them. I really like that I can duplicate pages and have an ongoing book of the same PDF. It's nice since I use the same template to take notes. I do wish there was a way to hide or disable the navigation bar when taking notes though. I keep hitting the home and page swap buttons with my hand. Overall though this app is exactly what I need it to be! (I'm using this on a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite w/ S Pen)

Good - potential to be amazing. I have samsung phone and a samsung tablet. I did not realize this app would not sync with both devices. I dont use dropbox etc. I also paid for the premium version and I feel it is basic assumption that the notes within the app should be able to sync across platforms. I also voted on your idea page. Thank you

My friends, because of you I did not buy an iPad knowing there are great note-taking apps like Goodnotes. Your app is still lacking many funtions like rotating objects/ text/ images, for example. But, despite of everything, you are on the right track! Hopefully you keep adding features to this tremendous app which is very helpful to me as a psychology student! THANKS AGAIN!!!

Are there any developer's working on this app anymore? I'm looking for a rotate option (once uploaded you're stuck with the orientation) i get that if you insert a picture, that can be rotated, but an entire page cannot. Again, wishing for sub folders especially as the term is changing, I'm continuing in a series of courses, I'd love to have the subject as the main folder with terms as differing folders. Color filters.. a few simple things that can be done in an update, really.

I am not a good note taker - until now. I use this on my chromebook, and I love the combination. HOWEVER - when my writing hand touches the screen before the stylus does, the screen instantly scrolls to the far end of the page, and I have to pinch and swipe 5 or 6 times to get back to where I was writing. A sheet of paper has never done that to me. This is a HUGE nuissance. It has also crashed on me 2 or 3 times, erasing up to 15 minutes worth of notes. THAT SAID - it has replaced my notebooks.

Closest thing to a SmartBoard for my Calculus I-III students while we're stuck at home elearning! Love shapes menu and PDF markup features so I purchased those features. Base version of Squid is great, but that's all I need. There's also specialty paper backgrounds for advanced math or music or sports as well as a text import feature. It's great that you can purchase these addons for a reasonable one time fee so you don't have to subscribe with a monthly fee if you don't want to!
