Great app. Works fast for me. I was able to attach a lot of email accounts to the client and can easily switch between them all. Gmail doesn't let you manage non-google accounts so this is my go to app for checking email on my phone. The swipe handling of email is useful; however, it really shines when I want to quickly clean up my inbox on the go.

It's still easily the best interface out there, but it has real problems sending email in the background. If I compose a message, especially something with pictures or attachments, hit Send and then immediately switch to another app or even just return to the home screen, almost 100% of the time the email will fail to send until I reopen the app and just stare at it patiently for a few seconds. Then it sends. Edison Mail really gets this feature right but I don't like their UI.

Almost perfect. Using this on Google Pixel 2. Used to have this on iPhone SE. I love the bold and vibrant appearance it has compared to Outlook or Gmail. However, transitions, like tapping to open an email, aren't as snappy and quick as I'd like. The one feature keeping me from completely ditching email alternatives is having to tap to open a long email (ones that get cut off for being too long). I really, really don't like that, for it opens a new window and has to rerender the entire message.

Decided to try Spark again. Still a nice smooth interface, easy to read text, menus, etc. A lot more customization from previous I've tried. But, previous version was much faster. If a message contains an image, it takes 5+ seconds to load the message! I'll keep using for a little bit longer, if the speed of opening message doesn't improve, will need to uninstall again.

I love this app, and used it for a long time when i had an apple phone. Now that Spark is on Android I'm having a major recurring issue. Basically Everytime I send an email, it doesn't actually send, but stays in the outbox, until about 10 mins later when my phone notifys me that the email wasn't sent. If I send an email, then don't look at my phone for a long time, which happens often, then my email never gets sent. This is a big issue for me. Can you guys please fix this issue?

This app has a lot to like, but it also has some issues I can't look past. I like the look and sorting when using multiple accounts, but I am pretty sure that they give your email address to mailing lists. After I started using Spark, I had a major increase in spam messages coming into my inbox. I also hate that the app opens emails in quickview and you have to open the full message in an internal browser that doesn't display the email correctly most of the time.

Spark was working great for the first few weeks I used it (with one Gmail and one IMAP account), but its performance has gotten progressively worse after that. The app freezes while I am trying to send a quick message (sometimes I can type a few words, it freezes for a few seconds, then I type a few words, it freezes for a few seconds, over and over) and freezes while I'm trying to open new e-mails. Now there's a weird delay every time I tap on an email in the middle of the swiping animation (it scrolls 90% of the way then pauses for a second before it finishes scrolling). Their support people seem to be active in these reviews, but I haven't gotten a reply to any of my emails to them asking if there is anything I can do to improve it. I tried clearing the app's cache in Android's settings, I tried limited the number of items it displays for each bucket (including "Seen", which was set to unlimited by default), but nothing seems to have solved it. I have a new Pixel 4 too, so performance shouldn't be an issue.

It has a great look and wonderful animations. I like how the Smart Inbox is displayed plus sweep and pinned emails. Notifications are instant. But it just needs more customization/functionality. I can't favorite my bundles/labels to always display in the sidebar or have them appear in Smart Inbox. It doesn't display number of unread messages in folders on the sidebar. I can't configure notifications by folder. Also cannot zoom in on HTML emails (or any, but HTML is where it's most useful). I'll keep the app to monitor updates to features, but will likely use Nine or Outlook for now.

It's a good email app. It doesn't display some emails correctly which is bizarre and it cuts the edges off others, hopefully just new app issues on Android. I love the customization for all the actions. One issue that is odd is going to the menu you have to constantly click your email account to show folders. I wish it would keep the folders sections of email accounts expanded so it is easy to access. Looking forward to see what the app comes up with it!

When the app works its great... but when it doesn't, it sucks! Why am I having such a hard time sending emails? Doesn't matter if I'm connected to wifi or not. My outgoing mail gets stuck in the outbox folder and has circle of death until I delete it from folder. I shouldn't have to send emails from an actual computer....that is the point of today's smart phones! Please fix this issue 🙏

Been using this app for two years now. The features I've been waiting for finally are here but you have to pay an yearly subscription to use them. That disappoints me because these features are the type of things you come to expect from an email app. None of the features would induce an upkeep costs like servers or ai processing, however a subscription implies there is. I wish it was not subscription based. I wouldn't mind paying a one time fee of $20 for each feature.

This app is super useful for managing multiple email accounts in one place, and it certainly stepped up to fill the gap left behind when Inbox by Google was discontinued and i couldn't get GMail to work right. It doesn't have all the features I loved about Inbox... couldn't even attempt to list them all, and not like that's what they were trying to replace... but sadly, for me, that means it's less than perfect, just "good enough". YMMV

New update, still old problems. I'm disappointed to see that some of the big issues (specifically the one with setting specific snooze times) are still present in an entirely new version. If you want to set an email to return on, say, the 11th, you have to select the 12th - as it sets to an entire day earlier if you manually select the time vs using default options, which don't always suffice. I still think it's the best option but rolling out a new version without fixing problems is ... 😖

As a die-hard Inbox (RIP 😢) fan; I'm enjoying the app so far but I'm having a minor issues with the email view. A lot of emails render wider than my device screen. Also having issues when opening links. I have it set to open in my default browser but they still open in the app. I do have multiple browsers installed and select the one I want to use based on what I'm trying to view so no system wide default set. Other than these MINOR issues, I'm really enjoying the app.

I used to be a big Spark fan but that has changed considerably in the last six months to a year. First and foremost, it's very unstable. It randomly crashed on multiples devices that I have. I submitted a ticket and received "please record it happening". Well, that's great but if I knew when it would happen, I'd be avoiding that action. It's random with no error message. I find it hard to believe this is just me when it's happening on multiple devices. Multiple issues in last update.

Fixed a lot of the issues I had with it. Only thing that is a bit inconsistent is notifications, specifically from automated lists that I explicitly indicate I want to receive notifications from. Sometimes I won't get notifications but other times I will. But with all the other features it's easy to get over this. I do wish that they had all the options the iOS app has like the ability to hide the "Seen" category. Also, add the ability to flag an email from the notification.

Great app, theres just one flaw. I've tried many email clients and this by far takes the trophy! I love the Smart I box feature, the ability to unread an email so easily when in the email itself, the pin feature, and more. I have it installed on all my pc and android devices, just only wish I was able to download the client on my Mac. For some reason it's not compatible. I'd love some darker themes, or perhaps I missed that? All in all, I've recommended this to people, I love it. 👌🏻

A really good first crack at this. I gave it 3 initially as there are some flaws, some minor, some not as minor: Some discussed were font size adjustment in the email list. Customization is always nice. Dark mode! Also email rendering when reading an email. Most of the times it is too small to read and you cannot pinch and zoom to enlarge. Then there is a 'View entire message' at the bottom. Why? When I open an email I want to see the whole thing. So when that is clicked, it renders too large, with no pinch and zoom again. Then I have to close that window to get back to the original to delete, mark unread, etc. Too many keystrokes to view an email. One that I didn't see was notifications. Each email is a separate one. All notifications should be lumped under one Spark header. As mentioned a good first start. Will hang in there as I hear 3rd party integrations, Calendaring, etc. will be coming.
