Recurring subscription schemes only, bleeding consumers dry ad infinitum. Without a possibility to acquire the software once and for all, this milkingware has been replaced with a functionally superior competitor product that can be bought instead of rented. Uninstalled.

I notice that this browser is 'the same' as 2 others browsers.... I think has the best unique set of comprehensive security features of any browser anywhere. In addition, a password manager feature built in would make it even more special. I noticed as well it does not allow you to use the 'ALWAYS ON VPN' feature on your smartphone as other VPNs do. This feature allows no connection to the internet unless your VPN is connected. This would be a true Device Wide Setting..But great app. Love it!

Don't get me wrong, i love avast products and i use them often, but this browser was a let down. It's very slow on my phone compared to other browsers, some video formats are not available, i think if some more features were added it would be overall better, I have hope this app will be improved in the future and hope to change the review, until then i will not be using it.

I've been using a few different avast products for more than a year now, and I love them! They have kept my phone, tablet, and laptop virus free. Also 'pro tip' is you start the checkout process, then try to exit it, usually they'll offer you a discount on whatever you're trying to exit the purchasing process of. Like antivirus or browser security. Sometimes you can get yearly subscriptions of things like premium antivirus software for 10 devices for less than $20 for the first year!

This should be a simple browser, but its bloated. Is that launch animation really that necessary? It's also always nagging you to get "PRO" version, even on its home screen. This is the first time I have seen a browser that requires a subscription to access full features. What? 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ Also what's with that dumb search engine? How do I even change it? This browser is definitely not privacy or security focused, it's money focused, classic AVAST!! Absolutely wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Fails to load any of my still open browser tabs after I try reloading it, no matter how much I force close, clear cache, etc. after crashing. Uninstalling/reinstalling seems to be the only solution. Which is really annoying. Update: Still crashing, then freezing & crashing after reopening. Restarting, force closing doesn't help. Kind of useless this way.

I'm blown away. At the improvements you've made to Avast over the past few years. Such a doddle to use and so amazingly works constantly behind the scene just 7 days. Stopped 7 malware downloads/uploads and 1.87k adds... no wonder I was recharging my phone twice a day. Now its every night. And this is just the free version. I'm waiting for a discount code on the full package before I buy the yearly subscription. .. thank you...

So far I'm having setup issues due to a hacking. This site is highly recommended to remove malicious malware, all the way to the safest VPN for PRIVATE PARSONSAL REQUIREMENTS. Google and vast are a great combination. When I get done I can update all. It's worth the effort, especially when you get hacked as bed as me.

I like the privacy and all the security features but can't continue using it for several reasons. The browser is not customizable. Unlike the new Edge or Chrome. There are also a lot of missing features, main one is the ability to sync between devices which is my main concern in any browser. I also couldn't figure out how to customize this Android version app and allow/strict ads from certain web sites. The browser failed to block Facebook sponsored ads. VPN should be available free & paid.
We do things messy here
I have been using this app for 7 months now and it has been a wonderful experience. It has an inbuilt adblocker and together with its sister app, Avast Mobile Security, it prevents spam tabs from opening. It's a bit slow while opening but works faster and shows results even faster than my other browsers. I have been using the PC version on my laptop for two years and have been impressed. I'd trust Avast anyday.🙂

Literally cannot access the internet. Tried disabling the VPN, connecting to a different country, nothing. No problem in Chrome, so purely this app's problem. The interface is slow to respond, slower even than the interface of Tenta, the browser that Avast bought, copied, then made useless by removing the pin to access it. Don't know how you fail so badly at creating a browser that you fail to make it browse the internet. Not worth the £0, and especially not worth buying pro.

Not as great as expected. Slow most of the time. Piles on a lot of data on the phone storage with no means of clearing it apart from deleting the app ans reinstalling it. Only cache can be removed which is minimal. Synchronizing of bookmarks did not work on reinstall. I could not find an easy method you save bookmarks on this mobile browser except manually. pc version is much better. I moved to this browser from opera browser and will be moving to another browser or back to opera.

Kept decaying until all of the "features" no longer worked. I used this browser to visit sites that would often give pop ups or redirects such as pirating websites. Over the course of my use time I would get more and more of these redirects go through until eventually it was totally unusable. Fix your damn app

I use Avast Browser on my laptop. It's wonderful so try for the Android version. Much setting up. Get to log in set up. And the biometric screen flashed and closed before I could get to it. Then when it opens it goes to flash screen then blank. Seems the current Avast browser for Android needs some serious fixing. Using AVG anti virus. Wondering if there's a VPN conflict as there are many failure reports atm. Will try again in a few weeks and hope the issues are fixed. Hope so.

Great app for private browsing and the list of options for VPN surfing are great too. However, the Adblock doesn't quite work as well as I would prefer. Sometimes these ads are auto-redirecting me to another website from the page I am on. Is there a way to implement a function that can prevent auto-redirecting into the browser?

Great app considering I've tried 8 different browsers because my phone is loaded with malware This is the only browser that did not get messed with the malware and change settings. Once I feel safe enough I plan on buying the security app also but so far I m not safe enough to use any debit or credit cards online. So thanks for making a superior product.

I'm sure, from the reviews, that it's a brilliant App. However, I can't judge that because it won't even get started properly. Tried to install three times. All three times it got stuck on the initialising/initial setup section, from 30 minutes to a solid 5 hours. I'd love to have this, but something is wrong with the App, I don't have any issues with any other Apps.

Good when it works, but is not consistent. Internet access was blocked whilst waiting for over 2 hrs for it to connect to the VPN location. The other browser works perfectly! Also the VPN widget doesn't work. It needs to run smoothly and quickly to be worth having.
