it's 2023 and we still don't have a feature that allow us to send files (documents). also, i use two accounts on the daily. it constantly tells me that the session expired whenever i log into one and that is so annoying. i have to re-install the app just to make it functional again. kindly fix this.

At the time of writing, this app is an absolute garbage and a waste of storage space. For months now it's been plague with loading issues to the point where messages will only pop up 5 to even 10 minutes later after it originally arrived. The search function is also currently useless as it can not load up the messages at all and also lead to the whole app turn blank.

Nothing loads, messages take hours to go through. Worse part is I live in a major city with high-speed internet. I even turn my WiFi on and off again. I'll open and close the app. I'll check for updates. Restart my phone.... it decides when it wants to, if it will go through. Signal works fine though. So if this continues I'll have to begrudgingly switch. All my friends and family use messenger... but I might have to take them with me.

Hey everyone! There's always been little hiccups with this app but it seems like every month it's getting worse and worse. Most recently, the audio quality on videos that were recorded with the app have been THE WORST I have experienced. Other things include people not getting notifications until 5-10 minutes after a message was recieved. I'm about ready to get rid of the dang thing, but it's how I communicate with most of the people in my life. Do better.

This app used to be just fine and dandy but lately it's gone off. Profile pictures don't show, chats dont load. Links don't work. Drafts of messages are deleted if you switch apps mid way through, and then days later the draft will incessantly show up every time you open the chat. Finally and most annoyingly, all GIFs are flickering with a bright white light. Please fix ASAP or it's going in the bin.

I never used to have a problem with this app. Suddenly, I can't view my message requests, nothing comes up on the page, but I have received notifications for multiple messages, so I know I have some. On top of that, I'm having a hard time connecting to the internet. I've turned my phone on and off, closed and restarted the app, deleted and redownloaded the app, twice and cleared the cache. Nothing has worked. I've also sent two reports and it's still not fixed. Not impressed.

It was my default messaging app until it started to not let me receive messages. And the fact that it can no longer be used as my default app. This app was fine until it just started updating and not letting me get messages from my friends. And it just blocks things. it's crazy, and I did like this app. And I can't fix it. I tried and messaged the people already reporting the problem and nothing!! Fix this, or istg

Lots of bugs. Some of the videos that has been sent, can't be viewed properly. Some of the stories, always says "retry". Sometimes it's always a lag, even though I have a fine internet. I can't see the picture of others too. Please, fix it. And also, the “search convo” is not working well, you can't view it, and it loads a lot when you are doing a backread. It's hard switching accounts-_-. what's wrong with the app????!!! fix it!

Sharing to messenger is very unintuitive when compared to other similar apps. You get 2 of your most recent conversations on top and that's it. For any other contact you have to search for among all your contacts. Crop hasn't worked properly since it got reintroduced. When you crop an image, it always gets the edges wrong, then you have to readjust and then it gets them right.

This app is insufferable. Its so hard to work with. I dont get my messages because the app kept saying 'waiting for network' even when i am in full bars and strong connection. I had to always open and close the app or force to stop for it to stop yet after that it'll have the same stroke again. It always bugs, the chat logs kept going back and forth and black linings in the edges. Even after update its still slow and hard to work with. I could review it zero if its possible.

The app is freaking bad and has countless bug, I usually can not see the image which was sent to me when I click on it, although the wifi connection is strong. Moreover, there always have to be a day that I cannot even react to my messages, let alone reply them, unless I delete the app and download it again. This problem happens weekly, which is really really annoying.

You would think that a message based app would do the bare minimum of notifying you that someone has messaged you - but apparently not. It's been a constant and continuous issue. I've been receiving delayed message notifications up to 20 minutes after the senders original time, unless I'm already in the app and constantly refreshing. I find that notifications shoot out in rapid successions because it backlogs multiple messages at random intervals throughout the day. Ridiculous.

Update as of October 9, 2023: So many useless features, it's very buggy. Not low storage friendly phone. The app notifies late messages, even 3 hours ago, it would notify continuously. It's very annoying. Ads wise, it's not very invasive, just don't put too much. I hate how I have to rate every end of the call. It's annoying on my end.

I get so fed up with this app! My Samsung A52s can't always open a new message. I can see there is a message, who it's from and the first line of text. However, when I click on it, it often just displays a screen with "loading" on it and nothing else. Sometimes, you can tap the person's image and do a search based on words in their message, this will temporarily solve the issue. More often, I have to restart the phone! Please get rid of this glitch

Doesn't update on time. Every time I get on the app to text someone, it doesn't update my text. So I have to close the app, reopen again to able to send my messages out. Also, on my notifications, they don't clear out once I've already read them. I had to physically clear them out so I wouldn't get the red number icon out. Honestly, it is an okay app. It does it job, but just not in the cleanest way. A little bit annoying, but I can still deal with it.

Theres an annoying bug that keeps on happening. Whenever I received a message it will be show at notification bar and when I click it, it always takes up to 30seconds for the message to appear. But when I look at the notification bar the message was there, but in messenger it won't appear. Also, it takes a lot of time for my messages to be sent even though I have good connection and some features also has a bug like the "avatar effects". Please fix this, thank you!
The Alienated System
I have been using this app for over 4 years now, it's been my main way of communicating with friends and family. However very recently it's been running absolutely terribly. It used to be perfectly fine but now it's incredibly slow, messages sometimes get lost, sometimes I can't open chats, sometimes it crashes so much I have to restart it. EDIT, it has gotten worse. Now it can barely run at all and photos keep glitching, including profile pictures. It happens on all my devices.

I honestly feel like this app just doesn't work as of lately. When I get a new message & I click on it, it shows it's not there. It only allows me to see it once i close the app & reopen it. This happens with every single new message I get. To even send pictures now, when I click on my own picture to view it, it shoots me into my photo history of the person I'm having a conversation with. This really needs to get fixed, I'm having such difficulties with it.
