Ive been using AVG for many years now. I pay for the ultimate package with all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately I have to spend more money to use all of the features which is extremely disappointing as I'm already paying for the best package they have. Once this subscription is up I'll be finding another internet security provider 👎

I like the app as far as virus protection, but i would like it to be able to tell me if an outside source has hacked me. Im not a tech guy at all, and i dont know if it's even possible. But it would be a nice feature. Update..... well, AVG now has an "anti hacker" feature, so to speak, letting me know if my email addresses have been compromised. I like it a lot. Thanks, AVG!

I can't believe how much of my time I wasted going through each app in my settings to clear caches and clean up my devices on a regular basis before finding AVG AntiVirus and AVG Cleaner. Now in just seconds, all my caches are cleared, trash emptied, files and photos in different apps can be deleted and I'm protected. Love the deep scan feature. App is easy to use. Highly recommend.

As an antivirus app it would be perfectly fine, but unfortunately this is part AV app, part hard-sell for a bunch of their other products. Constantly prompts me to buy things I already have (just not from their brand), and warns of "issues" that are really just things I haven't purchased from them. Quit trying to upsell, EVERY time I use the app, AVG!

My phone clearly has a virus or malware as I get temu ads etc when doing absolutely anything on my phone and some screens can't be interacted with unless I open the apps screen and I see a copy of the page I was on disappear and I can go again. Yet all this app tells me is that I'm not paying enough and that there is nothing wrong with my phone. Clearly cares more about money than searching for a virus that even I can see is there. UPDATE: Kaspersky cab find and resolve what this app cant

Have an issue with random pop up ads on my phone. Paid $1 and change. Then paid about $12 for an upgrade for scanning. Now it's asking me to pay $23 to get rid of the pop up ads. Had I known this from the beginning, I either would have paid in full from the beginning or looked for a different app I used to have an app on an older phone that took care of all of these things for free. What happened to that?

I had a bunch of relentless pop up websites appearing on my phone and I researched the problem and watched several YouTube videos to fix. Nothing worked. I downloaded AVG, ran their scan, pressed the go button, and my pop up nightmare is over. I tried others apps with no success. I'm very pleased and I appreciate their honesty.

Went from free to paid version, however the auto threat scan only performes the scan when it feels like it, not the days and times I chose, so it seems worthless to offer that feature. I will probably go back to the free version after the year is up. Why pay if I have to scan manually. None of the suggestions support gave me worked. Doesn't seem safe if an app can kill avg in the background, as you stated. If I could get a refund I would.

I'll give it 5 stars but it's very annoying to have thet avg bubble on my screen all the time. Can't hide it, every time I'm trying to do something that bubble with the avg symbol is there. If I'm watching a video or playing a game it's there, its like a big pop up in your screen that don't go away. Was testing it but thats a big no,no. The rest of the avg services are good, even the adds are not as annoying as that pop up thing in my screen all them time.

Really good app. It scans all files and apps on your phone. Notifications if you get a data breech. Easy to use. Will automatically scan your phone. I would recommend using it for your phone. If you have had an email for a while, I recommend you activate the email monitoring. I have two emails. 1 that I use all the time and an older one. AVG found that my old email had two breeches. It would have been helpful if AVG could have told me what to do if you have a data breech.

I used to trust this app. No longer! Since latest update cannot find POSITIVE proof that virus database is being updated. I've always had it programmed to run at a certain time. Before, the app did this even when the phone was on lockdown mode: No longer. Furthermore, certain aspects seem to be caught in a loop: run the WiFi scan, then the network scan (or vice versa) and the app AGAIN asks for the former or the latter to be run again. People: I have the much trumpeted paying version. Disgusted.

Updated to Ultimate from free antivirus, all went smooth, good connections, but seems to turn off VPN during the night. Settings are 'always on', therefore somewhat disappointed! I will stick with it and play with other settings just in case I've missed something. If not resolved, my renewal will be cancelled. Shame as I've used the free antivirus, for years, and it kept asking me to upgrade, l did and l got this!! Any tips welcome!!!

Too many basic/important features that require premium subscription. My files are mysteriously going missing and my device is performing actions that I'm not doing, which is why I downloaded the app for added security, but all scans come back clear and my device is still the same, so I doubt this app is doing anything at all. The junk file cleanup does nothing, as my space is still the same before and after. There's way too many notifications. I'd rate the app 0 stars if I could.

Simply dependable! I'm delighted that the free version stops malware in their tracks and cuts them off really quickly. I mean, like the pop ups dont even get a chance to open. Wow! AVG are decent with their ads, nothing more than a few seconds worth of your attention. I think that's fair, not like other less civilised apps that hold you hostage with minute long campaigns. I cant recommend AVG enough. The desktop PC version is just as good! THANK YOU! ❤

I've had this app for almost a decade maybe? When 1st installed, it did everything for free and was amazing! I felt that I was protected. Over time however - every new phone or app update - more and more functions were put behind a pay wall. Now if I use the app, I'm absolutely bombarded by ads and the scheduled scan function is paid, so I have to remember to run a scan everyday. I no longer feel protected and no longer feel AVG care about protecting - just about the money. Changing providers.

The previous version was better. Now the auto scan is upgraded to premium option. There more security in premium upgrade but for those who couldn't pay is a big problem. The web shield gets turned off automatically now and then and the app doesn't give notification about it like older version. If I don't check it personally then it doesn't show at all. It's really frustrating to turn on the web shield feature in every one day. This should be fixed or there will be question about the security.

Overall, the app is good. However, since the latest update, they changed the lock app feature. I can no longer do a pattern. In settings, it allows to set a pattern. When you access an app, it only does the PIN code, not pattern. As I was directed by David, I found that there is no option to only choose the pattern, only able to change the pattern or change the PIN, not to pick either, or.

Good app. It's much better than the old AVG we all grew to hate. Simple installation but a whole bunch of preferences, options and settings to sort out but once they're done everything runs like clockwork and you can pretty much forget it unless anything dodgy happens, at which point AVG springs into action. One thing that everyone really should do is set up email monitoring. If you've had an email address for a long time, you may be surprised at what AVG finds! Overall, a very useful function.
