I have three issues: 1) The font is small and I have to squint to see the file names. Enlarge or add the function to change this from within the app. 2) I'd like the option to change the folder icons from yellow to blue. 3) It would also be nice if the Recent Updates page included the WhatsApp Status Updates that have been viewed. I don't always want to have to go into the WhatsApp Media page and show hidden files before I can view it/them.

First of all, great job Team Xiaomi. The file manager is not only minimalist, but also has no ads, no complex system, and some useful features. It's fast and helps me get to my files quickly. Best thing is it's available to anyone who uses Android. I did find a bug in which when the phone turns to dark theme, the app doesn't automatically switch to dark theme. I have to manually switch it to dark theme. Please fix this. Edit: The issue is fixed. Thanks Xiaomi!

The WhatsApp cache feature is not working for a long time. WhatsApp changed its default media folder location the feature stopped working. I thought the app will update itself. But it's been so long. Either fix it yourself or add a option so that users can change the default folder themselves or remove the useless feature. What's the point of keeping it when it doesn't work at all.

It has all the indispensable features of a file manager. When you open the app it shows the "recent files" tab but there are more tabs: a "search" tab, a "root folder" tab (it shows the internal storage folder and the sd card folder, from where you can manage all the files), and a "storage" tab (it shows gb available, gb used by images, music, documents, apks, etc, and you can clear files from there). I'd give five stars if i could choose which tab appears first when i open the app

Its a good file manager with an option to integrate it with your google drive. Included FTP server means i can transfer files to and from my pc wirelessly without the need of any extra app. My major gripe with this app is that there is no ad free version of it. I will happily pay for it for an ad free experience which you sadly can't with this app. If you wanna use it then you have to deal with ads.

I can't open any video files on Mi File Manager and it's too annoying. Whenever I click on a video file it asks me to open the video with any other application or to move/copy to some other folder location and even after moving them, I can't open the video at all with the file manager. Not just me but my sister is also facing this issue. Kindly fix it ASAP!! Thanks.

Best app out their with one, very stupid flaw. This app is minimal, has all the basic functions for a file manager, but somehow doesn't have its own image viewer which is highly frustrating. One has to click on image to view it (on a different image viewing app), then go back and select another image to view, instead of just swiping left or right. Please fix this minor issue, which ruins the experience of an otherwise wonderful file manager app.

Overall a great experience in file viewing but there are a few things that annoy the hell outta me: 1. I open a video file, it directly chooses Google Photos by default, I never chose that. 2. For documents, it starts Mi Doc Viewer which mostly can't read a pdf file properly, asks me to "use another app". Not a big problem but frustrating sometimes. 3. Why did you remove the Storage Manager icon?? It showed me about used and unused storage and now I have to go to Settinga for that. Time waste!!!

The interface is okay for me. Below are some of the issues needs to be fixed: 1 . This came as a default file manager in my redmi note phone. i dont understand why default app is showing Ads?? 2. Renaming file takes too long to process 3. When copying/moving files it doesn't take me back to the same folder instead it goes way back to the root folder(menu) 4. After playing a video from the folder it fails to direct me back to the same folder.

Almost all is well for this app & I really do hope for devs to update/fix these for the next update: (1) When directly clicking on music file , there will be a pop-up player & when that pop-up is accidentally exited, the music will not stop. Force stopping & restarting is useless unless finishing the song. (2) When choosing to copy/move a file in the same storage, it needed to be re-directed to the 'internal & external file option' & need to require manually looking for the nearest file to move.

Tried to copy-paste a video from within the file manager to a different location. However, as soon as the pasting process started, I changed my mind and clicked cancel. The video is now nowhere to be found, it got deleted without me clicking on anything. It got deleted simply by clicking cancel. It also has annoying ads and it automatically opens the mi player which is also infested with ads, dare you click on any video file to view it. Very frustrated. How am I supposed to recover my video?

Overall, a good experience. There's a bug though. Some folders when opened, gets opened from scrolled down view, like in the middle. I have to scroll up for some folders. Also, it would be great if you could add tabs like in Mix file explorer. Also, to copy or move a file, you have to select the destination from the first, like press copy<(shows internal or external storage)<have to go to the destination from the start. Could just press copy and stay in the same page. Edit: Change the boring Ui.

It's the best file manager I have found so far. Or at least... it was... It has a friendly and easy to use UI and has a lot of functions. But in the new updates you force people to use mi video as a video player which is a terrible app that takes ages to launch and has ads everywhere. At least the ads on the manager itself can be disabled but the mi video thing makes watching a short video a chore

Can't even handle multi tasking. Clunky, super slow, not much features, inconvenient UI and button functions, annoying to navigate between different storages. Unable to set default app to open certain file type. Just bad and annoying to navigate. *Edit: It's much worse. Really slow file read. Constantly saying "Can't move files" without telling me why, when clearly I still have enough free storage left. Transferring files is much worse between the device and external USB drive.

Good app. I just have a minor issue. I want an update wherein I have the option to keep the specific folder I access to remain open. Each time I open a note file it automatically switches to my preferred third party app then always automatically shuts my notes folder (security feature?). It's not really hard to navigate back to my notes folder but when I'm making quick edits of several note files then get kicked out to the starting default folders, it gets annoyingly tedious to navigate back.

I mean, it's decent enough for me to still use it. It does have some problems like not being able to change the amount of files in a row, problems with moving files (it takes too long and sometimes says "can't move" after like 90% of progress when there's everything fine with the file) and you can't swipe to get to the next picture. If they fix these issues, I'd happily recommend it.

I really like this file explorer and especially its theme. I wish Xiaomi would fix the move/copy files where it unnecessarily brings you back to the beginning of the directory just to determine where to copy/move the file when it could just be done without that. It becomes annoying when I have to go back again from the beginning of the directory to the folder I want to copy/move the file(s) to when it's right next to it in the same directory. It also needs a trash feature for deleted files.
