I'm a full-time Lyft driver with over 11,000 rides, and this is not only my go-to navigation app, but in my opinion it is the *only* navigation app that is worth anything! I realize that developing and updating an app is a huge effort. That being said, on the latest update the ability to report roadkill, and a car stopped in the road (versus on the shoulder) seems to have been deleted, and I humbly request those be reinstated since both of those features have literally saved my life.

The app works decently. Only issue I have is when coming up on where I am going I gotta pay extra attention. The app doesn't say "location will be on the right/left" like Google maps. I've had to turn around a few times because I've missed a turn. Also, while using the app on Android Auto I can't get the "okay Google report..." To work at all. Don't know how the app is when not using Auto but it definitely lacks that functionality in Auto

Best navigation app out there! Would be nice to be able to turn sound for specific alerts only. When you turn it on for all alerts - there are way to many of them and it interrupts music all the time, so I turn them all off instead and have to check the screen more often, which distracts from the road. But for instance if we could turn alerts separately for objects on road or anything else that would be really helpful. Thank you!

I don't know .. I've used this app for 2 years.... Its just now starting to give me issues. In the middle of my commute it will reset itself, multiple times 3-4 most times on my 1 hour commute to work. Even my Pandora app that plays through Waze completely stops playing and will also reset. Sometimes Waze won't reload or my speed will be incorrect when I happen to look at my screen, my lil car icon isn't moving and it's stuck on whatever speed I was going when the program decided to freeze.

Newest update and last update seems to have compatibility issues with Android Auto. Seems to start fine but then it starts to stutter, not catch up to where your at on the map. Attempting to switch off from Waze in Android Auto throws a black screen. Love the app, but it sucks that it doesn't work well with Android Auto at the moment.

Waze isn't very precise, especially when I'm making deliveries to destinations that have no parking spaces/driveways, (such as homes on busy streets) and addresses that are difficult to see. The navigation is often 2-4 addresses off from the true locations. For example, instead of guiding me to 5544 Main Street, it takes me to 5558 Main Street, then insists I'm at my destination, GRRRRR!

TWO things to consider... It is a little quicker, (not always) takes quite a bit of time to see how much time is added to the route when you are looking for additional stops. Still not as fast as Google Maps, where this function is almost instantaneous that I know hey this hike that I'm looking at is only going to add 8 minutes to my route. SECONDLY — Waze is still forgetting planned drives so that I have to reenter info in the morning when driving to a destination.

Since Android Auto introduced cool walk i have had random issues with Waze only. Google maps doesn't exhibit this problem. Waze seems to think it is always navigating when it is just displaying the map. Interfering with the in car map on the central display. Causing that to blank the center screen. This never happened before and is annoying now so i tend to use the less useful Google maps instead. I see no work around that works. I'm guessing this is a waze issue not Android Auto.

It looks like it does not work for long distances (blocks/returns) like the ones in Texas. It took me to a blocked road, that's OK and acceptable if the blockage has not been reported but if I did not continue straight as recommended then why the rerouting traces a huge loop to take me back again to the same route that I was not able to take in the first place? It's not like I missed an exit or a turn, I was not able to continue straight, the rerouting should calculate a different route instead.

Hate the new display version. How am I supposed to report a car on the road? The only option is on shoulder. Why can't I see hazards on my rout now? What happened to being able to review turn by turn directions? Go back to how it was before this is terrible. Also, I see why map issues don't get fixed. 20 minutes of answering the same question over and over again. Maybe if you could actually copy and paste from the app like you used to be able to or click the destination and select map issue.

Latest version still garbage usability compared to the old style. If you MUST enforce not using the keyboard while driving at least add voice commands. Would it be too much to ask to select saved locations while driving? You guys make the app impossible to use. Why can we then use the phone while driving? You make us disconnect android auto, use our phone and then try to re connect... Which takes a whole lot more time and hassle putting everyone's life in jeopardy. Just put a warning don't type

My preference for navigation apps but the voice is gone, and so is the car icon and I can seem to change it. It wasn't loading at all so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and that kind of fixed the navigation but, no voice, no icon, no way to reset or change it. ETA: I do not use Facebook much less Facebook messenger. Just fix your app.

Waze is still my goto app for navigation. However, over time I have noticed that it isn't as good as it used to be in directing me around accidents and traffic. Just last week, there was a major accident that had been there for hours and the app directed me right into the standstill traffic. This never happened years ago but happens more often than not now.

Honestly, it's bad. While I can manage with a wrong street here and there, the voice with notifications is low. I've tried their incompetent help, and it doesn't help. The only way for me to use the guidance is to mute all media and crank the volume on my vehicle to 18. In my car 12 is is stupid loud for music but this app is still quiet and that is with all settings set to max inside the app.

Poor directions, declining experience. Lately the app has been directing me to take a wrong turn to then tell me to do a turn around later. Also cannot find an address, which makes no sense to me. Is it failing? What's the issue? I used to count on waze to get me places efficiently. Not so much lately.

Love the app, have used it for years. But, just got a new vehicle (2023 Chevy Silverado), and app no longer shows up as option for Android Auto. Type it in on Google Play Store and doesn't come up. Phone uses wireless connection for Android auto but also tried plugging into USB. No luck. Only navigation option is with Google Maps.

This update made the app kept on freezing at the "Drive Now" screen that clicking in the X to close did nothing! The only way to reset was to disconnect and reconnect. The app is also now extremely laggy and i'm connected by wire not wireless in a 2021 Mazda cx9. In map view with dual screen, press the back button and the Drive Now screen will pop up and wont go away. This is repeatable 100% of the times,so annoying!

This app works well, but it's missing one small feature from Google Maps - welcoming drivers into new states when they cross the border. This is minor, but it would be good to at least have an option to turn this on in settings (maybe even welcoming drivers into new counties or cities as well).
