This app is helpful, it's fast in browsing and helps to minimize data while downloading the app, browsing the web or downloading videos, music, etc. It also helps in preventing one's phone from attracting or absorbing viruses from certain sites.

I've been using opera mini for more than 10 years now (since the java era) and it has always been the best! The android version when it just began too was the best. Now that there are so many ads everywhere, Opera mini used to be the best adblocking browser... but now it's so sad that Opera mini which everyone downloads because of its adblocker now gives unskippable ads. It's really sad! 3 stars

I've been using this app for years until recently it said there's an update to which I did but ever since it updated, whenever I Google something for downloading it switches to Chrome and I can never switch back to Opera mini. I have tried to delete it and re-download it alover again but it keeps doing the same thing. I'm about to to delete it for good seeing there's nothing more I can do with it. And I'm not a fan of Chrome.

You know, last time I checked, a browser that prides itself on ad-blocking shouldn't be serving you ads. Apparently, I am mistaken. Ads show up in your "news feed" (which is basically impossible to personalize), they show up full screen when you click on links, and they constantly plague your browsing with utter stupidity. The browser itself barely works, with it often not even sending you to pages when you type an address. This is utter trash. IF YOU WANT A BROWSER, USE EDGE OR FIREFOX!

The only problem is that when you turn off the data saver, the ads blocker turns off too. Edit : I've restarted my phone several times but the issue still persists.

After updating the app, i couldn't browse with the app anymore, loading very slow and never completed, i have to switch to other apps. This is frustrating.. Fix it pls or take me back to the former app before updating so i can enjoy seamless browsing, it works faster for me.

Still a fantastic and very fast web browser. Those who complain about the 'football' need to learn how to customise their own preferences in the settings menu. Best compact browser by a huge margin. Thank you Opera 🙏

I love this browser so much and put it as my default browser but the free data never works and I've tried by turning on my data and off, I have also made it my default browser but it still doesn't work. Also could you make group pages that are easy to access like the chrome browser?

It's promising. There are two things that I deem it can be improved on: 1) Adding the "grouping" and rearranging options for tabs and 2) Adding the feature of forcing webpages to turn into dark mode when you set the browser into dark theme.

So far so good,opera mini browser is the best ever, with their free data giveaway every single day to their users. I no longer received free browsing any longer. I don't have anything to say now. I'm using MTN and Airtel Sim, but they never allowed Airtel Network, that is when free browsing was working? Now, I kept on receiving advert of free 50mb but I can't browse if I don't have data. Honestly, I'm not much satisfied but I can't say anything negative.

The free browsing doesn't work on my phone even after selecting opera mini as the default browser. It's just worthless and useless, if I don't have data on my phone I cannot browse anything. The free browsing worked before but not anymore this sucks.

Update 8'23: Uninstalled. Too hard to copy+ paste elsewhr. 1'23:Disappointed: "Tech news" = no Tech co. news, mostly cell/game purch. advertorials +lots of low qual., fake + viagra ads! No Ggl-Drive Viewer & share-to-gDrive opts. Can only view/resave .pdfs opened into MS 1drive, no share into MS OneNote. Interaction low w/other apps where i store data. Ok after 2 mos., but boring fullpg adds, so not my choice as default browser on cellphone. Runs afoul of sites using pop-ups 2register 4seminars.

Mostly ok I guess, but you can't see the uppermost part of a website because of the address line interface thingy. Also, when you use Twitter, it constantly tries downloading the gifs you see. Also, refreshes the page when I don't mean to. Other than that it's fine more less

I've been using this browser probably since it began...And the consistent suckiness with every update is impressive.And with the new update...Full screen Ads!! That I have to close the browser first before I can resume whatever I was doing.Dont even get me started on the absolute lag and frequent shut down.I mean...are you just trying to chase us away or what?

Next level of on-your-face ads! Can't even use it for 3 minutes before your bombarded with fill screen, loud, inescapable ads. Also very poor ux design, confusing. This basically isn't an opera browser. Apps are in the app and not on websites let me add

Super quick. However the pop ads are a little jarring. When on the home screen, It will literally just randomly open a Fullscreen pop up ad and or take you to a play store listing for the app being advertised. These are not website ads, but ads and actions triggered by opera mini itself when viewing the home page.

Pages are not loading in 5g mobile data. Worked fine in Chrome. Edit: Disabling data saving mode did the trick. Current version 72.0.2254 has a new issue: Address bar gets hidden and recent searches shows full-screen when editing addressbar. This one happened randomly, and fixes itself upon restart. Edit: Unable to reproduce since.
