Very slow. Everything requires a slow refresh of the page. Very unclear error messages such as "Something went wrong" or "Please try again" when submitting info or requesting a tech come on site at a certain time and date. And they force you to use this garbage app and only this garbage app to activate your home internet access. No other options. They say you can use the website instead which, even on desktop, directs you to a mobile app download page for Android or iOS. Very misleading.

After spending half an hour in chat with support, I moved slightly causing the phone screen orientation to change for a moment. This caused the entire app to crash and reopen. Afterwards, the chat only showed the dumb-as-a-rock bot. Trying to get back to the support guy resulted in it telling me it was open in another window and so it refused to connect. There is only one window in this app. Half an hour for something that shouldn't be a problem to begin with, gone.

Everytime I think the Xfinity user experience couldn't get worse they utterly defy such an expectation. This app is pointless. Since I can't use the admin on my router or even the website to alter my settings I'm forced to use the app. The app of course doesn't work, just trying to enable port forwarding is impossible. The contempt they have for their users is unbelievable.

If you accidentally touch the back button, there's no way to resume chatting with the customer service agent. It sends notifications when the agent sends new messages, but touching the notification only takes you to the app's home screen. Then you're locked out of chat until that agent closes the previous chat. Very major to overlook this. Grossly incompetent but what else can I expect?

Two people working from home on gig service. Frequently have slow speeds and have to reboot the router. Don't know what the issue is other than we are throttled for too much volume. speed still better than frontier, but that's not saying much. maybe I'll try another provider, wait oops there aren't any. the only more frustrating issue is the Xfinity mobile service. that we are definitely going back to Verizon. we frequent NYC and get no service there.

Update: The app is still horrible and does not perform basic functions. All I want to use the app for is to check data usage. The app has a section for that, but it doesn't actually give you any information when clicked. It just takes you to the assistant, which then goes in a loop of asking to proceed, repeating, not understanding, and directing to a useless website. Just keep the data usage view from the My Account app. At least it worked.

I hate this application so so much. From a network security stand point, it is appalling that a remote software MUST be used for any advanced settings such as port forwarding and DMZ. This should be moved to a direct connection ONLY, just like every other network device. The software is also convoluted. Just give us a simple web based GUI. Some of those "Settings removed to optimize your network"... seriously? YOU DON'T KNOW MY NETWORK. This was developed without any thought. 0/5 stars!!!!

App stuck in endless login loop. Cannot access router settings, cannot pause/resume WiFi for devices. Update 8/26/23: The app is actually worse than before. It launches a browser and asks me to open the app for 2FA. I cannot launch the app within the app, so I have to opt for a text code. I had to replace the modem again (second time in a month or so), and I could not activate it using the app. I had to wait for an agent callback for assistance. Highly frustrating!!!

Router/modem says to visit URL to manage device but that webpage says to use app. App doesn't have options to manage device as described so basically useless other than paying bill or something which I don't need. UPDATE- I updated the app and can now find the advanced settings... however, when I try to change DMZ or port forwarding, I get an error message that "Something Has Happened" and to try later. So, still useless and garbage.

Someone broke the app. People are showing as unpaused or paused when they aren't. It's not displaying the pause status correctly, and still when you unpause sometimes it doesn't actually do it, & you have to repeat it. Why can't you unpause devices for a set amount of time also (in addition to pausing for set amount of time)? Also, sometimes it just will not actually unpause or wake a device, and you're left removing the device from the profile and re-adding. Needs a "Wake All Devices" button.

Need to port forward my xfinity router but the app won't let me, telling me that "something unexpected happened" when I tried opening the page. Apparently this issue has been around for over 5 months and xfinity still hasn't fixed it. There is literally no way to do it but through their app, which they refuse to fix.

Customer service/technical issues. My wifi disconnects and reconnects 50 times a day I have rebooted it. No help. I get on the app and your xfinity assistant is USELESS. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. Can't get past the bot to chat with technical support. I call and can't get past the bot to get the issue addressed or fixed. You have conveniently made it impossible to speak to a real live person. YOUR XFINITY ASSISTANT ONLY MAKES THE ENTIRE ISSUE MORE FRUSTRATING.

Was great and then went to a store to upgrade data. I haven't been able to use mobile, text, data, etc since upgrading (mid October 2023). I keep getting weird communications about bill payment and then when I look in the Xfinity app, it tells me everything is fine. So, I don't know what the problem is except upgrading my plan!

Although helpful with various tasks, it is not a very responsive application. DMZ and the Port Fowarding options do not work at all so these two features I am paying for do not work and very slow for some reason. The "Xfinity Assistant" isn't very helpful either since anything I ask about the previously mentioned issues are met with responses that are unrelated. The interface has become very crowded and things can become hard to find for less technical folks who use this app. Not thrilled.

Terrible app. Overview screen has some basic info but a ton of ads, and you can't access any of the useful screens. I tried to view connected devices but there's no way to access it. I went to the Xfinity chat service and asked to view connected devices and it provides a link, however clicking on it redirects to the account page that has no way of viewing connected devices. Similar experience trying to do anything.

This is supposed to replace the Xfinity Mobile app, yet still has no data usage widget like the Xfinity Mobile app? What a joke. You really need to add the widget from the Xfinity Mobile app before you decommission that app, because it's an essential function. I'm really tired of these app mergers which replace a perfectly functional app with a worse app that doesn't contain all the features of the original.

Something went wrong. Try again. Outlook not so good. You'd get more answers about your network status from a magic 8 ball. Speed test doesn't work. Network test doesn't work. Device list doesn't work. I can't wait for them to disable the website so this terrible app is the only way to manage you network. Xfinity Comcast is a terrible company.

I'm very disappointed with xfinity. I use directtvstream and Roku with it. The streaming visual doesn't match with the voice. The picture stops frequently and often does not reconnect. Instead, I get an "Oops, trouble connecting" message. So often, I can't complete watching an entire show, so I search for another presentation that i can tape it. Unfortunately, taped shows have the lag between voice and picture, too. Its just been awful and SO frustrating.Sometimes unplugging from the wall works
