This browser is fast becoming a disaster. After the last update, it now renders around 65% of all web pages in desktop view, even though the default is set to mobile. The user settings are a joke compared to what was available just over a year ago, very little can be customised (especially when compared to the PC app). Of course the menu system, now fixed and cannot be customised to our OWN configure, is a total mess but Microsoft knows what's better for us, they decide!

App worked fine until today...anytime I try to open Edge the app immediately closes and I get an error message stating that the app is bugged and to wait for a devloper fix..I have to go through this several times before I'm able to use Edge. *Update 10/25/23 : videos (specifically html5 videos from what I've seen) won't play for some reason and clearing cache doesn't fix it. I don't know how to submit feedback or report bugs, but this seems to be a problem with a lot of people.*

By far the best browser app at the moment. Faster than Chrome, more reliable than Firefox and with built in ad block and dark mode for pages. The Bing Ai integration is easily the weakest part as the AI takes ages to load and is overall worse than chatgpt (despite being based on it) or bard. With that said if you don't care for the AI the browser app itself is the best out there right now.

For some reason, once you open a website in desktop mode, it will consider it as default and load every single web page in desktop mode onwards. It won't even show distance in maps in the unit used by your country, but in miles. The bing search is not accurate or trustworthy, even if your looking up some celebrity's age, weight, height, birth date or city. It's good for basic stuff like weather, news, gk, unit conversion, etc. That's it. It doesn't seem to know the difference b/w real vs fake.

Video playback is broken. The timer in the notification bar moves at an accelerated rate (~2.4x the real playback speed), and when it reaches the end, the video will stop playing in the browser. To top it off, the latest update has seriously messed something up. The menus that allow you to swap tabs and take videos out of full screen has a nasty habit of completely disappearing for no reason at all, meaning you can't stop any videos that do play. Brave does not have any of these issues.

Edge has become a truly phenomenal browser in its own right, with a snappier feel than chrome even after the switch to chromium. I really love how seamlessly it syncs passwords, history, and bookmarks with the desktop app. I especially love the Microsoft Rewards points you get for using it, which helped me get enough Xbox giftcards to knock $200 off the price of an Xbox Series X at launch.

Growing pains put me off from using this product. Two reacuring problems (currently fixed) are tabs in "desktop view" and "mobile view" will change to the other view on its own. And when selecting text in the search bar by long pressing it selects a frase instead of just one word, this slows down the way I use Edge web browser. Also this "new Bing" ai chat pop up is annoying, feels like spam to me.

This browser has turned into trash! It no longer has any security, so you cannot access some sites or sign into accounts, like Google. The history is horrible and does not fully sync with the PC version and if you scroll too far down the list, it will force you back to the top to start over again.

Microsoft Edge is my default browser since I do not Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as my default browsers. Being able to use the Chromium flags, having compatibility with many websites, and customizing parts of the browser are great places to start. I am giving Microsoft Edge four stars due to a lack of a simplfied UI experience. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox both have simple to navigate browser UIs and I would appreciate if the browser can also provide the same level of simplicity.

The bugginess of this app made me swtich back to Chrome on both my PC and my phone. I really love the PC version, but this Android one STINKS. It's running at 60hz on my OnePlus 8T all the time instead of 120hz, bogs down during the basic tab switching, video watching in full screen and what not. Overall, it's slower than Chrome in opening speed and in operation. Really a shame, I might revisit the app once in a while to check if it had been improved, but for now it's a no-go

I didn't think Microsoft edge would out preform the brave browser. Its by far the best browser i've used for loading web pages text videos etc On my phone when compared to my other preferred browsers. The only problem i have which keeping me from giving it 5 stars Is the sound disable option in the site settings. It just doesn't work if you could fix that little problem it would be much appreciated.

loads slow. better than chrome. I can't find an option for uploading/downloading with Adobe. pages don't load at times, so I get a lot of 404 error codes. I read that Edge isn't supported for the Mobile App, not cool for some of us that are in a situation where we don't have access to PC. I'm working out of my vehicle on Identity Theft and Fraud for over 1800 hrs. since January. Adobe customized all of my Adobe apps to sync across devices & created options for me.

I absolutely love the browser and it has great cross-platform support. There is a long-standing glitch with the app, though, that refreshes the page and loses my content if I switch between landscape and portrait, which is why I'm taking away two stars from my review. The app also has a tremendous strain on my battery life.

Doesn't run down the battery in the background like Firefox is doing. I like that you can easily turn off their extremely biased "news" feed. If you could not, I would not use it. It is easy to declutter the search screen. (Unlike their bing app if I remember correctly, forces the "news" feed on you (uninstalled that trash).

Would really like to have an open tab list along with the ability to have the tabs appear at the bottom of the window vice the top. For folks who have bigger phones, their thumbs don't get longer to reach the top of the display so it'd be nice to have them at the bottom. Similarly, have an option to move the navigation bar to the bottom.

I can see the potential here, but it's just ridiculously slow for me. When I'm using edge it doesn't respond to about 70% of my taps, which leads me to tap the same thing a few times, only for it to suddenly register everything I've been doing and go bananas. There's really no reason a browser on a Galaxy S23 Ultra with a whole two tabs open should be running like a computer from '99 trying to play Skyrim. Leaving 3 stars instead of 1 because I do like the layout.

Ads are no longer blocked by default. I have to long-press and select "Block Ad" on a per-ad basis. I don't want to interact with ads AT ALL, EVER. I don't want to see them, touch them, or load them. Either this is a new bug or it's another "feature", implemented when they realized that blocking ads cuts directly into their revenue streams.

New to the edge experience, and I've recently found that using it on my phone is an amazing experience. It's optimalized my performance and made life simpler! On the other side it uses a large amount of data, but I'm fine with that ATM. If you have a nice device, then you should have any issues with this app via mobile 📱. However, if using this application on my PC, even though I have Windows 11, it just doesn't fulfill my needs fully.
