Used to be my go-to network scanner. Now bloated and buggy. Can't see devices sometimes. Can't scan correct network. Go back 18 months and the app was perfect.

So I paid for the premium service on this app to block a device on my network and it doesn't work. This app just gives you the run around and it completely useless. DONT BUY PREMIUM!!!!

Works really well. Sometimes better if you scan twice to get a full networked device discovery but I don't think that's unique to this software

I primarily use this to correlate MAC addresses with IP addresses on my network. I have a lot of devices that show up as unknowns on my router and this helps mitigate some of the frustration.

I must thank you that i have downloaded this legit app again this time! Very effective to use to monitor who is connecting to our Internet we don't know of. This app the Fing was my personal use before more than ten years ago. Now it has the power to remove unauthorized device. Five (5) stars for this application as well as the Developer.

You'd think that paying for a year subscription that it would unlock all features. But no, you have to pay an additional fee 🙄 to unlock certain one's. Gee whizz. 😒I got Finged...

very many features. a few too many nags/upsells to get the paid/desktop version, but still is a great tool. very cool that it has traceroute, not sure how else I would use traceroute for troubleshooting from mobile. Now, let's see Wireshark of tcpdump built-in. that's cooking with gas.

Icons for devices default a lot, Icons you assign don't stay. Why pay for something that does not work, 🤪 also says the laptop is a Mac when it is a, Dell Fing never gets this stuff right! You spend time inputting the names, icons etc only to have them default. ANDROID 13 Sep 2023 Not a straight forward app with very odd behavior.

Now using it for a couple months now. since its now updated many times i feel like several devices i can only see that are connect to the wifi router it only show 2 to 3 devices, i think its because of many updates i realy think that its starting to downgrade thats why i only rate it a two stars ⭐

Bought a Fing box with some good features . Now gradually the features I purchased are being taken off and a new premium charged for the same. It leaves me with a House brick with flashing lights. Might as well throw it in the bin and save the electricity.

If you're suspicious about unknown devices on your Wi-Fi, this is a great way to assess what's going on... There were multiple unknown devices on our Wi-Fi using our internet!!! Come to find out it was a mix-up with the cable company letting the neighbors use our internet!! We called them immediately to fix it. We would not have known if I did not use this app. **10 out of 10**, would recommend, to any friend... again and again, till the end.

Used to be great, changing my review. It used to have a good easy to use interface and they have slowly ruined it. It used to auto block, but now that's behind a paywall. Even with the fingbox it doesn't do much anymore apart from showing you what is on it. Very sad.

While these apps seem great for viewing your network, they can sereptitiously send your network info to their servers and 3rd parties. So, be careful what you share online. The mobile app w/o an account isn't bad; but, with an account now identifies your homes exact configuration. And, the pc app is even more invasive, with background transmission to servers on a continuous basis. Edit: 04-2021 Fing was acquired by Lansweeper (Belgium) with a much better PC tool, free for 100 nodes.

I install devices on clients networks all the time so when I need to find a device all I do is pull out my phone and fing the network. I use this app more than any on my phone and it comes with some useful features like port scanning and a traceroute feature and wake on lan. The User interface is amazing and easy to use. If you are ever in need of a good networking tool this is the one to use.

App does not save edited names and types. After refresh all names are gone and some devices identified as wrong type. For example, smart watch identified as media player. I spent a lot of time renaming 34 devices and all gone. Also, I have 2 routers in my home, 2nd one configured as access point with different ssid. App shows that most devices connected to both routers! How is it possible? Routers itself shows the real picture who is the connected client and it is different from what I see here

Was a fantastic app once upon a time. Unfortunately the refresh really shaved down on useful features and configuration (like telling the app to scan even if it thinks you aren't on wifi, can't scan vpns from cell now!), and now the push ads with constant poking to buy services and devices I don't want, have to give it 2 stars. Make sure to just turn off notification perms to app when installed. Still useful for local scans, someone needs to share the legacy apk!

I was going to buy the premium version because I like this app and the ads are annoying. But then I realized you can't buy it. You can only "subscribe" to an auto renewing subscription. Screw that. Uninstalling and finding a replacement that I can pay for ONCE. Goodbye Fing it was good while it lasted. ---------- Update for developer response: I would never "subscribe" to any piece of software. PERIOD. Pay over and over and over No Thanks. It took me all of 10 seconds to find a suitable alternative. It does more than your app does, has been updated and supported for years and better still, because the developer isn't a greedy prick, one payment of $4 and it's yours forever.

This used to be a nice simple easy to use app, with a clean user interface. . Now not so much. The UI is cluttered with lots of ads and lots of stuff not related to your network like social stuff and it's a total pain to navigate to use. I wish I could revert to an older version. Guess I'll have to go find a new app to do this. My advice is if you like the version you have, do not upgrade.
