Description of Personal Safety

Personal Safety is a Pixel app that helps you prepare and react in an emergency by quickly connecting you with the help and information you need.

Features

• Emergency SOS - Get help in an emergency by pressing the Power button quickly 5 times or more. Your phone can:
\t◦ Call emergency services or any number you choose
\t◦ Share your location and critical info with your emergency contacts
\t◦ Record, back up, and share a video

• Emergency Sharing - Share your real-time location and critical info with your emergency contacts

• Safety Check - Set a check-in timer for your phone to confirm you’re safe. If you don’t respond, Emergency Sharing automatically starts.

• Car crash detection - Get help calling emergency services after a car crash. If your phone detects that you've been in a car crash, it can call for help automatically. Not available in all countries, languages, and devices. For availability details, go to g.co/pixel/carcrashdetection.

• Crisis alerts - Get notified about natural disasters and public emergencies near you

• Emergency info - Enter medical info and choose your emergency contacts. By default, this info is available when your phone is locked to help first responders.

Emergency SOS is also available for Pixel Watch on Wear OS, allowing you to quickly call emergency services or one of your emergency contacts.
Notes:

• Even if the Personal Safety app is installed, the app icon may be hidden on Pixel 1, 2, 3, or 3a devices until added in Settings. To learn more, go to g.co/pixel/addsafetyapp

If you sign up to this app, it will either continuously detect phantom crashes or emergencies, but registers nothing when dropped on the floor.

A MUST for every tech product that you have or use. My only issue is that it needs to be more pronounced in the lock screen. Maybe some clearer wording... In an accident anyone should be able to find, open & use info instantly. It may save a life. Another great app from Google. Thanks.

Stop forcing your app. Why can't I uninstall this darn app, I am not interested in using this at all. Everytime try to uninstall its back to annoying update and intrudes into personal informations, contacts, messages etc. Tell me a way to be rid of it completely uninstalling doesn't seem to work in here. Stop developing apps that leaves users optionless.

I don't want this app. I noticed when I ignore it long enough it installs and updates by itself. How come? Google, can you stop installing apps and features in my phone without my permission? Thank you. Also, it is not possible to delete or disable it despite your suggestion. Tha I you for your reply. But it is not going to help me and it actually is quite annoying that this will be installed without my permission not can I disable it. I've tried it but it doesn't let me disable it. I'd appreci

I find this app interesting but I couldn't sign in😓I tried with every connection and try again over and over but I start thinking that It's because of my country because my country is Iran 🇮🇷 So Google is it because of my country or is it because of the app problem? Completety useless. What's the point if I can't trigger it during emergency. It doesn't work when I press the power button 5 times as instructed.

Very good that you can put all your info on your phone in a single place that can easily be accessible if needed. All that's missing to make it perfect is your medical history

I wish the app allowed you to add emergency numbers to your emergency contacts, right now it shows 101 as an invalid number and hides it from the emergency screen. A feature I would also love is location sharing with 112

Don't need this as when listening to music sometimes hitting the power instead of volume keys when in pocket auto calls make it a stand alone app so we can not install or make so we can turn off

I don't really like install without my consent, but is a really useful app, especially when I'm walking alone at night, I like that it had some widget to start a safety check faster, and I fell that some review on this app is a little bit harsh and not exploring the full potential of this app

Complete trash, enforced to your device without any Consent given, on top of that and it cannot be uninstalled. They're trying to sell that false sense of security, where the purpose is more than obvious - to use that in any future scenarios pushed on to the public.

I have this on my phone and it's a great idea, especially with how much crazy stuff is going on in my small city lately 😭... it's like people are loosing their minds, morals, and just plain old common decency anymore 🤦😕😭 sad just really sad So thanks to the person who went on to put safety of own self care above their find my phone 🤙😀😻 on the app!!! Phone doesn't work really good if you're already in the ditch dying!!!!!

If you are experiencing issues locating this app: hold the power/lock button, press the red emergency button (don't worry, this will not activate it). The emergency screen will pop up & directly below your username click the bubble field that says "View Emergency info >." You'll be auto directed to the Personal Safety update emergency info page. At the very bottom you'll see "Open Personal Safety." Press that an VOLA 🪄 This app isn't meant to be opened on a regular basis; you set it & forget.

Hope the bugs will get cleaned , 😆😂.not flying ones either I do ask on every app I have ever DL downloaded Bugs be cleaned and even the preindtalled ones Q.how do I get rid of the preindtalled apps My phone 📱.it's a moto G stylus 2022. Ok they made 2 of these But I have one of them .

I'm uninstalling since I don't use Google phone system as my contacts or my dialer+ DEC 26,22 I tried to call 911 and the phone blocked me saying Google needs access to my contacts in order for me too call 911! Seriously wth do you need my contacts for? Just to dial 911? I had a raccoon under my car and you want access too contacts for marketing! My whole family has Apple phones & I couldn't afford one so I have to put up with this intrusion on my privacy? And the car crash system is extra

This app stays hidden and says it needs access to items that I feel aren't relevant to my "personal safety". All you need to know is my location and pertinent medical information.

This app appears on my phone and I don't have a Google pixel phone! I don't need this app! If I have any type of emergency and need to call for an ambulance 🚑 I will just pick up my phone and call them myself!

Love fall detection on pixel watch 1. Haven't had to use it yet, good thing! I like the fact that it is there just in case. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.
