Description of Accu​Battery

Accu Battery displays battery usage information, and measures battery capacity (mAh) based on science.

Batteries have a limited lifespan. Every time you charge your device, it wears out the battery, lowering its total capacity.

- Use our charge alarm to remind you to unplug your charger.
- Discover how much battery wear was endured during your charge session.
 
📊 BATTERY USE
 
Accu Battery measures the actual battery usage using information from the battery charge controller. Battery usage per app is determined by combining these measurements with information on which app is in the foreground. Android calculates battery usage using pre-baked profiles that device manufacturers provide, like how much power the CPU uses. In practice however, these numbers tend to be highly inaccurate.

- Know how long you can use your device when it’s active or in standby mode
- Find out how much power each app uses.
- Check how often your device gets woken up from deep sleep.

Decent battery monitoring app...not quite there yet. The data and information it provides would be a lot more useful if it could track battery health over time. This would allow us to determine if we could improve our battery habits going forward. Also, very frustrating that each log in the history tab actually either jumps back into the charging or discharging tab. Pressing the back button exits the app, instead of returning to the history tab.

This is definitely one of the better if not the best battery apps. But I do have one suggestion, every Android phone already has the option to have the battery percentage in the status bar, can you give us an option to show the net drain or charge in the status bar, The persistent notification lists this as Now: the battery percentage in the status bar is redundant! Thanks for the great app.

This app is on point. It is fairly accurate compared to my non-calibrated USB monitor. It is currently helping me track progress after a battery replacement on my S9+. I particularly like how it tracks per app usage. It has pointed out a couple apps that had excessive background drain, and I was able to set them to go to sleep when not in use. Overall well worth the few bucks for pro.

I recommend this app to everyone, it can help you prolong the life of your battery and also shows you how degraded your battery has become. The only suggestion I'd make is to combine in the history multiple back-to-back charge sessions such as those caused by a loose cable/port. Like at least wait 1-2 minutes before changing state (charging/discharging)

I like the idea, and the app is very well put together. However this app has never been updated in the entire time I've had it. The Algorithm has no comprehension of super fast chargers. But honestly what bothers the most is the endlessly long amounts of data and information they mine from the phone. There is absolutely no reason an app needs to connect that much. In the end its poorly built and I wish I never spent a penny for what amounts to an intrusive and horribly bad security leak.

Decided to give them $3.99 to unlock the pro version. Sadly I would have paid more if there was a way to save your data. As when I reset my old Galaxy S7 which had over 400 charges for use as reference data was just deleted. Would definitely enjoy a feature that allows you to easily save that data as I'm sure I probably could have found the save files prior to resetting the phone however it wasn't on my mind at the time. Other than that it is a great application! Thanks for your great work!

App works perfectly, even as the free version. We think we should charge our phones to 100% but that's not good for longevity of the battery. The app will tell you what's optimal for your battery and alert you when it's reached that percentage, if you allow it to. With cell phone batteries being non-replacable nowadays, it's a fabulous feature to have. There's also much more info given in the app. Thanks!!

It's a good app. It has many features. I have it on my LG G8X for 2 months. However after a couple of months of use with a brand new battery that I put in my LG V20 on the same day I installed this app after a few months like after an update or something the app crashed and lost every month of stored data. That sucked, the app became useless and I uninstalled it. Also don't expect developers to offer anything new in the pro version for CPU usage. We are all still waiting for that to change.

Very accurate with good information. Attractive UI. Has a nice, adjustable alarm that triggers when the charging battery reaches the charge amount that you set. Surprisingly it lacks a widget. If you only charge your battery usually only to 80%, it will extend your the life of your battery. I used this app on my last phone for 4 years and the battery was still in pretty good shape. Great app that really does work. It is worth the money for the pro version.

This is a helpful app with good information. There are a few improvements I'd love to see. 1) Add a graph of battery health over time so I can see how my capacity is changing. 2) Discharging a battery further also degrades the battery, so it would be nice to track the low points, not just the charging peaks. 3) I'd like a configurable alarm if my battery gets below some level.

I heard about this app on the All About Android podcast, and I really enjoy it. I unlocked the premium features and it's well worth it. I don't use the charging notifications, but it's very interesting to see all the detailed stats for the battery. Especially the estimated capacity. After almost a full year of use on my Pixel 2 XL the estimated battery capacity is still a hair over the spec listed on Google's website.

There are a ton of features in this app—more than I'm ever likely to use. The one I really appreciate is the alarm you can set to alert you when charging is close to 100%, but not all the way there (the conventional wisdom being that charging fully to 100% can shorten battery life). I do wish the app could flat-out _stop_ charging at a user-set limit, but maybe that isn't possible except on rooted phones. Kudos to the developers for well designed screens and legibility.

A must to extend battery life. I used to not care how long devices stayed plugged into the charger even if at 100%. I use this on all the older devices I manage & 2 new phones (S9 & S9+). I found on the older phones, it is harder to manage charging to 80% for a number of reasons. Instead, charging to 100% or just a bit less is necessary, but to disconnect immediately when the alert sounds. This is far better for battery life than before. With newer phones, 80% max charge is easy to maintain.

I really like this app! It provides a personalized experience and the data update based on your own usage statistics, so you don't have to rely on Android's estimate of how long your screen/battery will last (which is always really inaccurate in my experience). The entire app is really streamlined and explains the measurements used and the reasoning behind processes in a way anyone can understand. The charging notification is adjustable and really useful too. Give it a shot!

Absolutely wonderful! I haven't seen so much info about my battery laid out in a way I personally believe would make it easy to use for those who aren't tech savvy, the tutorial bits laid out in the app are laid out in a tasteful non-intrusive way that helps people learn about their battery. It's as easy as hitting an x on the top right corner for those whom already know the subject matter. The live notification does not short you on basic info know if you're charging. Can't wait to buy pro.

This is one of the few apps I trust to have on my devices. As unlike the other sketchy "battery booster" apps. This app isn't meant to boost/improve your battery life. Instead, it uses science to extend your Li-ion battery health in the long-term, so that it can hold a charge in a few years and not constantly die on me like my previous phones. To achieve this, I find the [charge reached alert] to be very useful in order to keep the charging range between 30-80%.

It beeps at me while charging to tell me when I have reached the high end of my target range. I can dismiss that alarm via the notification when I want to exceed that charge; otherwise it will warn me again every few minutes. I trust the app. It doesn't give me unnecessary notifications. I vaguely recall that it took me a bit of clicking to set it up to my liking but since then it's been smooth sailing.

I recently replaced my ZTE axon 7 because of battery issues. In an effort to stave off problems with my new one, I looked for an app that would keep track of my battery capacity. AccuBattery was the best one on the market and it was free. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the app uses data gathered from scientists and published in peer-reviewed journals to prove that charging to 80% is better than 100%. BEST APP YOU CAN FIND!!!
