If you asked me a few months ago, I would have probably given it four to five stars,but now the speed and latency are atrocious! Trying to stream a video is basically useless. buffers, and it's extremely pixelated at times. Amazon pages won't load,and many apps simply will not work. I don't know if they're throttling older users,but the service isn't what it used to be. I've contacted customer support and did everything they asked, changing out the DNS. Made no difference. I'm very disappointed.

F-ing garbage! They did an update. Now, when you hit the 'connect' button, it takes over a minute to load. Edit: Correction, now it doesn't work at all. Loads to 95% then fails. Unreliable garbage. 'Customer service' is only a link to a troubleshooting guide. Deleting TardShark and heading back to a reputable company.

I have had surfshark for years, but ever since the last update, I am no longer able to access sites. I have switched to different locations and they all error. Also, prior to the update, I didn't have to tweek any settings and I have tried the recommended settings but still nothing. If this isn't fixed soon, I will have to look elsewhere.

App was smooth sailing for the past year I've used it. But for some reason, for the last 2 weeks, I'm having recurring vpn connection issues and app issues. These issues are isolated to the Android version of the app. Turning off the hidden "No Borders" setting helped a small amount, but today I looked at the VPN app after having connection issues in MS apps, and I saw that even though the VPN said "connected", my real IP address was going out to the world. The 2 stars are for Android app only.

Downloaded app, signed up for 7 day trial. Never once was able to connect to the VPN. Tried all connection protocols, made sure permissions were granted. No other VPNs running. Appreciate the in app help but after an hour of troubleshooting, I give up. Wanted a VPN that works with streaming but this one doesn't work at all. Sticking with PIA. Cheap and reliable.

I was really excited I found Surfahark. Everything was perfect from the first second and for the first 2 days but after the only thing I notice is how horrible everything I do online is when this app is enabled. I really didn't want to say that because it was so great at first and I know how good it can be but I had to cancel subscription and will not be renewing because it's so slow. some websites dosnt even load and it's frustrating.

I have used Surfshark for nearly a year without any issues. However, with the recent patch to the Window 10 version, the VPN has been totally unusable. For unknown reason, it will use 100% of my PC's memory thus causing my PC to freeze or crash. It has been a few days and the Support Team haven't offer any help. Moreover, they haven't respond to my email for a whole day. I am currently using NordVPN for the past day and haven't encounter the same issue.

A little disappointed so far. Loses connection a lot. Then gets stuck at 50 percent trying to reconnect. If I cancel and then hit connect again though it connects right away. At least until it loses connection again. Was using a free VPN before this one so a little disappointed. I'll give it another week or 2 to see if it's an issue I can remedy. If not I'll have to refund, which I'd rather not do.

I love this app and service. The only downside that I can find that when I use the app on my phone, it seems to disrupt connections. For example, If I've been using it for over 10 hours sending a tweet/email or even loading websites will take a long time or load incorrectly. It could be the phone(s) I'm using or that's just how it works without me being aware.

On the real, speed and performance take about a 30% dip when connecting to the VPN. Also there are just enough sites that will not connect via VPN to make using it annoying at times. Having said that, this VPN is the best I've used. It's pretty dependable in terms of maintaining a consistent connection and speed. Price is right. Overall it's a good value for a VPN.

Great when it works. My issue is it tends to disconnect at times by itself, or other times I intentionally turn it off, and I am unable to reconnect after because it seems to think I'm offline even though I most definitely am not offline. I haven't yet found a great workaround to get past the error, but seems like constantly killing and restarting the app and going back and forth to AP mode gets it to allow me to connect again. Very annoying, and also means you have to constantly verify on.

Amazing service when I first signed on last year. Since the service has gone down hill. Constantly having issues with staying connected. There are times I have to go through several points before I find a connection. There are so many positives with the various options they provide but if I have to spend so much time every other day working on the connection it is pointless.

Twas great... At first. Slowly, I've been having to add more and more apps to the tunneling (bypass) list because they just don't function with surfshark anymore. I ultimately had to go with a different VPN which doesn't require constant pauses, disconnects, and functional issues. I've tried troubleshooting and done a lot, but with one switch of my VPN provider, everything is finally working again.

Works alright. Disconnects without warnings or notifications and crashes maybe at least once a week? Sometimes it refuses to connect no matter the protocol used or if borders are on or off. It's an okay deal but I can't see myself renewing my subscription. Sometimes it's incredibly awesome and most of the time it's alright to extremely fruatrating. I probably wouldn't choose to pay for this service again if I had the choice.

Despite low fees and stable connectivity with manageable delays, I've experienced significant speed drops during work hours. Accessing networks has become troublesome; even "fastest location" doesn't help. I often disable VPN to access anything. Additionally, the UI was updated on Jul 12, 2023, but notifications and widgets vanished. I can't pause the app as soon as possible during slow speeds. It's really frustrating for me 🙄.

It's hit or miss. I've had this for over a year. There's a lot of protection, however way too many sites & apps recognize it as a vpn, which results in not being able to log in to a site, some online accounts being locked because of "suspicious traffic", etc. Too often, I've had to disconnect the vpn completely to be able to access a site/app. I haven't had any problems with speed, so that's a plus.

Update; Regardless of my effort to contact customer support, they are not able to offer any real solution. In fact, the issue is now worse. I am not able to access the internet when connected to the vpn. "Of recent, I have been having issues with this VPN. Especially with Geo blocking on so many apps. Even though I chose a server in the location of the app, it still detects my true location and blocks my connection. I wonder if every other app can see my real IP."

It started to disconnect when using Google chrome via the "fastest location" option. I reached out for help, they couldn't figure it out. Told me "use other locations." Then it started to drop connection frequently even when using other locations. Reached out for help again, they couldn't figure it out again. Not to mention the chats were disappearing after they asked me to go to the app and change settings. The answer from them: "I don't know why the chat disconnected." All in all-lousy service
