I love the app. I don't know how I went so long without knowing about it. The customizable features are awesome. My favorite feature, is the overlay. When you open a message from the notification menu, it opens as an overlay, no matter what you're doing, and the overlay automatically closes, to return to whatever you were doing, as opposed to using the app changer

Really love this app! For many reasons but the main ones are that it's super customizable, you can get the premium version for a very reasonable one time charge, not a ridiculously high monthly subscription amount, (because who can afford that these days?), and because of their incredible customer support. I emailed a question and literally had an answer, not just a reply but the actual answer to my question, answered by a real person, within a couple of hours! Amazing!

It can be so dam annoying. It skips spaces all the time. This software was created with little updates and advanced features. I am not going to buy new phones in the future. You are giving us fewer technical services. This feels like a cheaply created version. I think you're not paying or hiring the best phone techs any longer. It is very obvious, and it is a new wave of business practices that has become increasingly popular and put into practice. Do you think we are stupid and not notice.

Been using Textra for a couple years now and overall I really enjoy. Paid for the full version for no ads. One change I'd like to see is to just be able to add another person to a group text with having to start a new one and adding everyone again one by one. If I already have 7 people in a chat and wanna add another I don't like having to start over and add them all one by one.

I have been using this app for over 10 years and I've had no problems with it, but recently I've found that some of my texts were never sent, and I've missed a few very important texts from friends because they were never received. For now, I can't trust a texting app if I can't be sure that I'm receiving all messages directed to me or that everyone I text is receiving my messages - so I'll be sticking with my default texting app until this is resolved.

So far so good. No ads yet. Update: there are ads but at the top of the screen. You have the option of putting them at the top, bottom, or on top of individual texts. Also, for some reason my texts weren't coming through for the rest of yesterday and most of today. I was able to send them and they were being received but I wasn't getting anyone's texts to my phone. I had to restart my phone and all of my texts were coming through. This was a first. If it happens again I'll delete the app

The main problem I have is that the, "MMS can't time out" message I get all the time. It's annoying AF. It's not my phone service either. Please fix this. I don't like paying for those kinds of constant, repeating errors. I've had this app for years now n no one cares to fix the issues. It sucks, don't buy it!! I have used other texting apps, n I NEVER get that message. The blocking feature is USELESS. I'm getting porn from unknown numbers. This app is GARBAGE 😠

Generally works well and I have enjoyed using it. It's better than Verizon messages. Several things drive me nuts. 1st you can't remove individuals when replying to group text. 2nd groups are a PITA; hard if not impossible to add and delete individuals (basically you have create a new group, delete the old one, then rename the new back to the original). The really annoying shortcoming is it will not send a .pdf as an attachment. I emailed tech support to confirm; no explanation given.

Constant improvements. I like the way the app lets you customize your conversation, the speed is a plus. Textra saves your conversations so you can refer back to them when needed. If you are concerned about the need for bug fixes Textra alerts you it's just a great app to use. I will highly recommend Textra to anyone. Anyone

I have the pro version and have used it for quite a while now. Anytime there have been any issues they seem to fix them fairly quickly. UPDATE: I contacted the developers, and they got back to me within a couple hours. Very IMPRESSIVE! Good, friendly, responsive CS, a pretty darn good product. They instructed me on how to get & reply to messages on my watch. Now hoping for a fully integrated app for watches that would be the proverbial cherry on the cake. IMO

Can't click on link to open have to copy whole message*** Update/additional feature request: Would love to be able to archive threads / conversations, so I can use search more efficiently. Great app. Would love a toggle for group vs bulk messaging at the message level, rather than having to go into settings, but the pinnable contacts has made this my go to messaging for years now.

Textra is great. I was hesitant to upgrade to pro, but I did. My hesitation comes from the fact that there is a lack of support for RCS. If Textra were to get this implemented, and with a few other tweaks, like adding options such as "send location", Textra would easily wear the 'Messenging King/Queen's crown 👑. I'll gladly change my stars from 3 to 5 if I ever see RCS get implemented into this already awesome app.

Updated Review 8-10-23 I changed cell phone plans from Straight Talk (Verizon) to Visible (Verizon) and lost the ability to use Textra. The people at Textra tried to help me but Visible is blocking it. Here is my advise. If you can use Textra you will love it. I am really sorry I am being forced to give it up. Original Review: Very nice. Much better than the phones text app. It has send timers and allows for mulitple signatures.

I have been using textra for about 4 years. I think it is great. I can send texts, and receive texts from numerous sources. The most important feature is that that it works without problems. and if youy want to do something like sending photos to the family you can always find help on the internet on how to do this exotic stuff using Textra.

I changed to Textra when Mood stopped showing me ½ my messages. I'm very happy with Textra. It has the must-have delayed delivery, plus many other features. The developers are very responsive to operational questions. 8/3/23 UPDATE: Textra is still great. It has a lot of features and style options. I like that new features don't change how I use only basic features. I don't have to change with updates to the app.

Have used textra for years. Love the app. Might have to stop using it due to not being able to get text messages on my watch if I'm not near my phone. There's no compatibility with my watch messages. I get messages just fine if I'm connected with Bluetooth, but I can't receive them if I'm only on LTE.

Love this app so much! The pros are incredible: customization beyond my dreams: colors, notification icons, notification frequency per contact, notification style per frequency. Delay sending which works perfectly. Clean and easy to read layout. Only glitch is fixable as noted below from developer. I am back to Textra after a dreadful week long break and at about 18 months of use and my only problem is fixed I am not going anywhere! Truly a phenomenal app!

Gorgeous & No-Nonsense, Best in Class Texting! Fully featured, customizable, & elegant. NEARLY PERFECT! PLEASE ADD: Option for Material & Samsung One UI -style "half screen" interface, so that recent texts are closer to the bottom of screen & thereby user's thumb! Instead of needing to stretch thumb all the way to top of texts list at top of screen.
