Description of Synology Secure SignIn

**Synology NAS and a Synology account are required for this Application.**

**DiskStation Manager 7.0 or above version with Synology Secure SignIn service enabled is required.**

Synology Secure SignIn increases account security and offers two verification methods: Approve sign-in and verification code (OTP). Approve sign-in can be used to replace DSM password. For enhanced protection, use either method as the second sign-in step of 2-factor authentication.

Unfortunately doesn't work, scan QR code or manually enter details produced same authentication code unfortunately those codes are not recognised by the NAS

The app dies not even install on my Android phone. Every installation attempt crashes prior to the app being installed.

Why this apps keep crash and force closed, I cannot login to my Synology account because I can't get my code fron this apps, kindly fix it I already send report from the apps.

Complicated and not user friendly and unnecessary. You could use 2FA via phone number or email address instead of this cumbersome app doesn't work very well

Why yet another 2FA application. Please consider using one of the other mainstream apps, like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Also, this Authenticator won't even scan the Synology QR code. Keeps saying invalid QR code, even after regenerating it.

doesn't always catch logins unless I have the app open, but it's a great tool if you're already prepared.

Doesn't work. Set it up with qr code but don't get any notifications or approval requests.

held the camera to the qr code in different zoom modes for multiple minutes... it will not link. edit: still not working. only manually adding worked

Awesome addition to DSM7. allows me to sign in much faster without password/authenticator yet whilst still keeping it secure.

Only works sporadically. So most of the time I need to have an emergency code sent by email. And then the idea about an app is kind of gone...

Completely unnecessary waste of time. My Synologies are 3 metres away from me, only my wife and I have access and they insist on this if I want to access it through a browser.

DO NOT USE! This app. I got locked out and NAS wouldn't accept the code.! Had to use the RESET button on the back of the device to get access back to DCM

App is great and login with DSM is smooth. Nice work ! It could be nice to be able to save otp code to a Synology Nas.

Very convenient and easy to use. But sometimes it says login error even though I have scanned the QR code successfully. I have to scan the same QR code 3 times to setup Secure SignIn successfully in this app.

They did not add Synology to the app name so I could not find it when I needed it on my phone. I bet that when you searched for this app you added Synology in your search string and it helped you find the exact app you were looking for. Once you install it on your phone it doesn't say anything about Synology and if you search for it on your phone will not find it. Developers: if it's not important to have the name on the app on your phone then it shouldn't have the name in the app store either.
