Description of dataDex - Pokédex for Pokémon

dataDex is an unofficial, beautifully designed Pokédex app for everyone to use.
It contains detailed data on every single Pokémon, for every main series game ever released, including Scarlet & Violet, Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Sword & Shield (+ Expansion Pass) and Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee!

Multi-language support:
- English, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Hebrew
- Data only: Japanese, Chinese

I love this app. It is so helpful. It looks sleek and professional, and is very easy to use. I recommend this app for any pokemon fan! There are ads, but such a small amount. Every once and a while there is an ad, but I don't notice them. Most free aps are covered in ads, and this app has such a great balance between ads and no ads. The go pro feature is not shoved down your throat like other apps. Honestly, I love this app 😁

Honestly, it's got everything that a Pokedex could need! Team builder, attacks, dex entries a dark mode. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there's no full screen mode to just look at the Pokemon. Also, the colors can get pretty monotone. Adding color to the Pokemon types would definitely look more appealing when looking at them individually. But honestly, it's all good to me!!

This Pokédex app is amazing! It's easy to use and has so many different ways to access specific information quickly! The entries are thorough and accurate, the Pokédex voice can be customized to make it sound like the real thing, and the graphics are simple without being boring! This app does exactly what you'd expect it to, and it does so well! That's a 10/10, highly recommend! I would call it a must-download for any serious Pokémon fans!

The Free version dose it's job extremely well. It's clean and professional. I love the aesthetic. The paid version dose not add enything. The team builder is hard to use an has no search system in place. I think it would be worth it at a lower price, just to help them out with development but as things stand $3 was not worth. - keep free version.

I quite enjoy the app, it's easy to use and informative. This most recent update seemed to have caused a strange glitch where the profile pictures for the Pokemon do not show. I've tried many things to troubleshoot and nothing seems to work. It's not a big deal, but it is enough for me to not want to use the app as much. Hopefully it'll be fixed next update.

Works, but... more than half the time it only limits the move selection choices to "Level Up" and "Tutor", meaning you can't select from the full range of moves a Pokémon can actually learn. An example is Sylveon being able to learn Psyshock via TM/TR, but the "TM" option for skills is only visible on the very first launch of the app and selection of a Pokémon, and even then isn't guaranteed to show up as an option.

I've been a pro member for probably a year now, and I've loved thus app since I first installed it a long while back. But since the newest update, I've been experiencing more bugs than I ever have before. Sprites no longer show most of the time, even with perfect internet, and the locations no longer show correctly, if at all (not in reference to the new location dex). I would love for this app to return to proper function! But thanks to the devs for such a useful app!

It's a good DeX, covers all the information nicely and with decent toggling controls for flipping between generations and games. I'd really like them to add in the different forms of certain pokemon. Like minior's or floette's available colors, or sawbuck's seasons. Also the rest of the male and female differences. Otherwise it's cracking. Worth the $2 for pro.

I like the app and very useful. The only issue I have right now (I don't know if everyone has the same issue), is that when looking up pokemon's ability. lets say for example when I tap sheer force, the title sheer force blocks the majority of your screen and can barely see the description of the sheer force.

Absolutely hands down the best pokedex I've ever used. Simple layout with large, detailed sprites. Very intuitive, and completely free. One small problem. Can you make it so that I can see version exclusives between games? That way, I can star those not in my game, and mark them off as I collect them.

Great app, it's helped me on so many occasions. I've been using it for years, with very few issues, and any issues that exist are promptly patched out in the consistent updates. The addition of the sprites from each game version is very nice, and the move and ability dex is super handy. It's an incredible free app, and upgrading gives you great features, but the app feels complete even without them. Couldn't recommend it enough, if you want a Pokédex app, go with dataDex

I love this app and I use it for my teams and to keep track of the Pokemon I catch in Shield, but I'd like to be able to create multiple caught lists based on the game I'm playing at the time. It would be confusing to be almost done with Pokemon Red, but just starting out in Ultra Moon, and there's no real differentiation to make between the Dexes. I think this would be useful for people who often do trading on HOME as well.

Even the free version is great. i plan on trying the pro version soon if only to support the developer. the only thing that could make it better is if there were shiny sprites and alternate forms available in the app. Update: teambuilder needs to allow moves learned by previous evolutions that can't be learned on level up by the final evolution. only problem with it so far. Smeargle needs access to all moves as well.

If you're looking for the most complete Pokédex on the Play Store, this is it. Gorgeous UI, super easy to navigate, and as much information on everything from mons, to moves, to abilities, to natures, and so on that one could ask for. You can sort by stats, filter by type/gen/game, and so much more. The full package and more.

Love the app so much! One thing I'd really love to see for it is a simple scroll bar to the side. Something I can tap, hold, and drag up and down to pan through the list. I mean...just try swiping over and over and over amd see how long it takes to get from top to bottom, lol. HUGE quality of life improvement for the app! Will give a fifth star to see that!

i found a bug. when i type in the search bar the letters are white (on a white background) or the letters are simply not showing at all. i can see the text line moving so i know it's inputting characters but i can't see them. i can press and hold to select and copy etc and the highlighted letters are shown only when highlighted. please fix this.

App works great until you try to transfer your data. I got a new phone and I can not sign into my account. Whenever you Tru to sign it just brings restarts. I even reached out to the developer to get help and never got a response. This is an app that I paid for the pro version and I can't even sign it. So it works but don't think you can transfer the data. Edit: Developers never responded to my attempts to contact them, but they did update the app and my issue was resolved.

Edit: I realized there is a way to swap dex entries it's a bit unintuitive, but it is there! --- Super useful and visually appealing while remaining functional! Only extra feature that could make it better is having the option to view every Pokemon's dex entry from every game rather than just one. But regardless, for the price it's worth grabbing!
