Description of Cx File Explorer

Cx File Explorer is a powerful file manager app with a clean and intuitive interface. With this file manager app, you can quickly browse and manage the files on your mobile device, PC, and cloud storage, just like you use Windows Explorer or Finder on your PC or Mac. The perfect app for file management within Android OS. Everything you need: basic functions like cut, copy, and paste; folder creation, contextual options (like "open with," VERY useful), proper selection functionality (select between x and y, select all), everything a file explorer should have in a simple, intuitive package - IMO it should be built-in. A must-have for anyone trying to get the most from an Android device, and the easiest way to show iPhone users what they're missing.

Had to drop to 1 star. When you demand access to all files and do not make upload of personal data optional you immediately get uninstalled. Liked the app, but it has overstepped its bounds. ---‐--‐---‐---------------- Great app. Only thing I'd change is the ability to have larger thumbnails when scanning through folders with images.

This app does everything I want it to. Easy transfer between internal and external SD, easy FTP connection to transfer to PC and back, and even MTP connection to external NAS. It works better than the default app that the NAS comes with to access files on your phone. My life is so much better because of this app. No more cable to add files to my phone! Other FTP apps tried to do the same thing for me, but were difficult and wouldn't connect to the external SD card. This is so easy to use!

I've been using this app for a fair bit of time now, and so far it's better than any other Android explorer I've used. The ease of transferring files between my various FTP and SMB shares is fantastic; I find the experience even smoother than the likes of the windows file explorer. I'm surprised that this app doesn't offer popup ads (like EX explorer now does), and I hope the quality stays where it is.

I needed a replacement for ES File Explorer as the version I had no longer supported up-to-date key exchange methods for OpenSSH. I didn't want to go with a newer version of ES File Explorer as it's just become an ad-riddled mess. Cx File Explorer fits the bill. So far it's advertising free and it works fantastically. SFTP file copies are also much faster! Keep up the great work!

A good file manager that works as I'd expect. Bonus points for being free, no ads, supporting network files and having built-in viewers that are also network/directory aware and allow navigation between things like image files in a directory without having to back out to the file list; also seems to cache nearby images for faster loading. (You'd be surprised at the number of paid apps don't do these things.) The ui might not be exactly what you want, but the app is well made and useful.

Truly excellent. I used ES file explorer for many years - until it was found to have spyware. I've tried so many others, each falling in some critical way. CX is not the prettiest I've used, but it's loaded with useful features... and they all work. FTP uploads work flawlessly. I'd love to see support for more cloud services, as I use quite a few of them.

This app has excelled at managing files, and all of its extra features (built-in music player, text editor, access files over network, etc) worked well enough for when I needed them. Clean interface, much faster than the built-in file viewer. 5 stars seems kind of low for how good it is, for how long I've used it, and for how much use I've gotten from it.

I love it! (changed to 5 stars) Works about as well as my previous favorite, ES File Explorer, and actually better in that I can access pictures as easily as a gallery app. One thing: capacity to open several windows would be awesome, but not a necessity. Other highlights that some FM apps don't have: 1. Access to cloud storage. Please do whatever it takes to keep that feature. 2. Create shortcut to any file/folder on home screen.

Already ecstatic with it within 5 minutes. I'm very grateful that it's not only free, but there's also no ads. Just fantastic. The interface is the initial thing that caught attention; beautiful, neat, professional-looking, and customizeable. Here's the kicker, so far it's more than just a file manager; it's also an app-uninstaller and storahe/cache manager as well. Just... Awesome. Update 2 years later: It's still the best, along with detecting storage devices via USB 2.0 adapters suplants.

Easy and intuitive to navigate through storage in various devices quickly. Very informative and simple layout that was clearly made by people that used it themselves before releasing it. The ability to return to the home page, or the page that you can copied/cut a file from, no matter how many sub folders deep you are in another device is WONDERFUL. Makes complicated transfers very easy. Same goes for the built-in .zip extractor, image viewer, video player, compressor, etc. Highly recommend.

Have been needing to transfer files from my pc to my new phone via wi-fi (not enough USB ports available (and I don't want to open my pc to install a card). I must have tried a dozen "FTP Server" apps and all of them were worthless. This is the only one that would allow me to successfully add a network location into Windows File Explorer and actually let me copy files from my desktop to my phone. All the other file management functions (of which a few are missing but without which I'm ok) do the infrequent jobs I need done. So thanks DEV for making something that works right!!!!!

I was using File Manager (not this one ) but I could not get it to play files in serial order. I gave up, uninstalled it and found CX (this one) and it plays files just the way I want. Surprisingly, the user interface looks EXACTLY like the other one except that it works better. I tried to find a way to set up my PC as a linked device the way I did with Google Drive but failed. I would love to have a way to transfer files to my PC easily. This won't even upload a file to Drive. Another app?

I've been using this for maybe around a year and a half now and I have absolutely no complaints. The UI is perfect for me (especially compared to my phones default file explorer), it runs really well as there have been no temporary freezes or crashes, and all files are removed, copy/pasted, and moved really quickly. There's also the added plus that whenever I'm going through my android folder, all of the sub folders display the icon of the app that they are related to - simplifying browsing.

Just installed this app last night and so far so good. Pretty impressed with the features and the ability to access my network attached storage device where I keep all of my media. CX File Explorer may very well replace my current file manager, which was removed from the Play Store a couple of years ago for um, reasons. I haven't wanted to part with it because it is very good and does exactly what I need, but CX file Explorer may just change my mind.

VERY long time es file explorer user. Thank you for your time building a great app. There's a few things that would be nice. Allow us to removed the wasted top half of the home screen. I have several network locations but have to scroll to see them all because of the "analyze" area taking up more than half the screen real estate. Also please allow us to add our own favorite links under local and library like we can under network. Changing the icon size and layout would be icing on the cake.

The interface looks pretty good (It's subjective tho... And I think the fact that it kinda looks like my default file explorer makes me even more biased)... And it has its own file viewer (like an image viewer, video player, and music player), which is surprisingly good... I also like the sorting algorithm (1, 2, 10, instead of 1, 10, 2)... And it has the network feature that I was looking for...

There nothing out there that I am aware that can be compared to Cx File Explorer. My other favorite program, the FX File Explorer. I could see the files on my router external storage and transfer them to my phone, however, I can't send anything to it from my phone. With The Cx File Explorer, it works both ways. Thank you for such a superb work!
