Wow. I'm quite impressed by the amount of things you can use in this app. This app has very many functions other than color and brightness. Thumbs up to the developers for working hard on this app and adding many ideas. Seems like people run into technical issues. I just started using the app, but no issues right away. It's possible people are not using the app correctly and a simple user interface will be better for some users. Not me though, I can handle it and prefer the most options.

The products are good, the app is leaves much to be desired. The new version still won't allow (basic) total room control - i.e. on/off; sometimes it turns on 6 lights sometimes 10. Uniformity in UI is important but the app and product WORKING is paramount. Edit: the new version didn't do it for me. I've got all 12+ office lights on a VLAN (not Bluetooth) and the controller on the same network. It appears to be a hardware problem if the most recent update addressed this.

Updated 3/12: Well, it's now working, so nice to see that was resolved. Only issue now is some of the sensors that are further away not in direct line of sight have a lag with updating, the graphing of data over time isn't work 3/09 Worked originally, now it doesn't. Since the update, I've tried adding a new sensor, but it keeps telling me that I'm using an older version of the app...despite uninstalling and reinstalling it three times. It still will not add the third sensor. Very disappointed.

Controlling Bluetooth lights is a pain sometimes. There doesn't seem to be a way to just tell the app to connect to the lights so you have to tap commands multiple times hoping it will work. It's also a bit of a mess. I'd love to see some organization and simplification of the UI so it doesn't take as much work just to turn on a group of lights. There's also a LOT of advertising going on for their own products which gets annoying.

Lights are awesome. However, the app is lacking scene functionality for bluetooth devices. Being able to set multiple timers would also be nice. I want to be able to set a scene, between two strands, that syncronizes and/or flows between multiple settings. Also, the Fade function was working flawlessly at first. Now it is adding a few more shades and just jumping between the colors; I choose and the intermittent colors programmed to "fade" to. Increasing speed only increases jumping effect.

The thermometer/hydrometer works well. I have one in both my snake enclosures, as well as one in my bearded dragon enclosure, and on the chinchilla cage. For the last few months, though, I haven't been able to get the app to update the devices. Occasionally it will update on the device home page, but the graph pages haven't updated since June. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app; No change. This seems to be a very common problem.

This rating is for the app, not the lights. For the most part, the app works as expected. However, I've run into a bug that is really annoying. If the device can't find the wireless network, it will go into a cycle where it will have you "confirm" that you are using an old version of the app (choosing to cancel will dismiss the dialog without being able to interact with anything) - after you confirm, it will take you to play store, where you can't update the up-to-date app. Needs an override.

Coming from hue I'll give it a solid 3 out of 5. For me I can't use groups. More specifically same model groups. One will connect the other won't. Reset it re add it then the problem just moves to the other light instead. I've done this 4 times, it'll work for the first time you set it up but when you leave and come back to it some time later it refuses to connect both lights to Bluetooth. Need a way to slow down scenes, 99% of them are just way to fast. But connections need to be fixed!

Unreliable POS! Even after a refresh of info from the hydrometer, the graph shows a totally different number than the one on the main page. Makes the whole thing useless because how do you k now if either or which one could be right. Also the whole reason I got it was for the alarm if things go out of range, and often the alarm won't go off until after I open the app only to find out that it should have gone off sometimes 20 or 30 minutes earlier. Avoid the hardware and software from this

Pretty great app overall, but 2 issues for me. 1 is that I can't get it to sync data in the background. I have to open the app and manually refresh the sync. Gets annoying. The other minor issue is the shake of the y axis on my thermometer graphs. It only auto scales. I would love to be able to keep the axes at fixed values of my choice to better see trends over time

Great app, I like the arrange of available colors and patterns. It is very response and the lights really brighten up the inside of my car at night. In future updates I'd like to see more patterns to the existing (cool) ones or the ability to create or modify patterns. Also a brief description of what a pattern does instead of selecting it and then waiting to see how the lights change. Lastly, allow multiple colors for the music setting. Overall, this is a great app, great job Govee.

It is really nice to have this app to control some of the functionality of the light strips. I am someone who is bad at losing remotes and the small remote is often hard for me to find. So this app is great to be able to adjust the lighting colors and brightness, timer and some "themes". I think there is more you can do with it using the remote, or I just don't know exactly how to use everything, but it's a good app for easy to understand, simple controls.

4 stars for now. Good app but missing some very important features. Speed of the lights NEEDS to be added. There are many schemes that would be awesome is we can change their speed. Most people can't have the lights blinking so fast, so the options are limited by not being able to set the speed. Please, please, please allow us to be able to change the speed of the changing colors/schemes. This is a very important feature this app needs badly. Other than that, pretty nice and clean app.

Overall the app is good. Makes it easy to control both Bluetooth and wifi lights. You can quickly connect to support, research other products they offer, and get promotional offers as well. One drawback is the app does not describe what each function does or link to a video to show you. You can create your own effects and save them.

Mostly great! And let's be honest, that's the best anything gets these days. There was a strange bug that I reported (specific to the settings of one device), they replied that it would be fixed in the next update. It actually took 3 updates, but they did figure it out and get it fixed! Aside from that, the app is great and easy to use. I wish there were more widget options (rather than just turning something off/on, maybe also have high/med/low/custom settings), but no complaints otherwise!

I like the app, it's very quick and functional. The only thing I hope for in the future is that maybe the built-in modes like for emotion, weather, lightning etc that you could lower the speed setting on them. I know that you can do that by creating your own DY for them but the built-in modes are excellent. I just wish that I could change the speed on them because they're already preset. That way you don't have to recreate the exact same one and save it.

The lights work great, but the will not connect via Bluetooth to the app. If it does connect, while it's rare, I have to have my phone right up against the receiver. It will connect probably 1/20 times trying to connect. That is ridiculous, it should not be that bad. I'm quite disappointed as I spent a large amount of money on these lights to decorate the house. The app, from what I noticed, seems to have great potential, just horrible connection with the lights.

The features that already come with the app are amazing and work well. The majority of the problems are because I can't sync my three lights together. I have to individually pick feature for each one for them to work together. Other than the pre-programed features it is nearly impossible to figure out how to add a timer or make your own designs. The app is very confusing. If the lights weren't amazing along with the pre-programed light effects I would have gotten rid of everything due to app.
