I was doing something time sensitive and failed because Astro decided to give me some disable hibernation prompt that didn't go away for 10 seconds, even while tapping the "maybe later" option.

It wants to track and report the sites you visit, and which apps you use—which seems unnecessary and somewhat creepy (though you can keep declining each time you use it). It also apparently wants to do its own updates, bypassing the Play Store (it doesn't even appear on my "installed apps" list here). I'm not sure exactly what these folks have in mind, but it seems to be more than just letting you manage your files. :?O

I recently moved photos from one folder to another, they all went to zero bytes, thankfully I had them backed up, but this is unacceptable. I have been using this program for years, but now, besides losing files which it did twice, it's also crashing when I try to add photos to social media posts I don't know if this is because of my phone, running Android 7, or if something has gone drastically wrong with the app but I have had to uninstall it. I hope you can fix this.

I'm just updating my description of this app, for many years I've used this app with no problem it was an excellent app but now I reinstalled it onto my phone and I cannot get past the consent for information button, I push the button and nothing happens, I can't get past that screen

I like interface, but it is not showing contend Android/data folder despite other apps can do that (Android 13 & system file explorer app disabled) and I dont like collecting data, but how much can I opt out I wonder, this app selling data how to make you more addicted and more impulsive so I dont like that

Love it! Simple. Intuitive. Operates as advertised. What more can you ask? Revised: I went from 5 stars to 4 because the app can be sorta twitchy trying to get it started. Frequently crashes 2 or 3 times before actually opening. Once it's open, it still works great.

Very well build but... The only thing that I ask for is the option to move files to a usb drive. This app does not have this option unlike other apps. If this option is available, it'll be perfect perfect for daily file manager app

Backups never work anymore which is frustrating but meh... !!BIGGEST!! thing now.... Almost nothing is able to be opened without having to setup a default app for it if it has an extension...(FYI everything does, lol). "No application found for this file type." . PDF, .crt, .img, .Apk, .mp4 the list is just from one quick glance at my downloads folder. I have already assigned programs and it just reverts. Sigh...

Great app! It displays folder sizes by default, and this is why I chose it. I would like to disable the automatic cleanup of the trash folder,though. They also need to get their hidden file and folder view working. Some isdues encountered: 1 - Some video thumbnails do not appear. 2- Does not remember when an app is selected for opening files that are not associated with a specific app. An example is opus sound files. 3- Show hidden files" setting does not show all hidden files. Great app...

I've been using this app for years and always thought it was close to perfect. But in the last several months, it's been so slow to show the contents of my SD card that it's useless. Sadly, I can't even use the app anymore and have gone to MiX Explorer because it's pretty good and actually works. I sent an email to the new developer team and nothings been fixed and I didn't get a reply. Nice job destroying a good app.

This app helps me to find all of my documents, mp3 files etc. whether they are stored in the phone's internal storage or on the SD card. Sometimes I can't find documents and other files by searching them from the tools on my phone. You can rename files and move them around with this app. I highly recommend it!

I loved this app until they started changing it to used more permissions. Usage access is too high of a privilege for a file manager, especially when the app wont load without it. Also, it has network access and takes forever to load if network connectivity is poor. I have the pay version and am supremely disappointed that these changes were crammed down my throat without any option. I paid for a file manager and now its hijacking my device to do things I dont want!

Spent about two minutes on this so I can neither give a fair good/bad review, but all I know is that when I selected a folder then pressed Share --> Save to Drive, it did absolutely nothing. Neither did selecting files from Drive while using this app to select said folder. Interface felt good and smooth though.

Astro is a bit like the "Missing Manual" books in that it should be included from there start. I've always assumed data management systems (PC's, tablets, phones, etc.) would include a robust, user accesible and user friendly file managment application. That's just a no-brainer, to me. Without one you're really just an interested observer, and it feels kind of like riding in a car with no steering wheel. Call me an old-school geek if you want, but yes, I'd like a steering wheel, please!

Decided to uninstall the app due to the new permissions, where the app can "read, modify, and delete all files on this phone and any connected storage devices". And if I grant access, "this app may access files that aren't related to the app without notifying you". Yea, nah I'm not comfortable with approving sooo, it's been a great time, bye.

This was my go-to file manager for many years. After an update over a month or two ago, I'm unable to connect to my Dropbox and it freezes up from time to time. I really like how I can pick how to organize each folder unlike others has only one setting for all folders. Please fix!
Wandering Calamity
Barely functional and constantly glitchy. Won't display up-to-date contents of download folder. Refreshing does nothing. Selecting "no filtering" generates duplicate entries while still not displaying current contents. Have to repeatedly go back into the folder and hope it finally displays correctly. Even when it does, stuff randomly disappears that you can set fine in other file managers. Utterly unimpressed. Uninstalling.
