Terrible installation. I bought it because WHICH ranks it as providing the best protection. It is cumbersome, I had to delete it and start again several times, and I am a skilled user. Do NOT buy it. I have spent 3 hours in the installation of this product along with Avast Premium Security

Outstanding,easy use,only noticeable negative aspect is :- once a VPN is secured there is no guidelines how to proceed. Through trial I realised leave app without losing web connection and load a browser! DOH! This vital piece of information should be highlighted before leaving Avast and loading users chosen browser. I don't know why, but my always on VPN every once in a while desides to be disconnected. That clearly is a bug. I Since I still had a month left when I renewed. The rep said they could authorize an additional 2 months on my subscription, and guess what? I never got to 2 months.

Recently, this app has been malfunctioning, disconnects every 1 min, and it can not keep a continuous connection ! tried everything to try to solve the problem, but nothing worked ! recent reviews also stated this annoying problem ! UPDATE: THE PROBLEM IS FIXED NOW, THANK YOU AVAST FOR THE PROMPT FIX.

Not really good as you suggest. It interrupts the system and doesn't really protect you from being invisible or from infection of viruses. My laptop had many avast apps but they failed to warn me from viruses and as a result my laptop could not even start initiating logging in. Nothing would be done to repair it. I also cancelled subscription with Avast due to the situation with your ineffective protection of my laptop.

This app is ok. Purchased the Ultimate subscription for the VPN protection but it constantly shows that the VPN is turned on even when it's not. I also don't like that a lot of sites or apps run slow or don't work at all while the VPN is connected. Other than that, app works great.

Not reliable for grownup's businesses because some times it just stops working for a few days, leaving you off the grid until the issue gets sorted out. To be fair, I have been a user for a quite a few years and a blackout happened once this month and once last month for different reasons. Not acceptable. If you don't have anything important going on, like you use the internet just for music and videogames, then OK. Otherwise, you would much rather choose a more expensive vpn that won't fail you

(7/23) Works great...when it works. It's constantly disconnecting - whether on wifi or data - and must be manually reconnected...until it does it again! Oftentimes within SECONDS as I sit there watching it!!!. (9/6/23) UPDATE TO AVAST: DON'T tell me that when I'm NOT changing my connection from data to wifi back to data EVERY FEW SECONDS. Blame the APP, NOT the user! Tell me how to DEFEAT it, not what CAUSES it.

love it... it does what it says it does perfectly. Thanks developers. Changing rating... the app kills all internet usage when connected. The new "Kill switch" option is apparently initiating without the user ever turning it on. The app is useless now being that the user must disconnect to have mobile data. Please fix for your paying customers.

I purchased the Avast Ultimate Bundle which supposedly includes SecureLine VPN on 10 devices, but when I use the mobile app, annoying ads for games keep poping up, & there's no way to stop the ads. I've already paid for the apps, & the Avast mobile apps also trys to charge me again. I'd so rather watch a progress bar, than have a loud obnoxious add that won't let me skip or cancel out of. Please change that for paid users! Thank you!

Very secure!!! I have not been hacked in the years that I've used Avast products. I suggest everyone get the 5-in-1 package. It provides security for up to 10 devices. Also, the customer service is excellent. They were quick to respond and expedite any challenges. I've had them over 10 years and they only get better each year. Save some money and purchase the multi-device option! You won't regret it.

Avast's VPN SecureLine is a great product. I have used it for four years now and with each update the app gets better and is deserving of 5 stars. I had a subscription renewal problem with my account and contacted their customer service through email, but kept receiving auto-response emails, asking for the same documentation that I have sent to them numerous times. I decided to leave a review of their product, stating my situation and the lack of help that I received from their customer service, which prompted a quick and courteous response from one of their reps. Although the rep was unable to help me out, the problem ended up fixing itself in the end, and I am happy with the result. Avast's VPN SecureLine works very well and I would recommend the app to anyone looking for a reliable VPN for computers or mobile devices. Just know that if you experience any problems requiring customer service, you may not receive the best and immediate response that you are seeking. Instead, leave a review of their app with a description of the problem and you'll receive a quick reply from a helpful rep.

I hate this browser so much like other Avast products. Suppose to be free and after trying to use it for like 2 weeks, I am uninstalling it for good. It works for one day then will not allow you to connect with websites. I have uninstalled and reinstalled so many times I have lost count. Just not worth the effort. Will not allow you to sync desktop to phone without upgrading. Every single service you have to pay for. Why not have everything in one package along with a payment? You are greedy.

Though it connects quickly, and is generally easy to navigate, the secureline keeps popping up and trying to connect, or even automatically connecting. I made sure the app settings were not to auto connect and still had this problem. At first it just gave me a notification whenever I went online asking if I wanted to use the secureline, after I changed my settings that stopped. However, then it started just connecting automatically even when I had no apps open and wasn't using any internet.

I just subscribed to the 5 device 1 year plan and was able to install the app on my fire tv using a workaround, but for some reason, when I launch the app, it just loads then kicks me out. I wish it worked better for fire tv as it will be very useful when watching on streaming apps. Tested on my phone. Doesn't work with any streaming apps except from blocking Hulu functionality.

Noticed randomly disconnects at times. Don't like having to use the kill switch all the time. I played with the settings some more so let's hope this works. Price isn't too bad for 1 year subscription. Wouldn't mind a little discount after using their software for a few years now but hey, everyone has to make a buck. Overall pretty decent product. I still need to test out the VPN+ AD Block app as well. (Avast Secure Browser and Avast One). I will review the others too

Works great! Only glitch is when you try and disconnect from the pull down menu of running apps and it will disconnect for a couple seconds then reconnect. You have to open the VPN app and then disconnect from there for it to stay closed. 2-8-2020 Just paid to renew my subscription which includes VPN. I've used Avast VPN about 3 years. Still has the disconnect issue I stated above but other than that I'm completely satisfied. Money well spent for much needed security and privacy.

Normally I love Avast products, but installing this has been a disaster. I downloaded it on my laptop first, all went well at first. Problem is to many websites I use won't allow access with VPN so it's sort of a waste. I installed it on my Android device and it made me set up fingerprint security on my phone. Wasn't thrilled but it went okay. Problem was that it apparently also setup some "default password"?? without my knowledge. I didn't discover this until I turned my phone off and when I turned it back on expecting to use my fingerprint access, I had a notification that after being turned off my phone required my password. Well because I didn't set it up,I have no clue what it is. I don't want to have to hard reset my phone but nothing else is working.
