Works perfectly. Does not slow down phone or drain the battery. You'll never even know that it is working until you actually try to download some malware then suddenly it comes to life warning you not to do it. It's constantly scanning your phone in the background and you never even realize it unless it finds something. It's completely free and one of the few high-quality antivirus apps that has automatic scanning on the free version. Bitdefender usually ranks as the best antivirus on the market

It's an actually free antivirus for Android. It's a great app and more security apps should be made available for free or for a few dollars a month. Elderly people are being scammed constantly and their are so many people who can design and make apps to help prevent. We all need to try to help with this rise in scams and phishing.

I've downloaded Bitdefender Antivirus for a while, and I must say that Bitdefender Antivirus is the best of all Antivirus app I've used. it's simple and easy to use, and it scans for malicious applications and viruses automatically, and I especially love the "auto-generated" pilot features, which will warns you of malicious apps before you download apps from store. this application deserves 10 star which I highly recommended to anyone who wana an excellent antivivirus to safeguard your devices.

I have been researching device protection because I dable in Crypto and want to make sure I'm safe. So far no problems and it doesn't seem to slow my phone down and I like that it checks all the apps. I just don't know if the free version is enough, but have heard nothing but good reviews!

I thought all my devices were being repair until I found But defender. The app came end and solved the problem on my tablets. My son loves his games and infected all our devices except our phones. Thanks to the phenomenal job this app has done I would and have recommended it. I have only had it about 10 days. I can only imagine what the VPN would.

There is this stupid icon on my phone screen. It is Bitdefender trying to run in the background and failing. Also, when I pull down the top and expose the message center. The Bitdefender is also visible there as well. I find these very annoying and wish they weren't there.

I got this because I kept getting emails about malware complaints in my inbox. But everytime I did a scan it would say I had tons of malware and the only way to fix it is to pay malwarebits money every month. Bit defender says I have no malware so there is a bit of a discrepancy there.

I would give the app a higher rating depending on your answer: Does Bitdefender mobile scan files both internal and external? Whenever I scan, it seemed like it only scanned the apps. I want to know if my files are safe too. All files from downloads, DCIM and even custom folders. So tell me, does Bitdefender scan and detect the files if they are infected?

Have been using this app for over 3 years and it has somehow managed to improve in time like a good wine. Don't know how they manage that. Simple to use, low impact on my old Moto E6s phone and the auto virus checker for free, for me, makes Bitdefender free an absolute must have. Highly recommended!!!

Every time when it scanned the newly installed apps it shows a pop-up on the screen that I can't swipe anywhere I can't turn this function off, really annoying, especially during video calls or when I text. Not worth to keep this on the device. uninstall.

4 stars as below issue appears to have been corrected. Of course we'd know for sure if your what's new gave specific fixes and changes for updates...... Previous post... CAUTION... There's a big trust issue when the Send Reports setting is enabled following an update, when it was set to disabled prior to the update. Sneaky, but still a good free antivirus

In settings I've set the storage scan option to on. Supposedly it's to do a scan on all files and apps in internal or external storage (SD Card). As the scan is taking place, the active display shows apps being scanned along with some files with the .apk extension and that's about it. Other files such as imported media, jpeg, docs, etc in internal storage and on sd card apparently aren't scanned cause not seen in the display. Is scan only done on internal storage & just for apps (com.xxx, .apk)?

Bitdefender works well as an anti-virus. It has good reviews from people who know far more than I about viruses. I would suggest you scan your phone at least once a week. There's no way to schedule a scan in the free version. It does scan apps as you download them, though. I think it's pretty good for free. It also doesn't seem to show down my phone.

Just downloaded but previously did my research. There are so many antivirus apps that do so much unnecessary functions.... drains battery, performance etc. Antivirus for most part not needed on android devices bc its main purpose is to scan for malicious programs inside installed apps which play protect already does periodically. Androids architecture makes it its hard to attack the OS. So using basically as "backup". This is lightweight on performance and minimal ads. Perfect for my purposes.

This is an okay antivirus that scans very quickly. It's not as advanced as other antivirus as you can only scan files and apps that's it. But it continuously scans new apps and files in the background and it's the lightest antivirus on Android so it's pretty good on older phones. However it's too simple, I wish you can change some settings please add that. Overall it's a great antivirus perfect alternative to Avast by a trustworthy major security company. Highly recommend!

It did a scan, and stayed on with a constant notification showing,; that drives me crazy. There's no manual update that I could see and I like to be able to click update so I know it did, and if it didn't I just did. Too basic: no proof it's easier doing anything other than just sitting there saying it scanned. I need more interaction... or proof of what's it's doing and when it did it.

A full day of it working in the background and nothing to complain about. Have used several apps like this but this one is the best, in my opinion. It installed rapidly, allowed me to start the scan and gave me the results. Great app and sooo so easy to use which I like. It has not taken over my system and that is another nice aspect of using it. I set permission to give me notifications and when it went into a scan, voila!, it notified me. Excellent app and does a good job.
