The lack of any indication that "update database" is working is frustrating every time I click the button. So is how the target links at the top of the same screen stopped working a while back. I'm also never sure if Malwarebytes is any good at security. It takes up so much disk space that I sure hope it's worthwhile. Would like more than hope, though.

I downloaded some photo editing apps. Right after, my phone screen froze and then stopped working properly... I couldn't do anything! After an hour of going online and trying several different things to get back on my phone, I immediately ran Malwarebytes for a virus scan. Sure enough, one of the photo editing apps had a trojan attached to it. Malwarebytes found it, removed it from my phone and uninstalled the malware app. I would be lost without Malwarebytes and recommend it to everyone I know!

I've been a subscriber to Malwarebytes for years and was always satisfied. Today, I've tried multiple times to re-subscribe to the premium mobile antivirus and kept getting an error message saying something was wrong on their end. When I contacted support, I received a generic "clear cache, data, uninstall and reinstall" that I had already done. It really should not be this hard to pay money to you guys, just to subscribe for premium. You guys really dropped the ball on this one.

The app refuses to update the database, even though wifi. I tapped the update button multiple times, but it does nothing. I checked the settings. It says auto update over WiFi. I connect to WiFi and it does nothing. Tells me it's out of date, yet doesn't auto update. Also with WiFi only, tap the button and nothing. It's a waist of space on your phone, it does nothing.

Updating with more stars. Was finally able to get the premium version through the app for the price offered. No more error messages. Everything works as intended so far but I think it should have more features considering others offer this same protection, as well as extras for about the same price you pay here for the basic protections. One other issue is the time scans take. Sometimes a full scan is less than a minute, other times it takes up to a half hour.

This is mostly great, and the Pro version gives me extra protection that's important. But it drives me crazy when it's checking for malware! Anotification that is doing this keeps popping down from the top of the screen every two seconds or so, and for a long time. This seriously just dropped a video when I'm watching one, and it totally blocks things I used to do at the top of the screen in other apps. There's no good reason for this. I'd like to be told once, but that would be enough!

I have been using Malwarebytes for more than a decade and I'm very impressed, especially in recent years, how it has evolved to handle more than just spyware and basic malware. I have noticed that it has caught things that other engines have not. It has a highly versatile and easy to understand UI which adds value to your scan preferences. I want to buy the full version but I currently have a paid McAfee subscription. I wonder if the two would interfere with one another? Any insights??

I was having an issue with ads popping up on my phone at all times randomly. it had nothing to do with the browser or websites. The ads would pop up on the home screen, apps screen, while I'm gaming or watching videos. What ever it was would also make my navigation bar pop up and light up. this app took care of it quickly. It scanned over 350 apps and finally Boom! The ads are gone. this app works very well and does what it says it does. I've tried 2 apps before this and got bupkis on the problem
Digital Tutorials
Probably does what it says it does, but with no problems found, how do I know? Needs a test procedure. I gave it low stars because it needs a lot of work. 1) Super slow menu responsiveness. When I load it up, it takes a while before critical issues shows up with the fix button. Database update slow, no loading bar. 2) Needs to let us know when we can safely minimize the app while scanning.

I've used Malwarebytes for at least 6 years and will continue to do so. They are by far the best. The only thing, I just renewed my premium version thinking it would include the Call protection and phishing links in text messages only to find out those features are no longer available. I paid for those features only to not get those, as when I paid for the premium version those features where still there and being touted as part of the $11.99 for the year. I'm am extremely irritated with Google messing with things that doesn't concern them, especially when it comes to the security of my device. I wish there was something we could do to make Google reverse their decision. I docked a star due to two of the features I paid for no longer being there.

I've used the PC version for over 10 years, no complaints. This one is getting mixed reviews, a lot of which center on ads with trial premium version (a common complaint when using the PC version, too). I bypassed that problem on this android version during installation by choosing "Skip" at top right when the choice came up for free trial or buy now. All I wanted was the free version, and it's ad-free and scans quickly. I'd love to have the premium version but for now I am happy with this.

I hate to have to give this program a poor rating after many years of using it on desktop, but it is a poor application. Intrusive, sends lots of data about your device and files back to their servers. Constantly blasts my phone with notifications. It doesn't want to scan properly: it runs but never finishes, then blasts me with offers about other products and services it wants me to buy. I'm definitely taking a second look at their desktop product, as well. May be time to move on. Unfortunately

As a tech savvy individual I dont really like "security" software, as a human in conjunction with safe usage and built in security usually is much more efficient. After downloading some sketchy modified apps however, I had a pop-up problem. I went through and cleaned a bunch of stuff up, but couldnt find the root. I decided to give this a try and it found the culprit (mobidash) very quickly and I was able to remove it. I'm uninstalling but I will definitely be coming back here. Great work

Works great, but trial is ending and when I go to pay for the upgrade I get an error saying "something went wrong on our end" and it brings me to the play store. Not too great if I can't buy your product. Update: had to uninstall and reinstall in order to purchase the premium account. Never heard from their support although I emailed them to the email the developer mentioned and the one listed on google play. So up to 4 stars.

I like the app because it's easy to use, but I have a real issue with getting the "buttons" to work when it comes to using the "update database" button, and the "fix all issues" button. I don't know if the app just lags horribly or what, but those two buttons never seem to work at all. Kind of hard to keep my phone feeling secure if it's basically impossible to have an updated malware library.

The scheduling function of this app doesn't seem to work correctly... The idea is to let this app work in the background for you. Randomly opened it and says no database or scam has been updated in over 2 weeks. I have it set for auto-scan every Tues and Sat at 3am. updating to newest version now to see if it's been corrected... Will change eating accordingly. UPDATE: (next day); FIX IT button doesn't work; and the app cannot run scans in background; you must haves the app on-screen. Yikes.

This app is a total joke, riding the waves of notoriety from a good pc program. Upon doing my first, second and third scans, I consistently had 8-10 security issues. - Upon checking the issues, every single one was a malwarebytes security setting or add-on recommendation (for the premium fee of course) maybe this app would be good if your phone was absolutely riddled with viruses, maybe you'd be able to view and remove them, but I have yet to see any results on my end that are worth the price.

I won't own a phone, tablet or computer without having Malwarebytes installed. It's the greatest! I noticed others saying when they hit the update key it doesn't update. I thought that too, but remember it's going through the updating in the background. Just put your phone down and leave it alone, don't back out of the app, when you come back you'll find it all working as designed. If you aren't sure it's scanning, use the pull down at the top of your screen and it'll show you what's going on.
