Sort of works but has really glaring, idiotic deficiencies. For example, after importing data from another manager, it doesn't know about any linked apps. Fine, understandable. BUT searching for plausible credentials NEVER EVER finds the entry of EXACTLY THE SAME NAME. I always have to manually type in the name that 1password already has to find anything. Also it's impossible to manually link an app to a credential. There's simply no way to do it. And half the time it fails to even come up.

Used to love this app, but now it's just a bit of a hassle. The convenience isn't there anymore. Websites and apps that used to work no longer do. The most annoying thing I've run into is that when I need to unlock 1password (which is constantly despite having the 8hr option checked), I can no longer do it within the app or website I'm trying to fill. I need to exit out, go to 1password, unlock it, close it and then go back to webpage/app to try to fill again. It also doesn't prompt new accounts

Short review after 15 minutes with this new version (will update). Finally added a "close after X minutes" feature (instead of immediately). This is super convenient when you are copy pasting several fields and switching between 1password and another app back a nd forth. No longer need to unlock every time. It uses the same icon as v7, so if you have both it will be confusing. The home screen can be customized, it no longer shows all the items alphabetically.

Major regression from 1Password 7 to 8. On Android, unlock by PIN is missing as is long press to copy a field. I do not want to use biometric unlock and having to type my long password every time is a major pain. I used these 2 features every day and they have been in the app for several versions until 8. I also miss the old list view and do not find the new home screen to be very user friendly. Looks pretty but a major functional step backwards.

Been a 1password user for years. Just downloaded 1password 8 for Android, it worked for about 3 minutes and now it literally crashes when I try to open it. Thank God I have other devices. Really disappointed this is the type of product coming out of an otherwise reputable company. 1password 7 was stable (though it gives me a nondescript "sync failed" error all the time on Android too). Perhaps skip the upgrade till they sort out the bugs.

One feature that I loved in the previous version of the app was that I could use a pin code instead of a full password to access the autofill data (usernames and passwords) for websites. I'm not a fan of biometrics for logins, I'd prefer to use a short pin code rather than typing a longer secure password to access that data for single use autofill. Thanks, the rest of the app upgrades are great!

Been using for years, the most recent update feels like a step back in terms of giving the user the option for auto fillig fields. It isn't at easy to use on Android but still works. The auto fill option in browser sparingly populates and works as expected. I find myself having to actually click the auto fill button the browser plugin itself. The app ui got a nice face lift but wasn't needed in my opinion. Overall, still works but feels like an unfinished product.

A work in progress. The old version had the vaults readily searchable. For anyone having trouble create a collection, this helped search a few vaults instead of all of them. Just click search (magnifying glass), select top right icon/picture, click manage collections, then create collection with specific vaults selected. The auto fill for the passwords is a hit or miss. I still have the old app version 7 which works so much better than version 8.

Re-rating from 1 star to 4. Once up and running, this is arguably a 5-star product, but minus 1 star for unnecessarily difficult installation issues, for slow customer support, and for a couple minor but annoying usability issues. Big piece of advice: use the desktop app, or the browser extension or the phone app. But stay away from the web app, which lacks full functionality and does not work correctly if you try to follow directions for using the product. They should tell you this up front.

Was great while it lasted, but UX went downhill on Android in the last couple of months, probably after I updated the app. I manually copy/paste the username/passwords in 90% of times now. Everyone here knows how to turn on the autofill (that's what you do on your day 1 of using this app), literally everyone in the last months has been complaining about the same thing here and your solution is "write an email" instead of actually fixing the issue.

I love 1Password and have been using it for years. However the most recent update has resulted in the app lagging significantly when logging into websites on Android. As others have observed, sometimes the 1Password auto fill prompt appears, but only after a minute or so. Sometimes it never appears. In previous versions, the prompt appeared almost immediately upon visiting a website for which I have a password stored. Please fix this lag!

Same as others have described here. Came because of the security issues with LastPass (after many years of use) and can't get auto-fill to work no matter what I do. The app is otherwise pretty good, but that's core functionality. Running Android 14 on an S22+. EDIT: The auto-fill toggle was ON by default when I first installed the app (despite being told it would be off). But I turned it off, restarted the phone, then turned it back on, and THEN it started working. Still glitchy but usable.

The biometric login doesn't work even after disabling and enabling it multiple times in settings. It says I need to login with my password in order to use it, but password is all I can use. Autofill doesn't show up where it should be, I've triple checked all the settings and they are correct. The old app was working great, probably just need to keep it on that.
Scott Lilien
Nowhere close to Lastpass in my opinion. I tried to log in using my security code, but it did not work. I tried with and without dashes as s it still would not log-in. I got so frustrated that I was unable to cancel my subscription within the app itself,so I had to end up canceling and disabling the account. I never had a problem remotely close to on Lastpass. I'm willing to $12.00 more a year to have a password manager that is much better developed and user friendly.

First, I actually enjoy the experience. I feel secure. But it doesn't quite feel... done yet. You always get this lingering feeling that it's still in beta. Finding things is sometimes painful, there's poor synergy among the various avenues, no continuity of design, it doesn't feel intuitive and at times can feel clunky. But, I'm still here. Been a user since the early days when it was Mac only. Took a break to try LastPass, then Bitwarden; but always come back.
Brendan Warkentin
I'm trying to hold out hope v8 will improve, but since I first installed, autofill has only worked as expected a minority of the time. Also, my selected auto-lock interval doesn't seem like it's being respected. I've switched back to v7 with the accessibility integration, for now, which continues to work excellently. Any plans to add an accessibility integration to v8?
Michael Weyand
The features in the old app, while visually dated, were organized and setup in a useful way. This new app has some useful features, the UI is fast, and clean...but features are buried. Search just feels difficult. Search is supposed to make it easier to find things, not more difficult. The new app feels like it was done by a development team without UI/UX experts or a proper product owner to verify features. The web & desktop apps are great. This mobile app, not so much.
Mary LaMarca
I've been using this app for years. It works well with IOS iPad and MacBook, but not with Android OS smartphones. It doesn't detect auto fill at all; I have to leave the site. I'm on, go to the 1Password app, and copy the password to the clipboard. It's really frustrating and definitely needs improvement. Other, I really like the app.
