Description of Mail.ru - Email App

Official mail application Mail.ru. Convenient Mail for smartphone Android.

Simple and fast application for simultaneous work with several Mail.ru, Yandex, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and other mailboxes. Receive and send messages, share photos and documents. Get instantly notified about new messages. Adjust the time, folders and services for which you want to receive push-notifications. Personal spam filter will protect you from annoying mailings. Stay always in touch with the Mail.ru app!

- Multiple accounts support. Add all of your boxes and switch between them easily. Now, move between work and private email is as simple as between folders within a single mailbox.

- Full synchronization. It does not matter whether you read, flagged, or moved messages from a computer or mobile. All changes will be saved on the server and synchronized between devices.

- Protected folder. Mail.ru app enables you to store information and protect it. Create a folder with a password in the web interface. It will be visible in the application and accessible only after you enter the password.

- Filters. View unread email, flagged email or emails with attachments

- Search the entire mailbox. Use our search engine to quickly find any email.

- Push-notifications for new emails. You will be notified about new message almost instantly if your Android device is connected to the network.

- Filtering notifications. Set a time to receive notification, select services, folders or create a personal filter to receive only those alerts that are important!

- Caching emails. Emails are stored in the phone's memory and are available without a network connection. Read messages and view attachments in transport or, for example, in the countryside.

- Personal spam filter. Do you get messages from services that you didn't sign up for or can't unsubscribe from? Tap Spam and all subsequent letters from the sender will automatically be sent to the appropriate folder. Read only the important messages for you.

- Avatars. It's easier and more convenient to navigate through applications with photos of recipients.

- Email Threads. View your entire email conversation on one screen, just as you did on the web version.

Overall perfect app, for me. English mail reader would be great though (the app has an option to have emails read out by a human voice, but it reads in a Russian language. I wish it could read out emails in English)

Great app for managing emails, loads of customisations and options. Would like the searching algorithm inside the inbox to be improved as it returns many irrelevant search results. Minus one star for that. Those complaining about ads try to use another great Russian app for blocking ads called Adguard which eliminates ads completely without root access. By the way, the competitors like Outlook mail also uses ads for revenue.

In the older versions, you have a dropdown list of all the subscribed accounts for quick identification & choosing. Now, I have to choose each icon before I can identify if it's the account that I want to use, which is very cumbersome.

Nice app. It helps if you understand Russian, but it's secure, and for me the plus is, you can send very large files, but Google likes to treat large files sent using this app as suspicious. Even though the recipient says not. Still a good email client, fast and secure, with much, much more if you understand Russian, sadly no English available. The email is great, I was wishing the browser had the option for English.

Used to be a good app, now it inserts (mostly Russian) ads throughout your emails. No support, except in Russian. Don't download. Update: Received a reply (translated Russian) from the developer stating they are trying to show only relevant ads (in Russian, I am in the USA and speak English). I revised my star rating from 1 to 3. The app is now AVERAGE at best, it was better...may be better in the future again if they bring back the 'original'.

Ads, ads and more ads. Ads every 2 emails in the folders. No matter what, there are prolific, usually facebook, ads. You can delete emails and they are back before you can even scroll past the ever present Facebook ad. Used to be great app but now it's not something I want to continue using or recommending.

So far it's the simple, made with common sense app that I am always looking for. It highlights the convenience of organizing the most obvious emails in long defined catagories yet with the ability to add some folders of personal interest. It's a good app for me and those like me will recognize it as well. Thanks very much!

Outstanding email app with perfect push notifications of email as soon as you receive in your inbox without the help of auto-sync option. Which is a good battery saving technique. Good blocking feature allows you to keep your inbox clean and neat. Nice UI. Overall quality and standard of the app is excellent.

The application was good. However, the last releases don't work properly. Two accounts are connected to the application. But notifications don't work for both accounts. Some times all notifications don't work. It is very bad.

While this app 'works' to some degree; it also smells like a scam. Some of the screenshots depicting this app are fake; and it's painfully obvious that the accompanying text has simply been copied & pasted from other similar apps. The settings on this app make no sense at all – they're neither intuitive nor user-friendly, and half of the app is in Russian. Even if you email the developer, he only replies in Russian!

Amongst the best for the last 3 years. Now, it's clearly targeting primarily and only Russian speaking markets. No way to get rid of useless options like Russian fines, assistant, covid stats, no manual server settings, no HTML signature. Time to change.

I use it to browse/watch emails from dovecot imap server (installed on raspberry pi), which are coming from cheap cameras as alarm emails (with some pictures). Daily some hundred emails. This is the best/one of the two usable apps, all others have major issues in this simple task. Views are fairly customizable, set up account server/auth/security is acceptable, accepts strange ports, dns names. Yes, preview pane in the folder view doesn't exist, but it was only in secret dreams - in exchange, rendering preview in mail view attached pictures is flawless -> if i open the mail, renders pictures in 1-2 seconds automatically. Positive: easy to switch off advertisings and the folder/mail list view is simple enough browsing in hundreds journal-like mails.

It seems like the app hasn't much since last time I tested it. In the mobile version if you want to register without a phone number you are given the option to use captcha but it never works now, always the same field input error. The license agreement is only in Russian so not friendly to international users. Otherwise it has good features but not as good as it was before.

unlike my yahoo mail app i can sign into my yahoo account. i added 5 emails to this and it allows me to have one app instead of 3. UI isn't my favorite but it does the job. Some menus are in Russian but it's few and far between. I would like to see a delete everything button for emails in my inbox. One of my junk email accounts has over 3k emails deleting everything would take hours the way it's set up now. Still testing this app but so far so good.

I like this mail app really so much. because it supports signing in of Korean email services too. (Perhaps many more). Clean and beautiful interface. I love it so much. Only problem I have is that the links in the mail app do not open in browser (maybe they open in Chrome but I don't use Chrome, I hate it.) Please enable the mail app to identify other browsers too. I use Yandex browser. If you have your own browser app, I'd use it too. But not Chrome. Please help.

Almost perfect! I loved the design and UI of the app itself, and it has added value such as subscriptions. One feedback on the app itself is that although 90% of the app is in english, deep down in the settings there are some functions that is only shown in Russian.

The only thing by now I didn't like was that if you've been writing a message and went to another app or simply switched (sometimes this even happens accidentally) to the main screen your message will not be saved in any form, not even a draft. If that could be fixed it'd be great!

This app has the potential to be the best email app but there's one crucial thing that's missing: There's no all inbox view. I have 2 email addresses. One is my business email and the other is my personel email. I want to see the emails of the two accounts all together in a single screen. I don't want to switch between two accounts every time to see my mails. Without this feature I can't use the app, and therefore giving it 3 stars. Please add this important feature.
