Ever since the update a week ago-ish, it won't stop being slow. My phone has to force-stop the app because of how unresponsive it is. I can be at home with perfect wifi internet connection, and when I click a song, it won't play. It will just freeze up, and the whole thing will crash. Haven't been able to listen to music since they "updated" it. Also, every time I go into the app a box will pop up saying "downloading music"!! I will probably end the subscription if not fixed soon.

Keeps getting worse! I pay monthly for this app... going to cancel. Each update it gets worse! They've made it harder to add songs to your music and Playlists. Hitting the back button takes you to the beginning of your music list each time and you have to scroll all the way down it's so annoying!! Every song skips a few seconds in the beginning. All my downloaded offline music has disappeared completely.

The user interface is clunky. If you have to change anything quickly there is a lot of scrolling the icons are huge and hard to understand. If you're driving it's terrible. I will continue to work with the UI and hopefully get used to the differences with other streaming music apps. Sound quality is decent however which is a good thing, better than Pandora. Selection seems good enough so far.

Great when it works. Used to have little to no issues. App worked, great selection of songs, easy to use. Until recently. The app just doesn't work. I select a station or play list and...nothing. Maybe a minute, maybe 5 minutes later it will start playing. Maybe you'll be lucky and it will continue playing, more likely, you'll get a song or 2 then it will quit again. Forget trying to switch to a different Playlist, that a surefire way to freeze it up. Irritating to pay when it doesn't work.

Good at first but now annoying. This was the best for a while but besides the 1 minute lag, I now have to look up each individual song because anytime I click on any of my playlists it says it can't find it or they might not have certain things anymore. But like.... I can't look, because it won't let me. And I tried refreshing the playlist page but all it does is Jeep loading and never stops. Someone needs to fix this ASAP!! 😠

Very poor speed and reliability. Songs can take minutes to start or just not start at all. The downloading feature is great and so is the ability to cast to an Echo but the app is very glitchy. Sometimes it won't open or add playlists because "None of your music matches the filters you applied". I haven't set any filters, and when I hit the clear all button, it loads until my phone dies. The only way to play music is to download a song, then shut off your data + wifi just to play the file 😡

After the last update, it gives me a message that my playlist is not there, I see it in the app but when I tap on it that's when I get the message. I have already been having issues for the the past few months where it buffers constantly or doesn't even play a song. I will have full bars of 5G on my signal so there's no reason for buffering. In the last couple of weeks, I've had to tap shuffle several times for it to even start playing my playlist. As I type this, it has buffered 3 times.

I have been using Amazon Music for years, and it gets more and more frustrating every time it gets updated. The latest being I would pick a song and it would take the app over a minute to register I picked a song. The app has been updated a couple times since then and with each one, I was hoping that would be fixed. Nope. The update today was the final straw. Not only did it not fix the latency issue, but it wiped out my playlists. Why am I paying for Music Unlimited when the app DOESN'T WORK.

Update: For a few months this app went to the dogs. But now it's back to its original glory. It was taking up to 15 minutes to load songs and would randomly freeze and shut down. After multiple updates, I finally Uninstaller and reinstalled the app. Now it works without any glitches at all. Thank you to the Amazon Music employees who spent the time to fix all the bugs. I once again recommend this app.

Love being able to look up and download certain songs but the app could use improvements. Sometimes it will just shut down by itself and when you try to start it back up it takes forever for the song to start playing again, sometimes I'll select a song and wait 5-10 minutes before it starts playing which is frustrating. Overall good but feel like it's very slow and sluggish

When it decides to work right it is a good app but it does have some major issues preventing it from being really good. The biggest issue I have is when going through my song list get so far then it turns into a bunch of [...] no song name or anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times but it is still happening. If they were to actually address and fix the problem I would give it a better rating.

Over time, this app has become worse and worse to the point of unusability. They have gone so all-in on the Spotify subscription model such that trying to use it as a service to purchase and listen to your music is extremely frustrating. The interface is confusing, and every time it launches it loads up a nag screen to try and get you to sign up for the subscription. Worst part? Even if you do, you STILL get the nag screen, this time asking you to upgrade to the family plan!

I have used this for streaming for several years now and loved it, however the last month or so has been terrible. It will not start playing for several minutes and then it will freeze after one or two songs. When I switch to a different music app, it will start up again randomly. I have been very disappointed lately and am considering dropping this altogether. (Samsung Galaxy S20+) Please get this fixed!

The app is constantly crashing. It will stop playing music; or not start music when you hit play; or it will start playing music randomly when it hasn't been activated. It's unfortunate because there are so many options available on the app music-wise, but I am considering canceling my subscription at this point. Also, I do not want to give the app direct access to my Bluetooth. I wish it would stop asking.

Would give negative stars if I could. I listen to music every day of my work week & prime music is not working correctly. When I want to listen to a certain song or Playlist it take @ least 15 minutes to play. This has been going on for months now. It also buffers even though I have a signal. I'm almost to the point to cancel my subscription. Very frustrating!!!!!!

The algorithms are terrible. Half the time I have no clue how two artists could possibly be associated. The android auto version is the worst. It doesn't pull any info from regular app use, so the 'recent' options are completely worthless. Also no genre or search options. The 'dislike' button is only available on the lock screen, dumb. The 'recent' options are artist only, so if you try to listen to the same station repeatedly it's a 47 step process. So much more.....

Easy to use when it works. It crashes so easy, doesn't always sync up to the Alexa, and has been overall frustrating to get to play. I appreciate the layout and how easy it is to use compared to Spotify, but it only plays music/works half the time. I'm even more annoyed that I'm paying for Amazon Music Unlimited and it's not working.

Using it with my Echo Dot is very buggy. It's very hard to get it to recognize what I am asking it to play, so I generally use the Android app to control it. It usually works, but not always. Yesterday, no matter what playlist I clicked to play, it wouldn't play, and returned to the song I was playing the night before. It wouldn't even play that, though. Had to restart my phone to get it to work. On the plus side, good music selection and good sound. Update: app+Echo sucks. WTG, Amazon!
