Since updating to Android 14, the app will randomly pause while playing music. I've had to force close, reinstall, delete cache and even restarting my phone so it can continue to play. I've read it could be a connectivity issue, but I'm always on a strong connection (including mobile data). I don't know what happened, but it's very frustrating having to go through this much just resume play.

Spotify offers a vast musical landscape, but its recommender system occasionally misses the beat. The lack of a "thumb-down" for genres and artists is perplexing. This flaw is evident in the DJ feature, which insists on serving up dance, metal, and K-pop tunes that rarely strike the right chord with me. And when it cheekily suggests "here's a song you'll recognize", more often than not, I'm left scratching my head. A symphony of hits and misses.

I've been a premium member for years, and the last 2 days, the app quit working completely. I've tried everything possible. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, updated my phone, cleared the cache, cleared the data, it won't even let me log in, and just keeps giving a "something went wrong" message. I was so fed up I canceled and will see if Amazon music is any better. I'm so tired of the issues it's giving me.

I've used Spotify as Premium for 10+ yrs. I use to be able to go through and shuffle my library and let's say a song plays that I want to be at the top of my Liked Songs I would simply remove it from library and then add it back again so it would be on the top to play again (if it's something I want to hear more often and easily see, but I don't want it in a Playlist per say) - can no longer do that. Don't like the way its not clear that the new audio book section isn't all free - felt deceiving

I do think this is the best music app out there and have been subscribed for a while, but I desperately miss the Enhance feature. Smart Suffle doesn't compare! I want the songs it adds to be visible on my playlist, so I can + or - at my own leisure instead of waiting for a smart shuffled song to pop in, go into the song, and decide to add it to my Playlist or not. If I miss it, I'm out of luck! Please bring enhance back!

Recently this app has begun to have lots of problems. The most common one I encounter is that the app suddenly stops audio while showing that the song is still playing. This happens just about every time I use the app. I have to either switch to the app, or if that doesn't work, close and reopen it to get the sound to play again. Other times the app crashes and clears all songs from the play queue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and cleared the cache, but the problems have stayed the same

UI and menus constantly changes for seemingly no reason which makes the app annoying to use. Trying to play a certain moment in a song doesn't work at all, songs just won't play until clearing the cache sometimes. It rarely recommends new music of artists I frequently listen to. Today when scrolling, it would pop back to the top for no reason. Frequent crashes. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it exists. If there were a viable alternative solution, I'd probably use that.

I have been using Spotify for years, it's been great. But these updates are getting bad. Now im having issues with the app saying, "Couldn't load the lryics for this song." What's going on with this? Another problem is the recommended songs. I could be listening to ANYTHING, and then it throws in random songs. I don't like these updates, spotify is going downhill. Please fix it. Update: The lyrics are finally back after a month update 2: lyrics are gone again. Please fix this.

App is kind of Mid now I've been using spotify for about 10 years now, I really like making music mixes for friends, and it has always been really good for discovering new music to add to my playlists. But I have really been having a hard time with the music playback over the past year. Spotify forgets where I last left off at, everytime I connect to a bluetooth device, it resets the playlist. I don't enjoy losing the ability to listen all the way through a longer playlists. More can be said...

At this point I really struggle to understand how the most widely used music app doesn't have a better user interface. Give the app the features it has on PC. Better sorting, and group deletions, at a minimum. There's a limit to how many songs you can add to a playlist? Why? What purpose does this serve? Also, stop automatically selecting "smart recommendations." No one wants this on their playlist, that's why they made a playlist.

Honestly I don't know what they where thinking when they added the smart shuffle, I mean every time I play a song or create a playlist it would either play a totally random song or just put a song in a playlist. It is just annoying because I can't turn it off and not only that, it would stop my music at any point in time and I wouldn't be able to resume it. Spotify please disable smart shuffle and fix that bug.

New update is making the app crash after 5 minutes. I can't play any songs after a certain amount of time (5 minutes) I have to reboot the device every time. Also skip and scroll thru songs are nearly impossible to do. App isn't working like it used too. If this doesn't get fix soon I will have to say good bye to my subscription with them. I am not paying for a poorly written app.

I installed the app a couple of weeks ago. I really liked it until the new update. I haven't seen a lot of people discuss the update, but I don't like it. I can not pick the songs I would like without a membership or additional fees. Having to play on shuffle instead of picking/having a chosen order is incredibly annoying. I have to constantly hear the same songs instead of others from my playlist. Also, I dislike that they add their own songs to your own Playlist.

Pretty buggy. It just stops playing music randomly. notification stopped showing up while music is playing making it very inconvenient to skip songs while I am doing something else. It often displays a different title/album cover from what I'm actually listening to. Edit: much of the above has been fixed, but these and other issues come and go frequently. It seems like they don't do much testing before rolling out updates or something.

Uninstall and reinstall! Originally, I experienced no problems with the mobile application. I'm currently a premium member (been premium for 5+ years) and only recently everything has become broken. I can't perform basic functions such as liking a song or following an artist. That's just basic, every function is broken. I've asked my coworkers and they are experiencing the same problems.

I don't know what's happened recently, but parts of the app just feel slower than usual - the time it takes from tapping a song to it actually playing feels longer, and plenty of times I'll tap a song (perfect internet connection), and absolutely nothing happens. Opening the app minutes after closing it, I'll sometimes just get stuck at a gray screen. Clearing cache or reinstalling has not fixed these issues. S23 Ultra.

For what seems like the last month the app has worked horribly. Songs don't stay hidden, it randomly stopped playing, when I open the app it will start playing an entirely different playlist, and I have to force stop the app multiple times before I can even use it sometime. Spotify has been going downhill lately and I am looking to switch to a different service altogether.

There are a lot of issues with this app now, continuing on to this new review, I still find the UI updates pointless and confusing, I don't like all the pop-ups I get about artists I don't care about, and honestly I'm not a huge fan of most of the formatting for this app. Also, their new shuffle that adds songs is SO annoying when I'm just trying to cycle between shuffling and just playing the songs as they're ordered. Let us revert back to the old UI.
