I was excited for this app, but after spending some time and money on the Smule app I find the user experience frustrating to say the least. The app is clunky and freezes on multiple occasions. Making the user experience sub par. Which needs to be fixed promptly. I'm also not very keen on how much echo I hear in the headphones while singing, but that's not a big deal. The biggest deal is being able to actually use the app flawlessly every time. Until the bugs are fixed, don't waste your money.

The idea is wonderful, as I love singing. It is fun, but the music never lines up to the pitch lines. This can be corrected after the song is recorded, but this means you would have to sing it as you know it without listening to the music which, to me, kills a lot of the fun this app could bring. I have tried this app twice now, and it still doesn't work the way it should. I have tried many different songs and they all have this issue.

( I updated and its still doing it. )Havnt been able to get though a single song lately . Every time I try it skips like a cd would or freezes no matter how many times I restart the don't or reset the app or my phone. Nothing is helping. I'm getting frustrated this just started about a few days ago. I cant even join people's duets because of it. I'm really getting tired of it. I would really like to sing and record soon.

In general I love the app. I love to sing and have fun.Just a little issue that I hope you guys will fix, If I decided to listen a song, I have to keep manipulating the phone to be able to heard the total length of the recording, it is kind of annoying while you are busy doing something else. the phone closes the app.Could be my phone settings but, honestly I think is the app. please can you look into it Thanks.

I love this app I buy membership on and off when I have the urge to sing for a month and it's great. However I am so tired of the on and off crackling sound I get in the background of my songs depending on the games latest update. Sometimes everything is fine but others I get background crackling noises that are not coming from my headphones or my microphone (I have switched both things out multiple times to try to get rid of the sound and it doesn't make a difference).

Great song selection and the interface is pleasing and easy to use. But I have quite a few of problems with this app: Haven't found a way to mute the mic- Have to restart the whole song if you make one mistake, can't just redo one part. Voice editing tool needs to be redone - There isn't nearly enough customization to the effects. Have to pay $100 a year for VIP?? -If you aren't VIP you can't sing solo, you have to join somebody's song. The benefits of VIP are not good compared to the price tag

I love the app. I've used it for 5 years now. But until Sing Live is fixed I can't give it any higher than a 2. You've coined a new term: smuled. It's when you pick up the mic and the connection breaks and both singers have to restart the entire app. It's frustrating that sometimes it takes 10 minutes to sing with someone. Oh, and I get connection errors when checking messages. I have to force quit and restart to read new messages.

I wish it had some of the features that the iOS version has.. such as being able to redo a certain verse rather than restarting the whole song if you mess up. Also it skips.. a lot. I'm lucky when I get a clean recording because of all the pauses and skips it does usually.. it's very frustrating. I want to enjoy this app but some of the bugs in it make it hard to.

I signed up for Smule and the 7 day free trial. It won't allow me to do anything. Can't upload a photo, can't sing a song... I can look around and tap on stuff but its like a dummy/demo version. Lame... I was excited to learn how to sing duets with my friends. Uninstalling and cancelling now :( Update: Once I heard from tech support and uninstalled/reinstalled the app, I was able to sing and record songs. The songs were a little glitchy at times, but it may have been my reception. I had a lot of fun with this app! Thanks Smule

Tons stating it, but the new update is awful. On top of everything by others I also get more glitches. Songs being saved early on their own, and now you can't go back into them you have to start all over. I can't change the voice effects anymore? It gets stuck on one thing or another and won't let me change even when changing a song. And the response to the bad reviews? Try styles. I don't want the styles, it's a singing app, and the singing has been totally sat aside in favor of flair.

I've had this app for many years now, and it has gotten me through some rough times. It's truly the most AMAZING thing....until just recently. As an Android user The lyrics aren't in sync with the song at all! Not even close, and the video keeps freezing up. I would truly beyond heartbroken if I had to delete my VIP membership after all these years. Do hope you fix it very soon.

The voice changers aren't that great, below par when it comes to music apps. The songs listed as rock or alternative aren't rock or alternative music at all, it's all pop as far as I can see. The songs from musicals are ok, need a better selection of those. The VIP option is way too expensive. I would of loved this app if it had actual rock music and was more accessible for people. I really shouldn't have to pay for a subscription for solo. I firmly believe no one should download this game.

The app is great and all but there are some problems I keep experiencing recently. First, the song freezes for a bit and it knocks me off, and it even freezes in the middle of a word. Second, whenever I plug in my earbuds some songs go staticy and slow. Third, it won't let me use the free trail. The 3rd one I don't really mind since I can still sing but it is kind of disappointing.

I am all of a sudden having problems recording. I can sing the song, but then it says "There was a problem configuring audio. Please try again" and then I can't edit. I've used my bluetooth headphones many times and have never had this problem. The vocals usually match up fairly close. Please fix this. We are paying money for a subscription to this service. It should work.

It's unfortunate that you can't pick your voice effect when joining others, can't change visual effects, and it just sounds off now. Whenever you record if you click out of the voice effect to adjust volume of your voice you CAN NOT go back to the effects. It needs fixed. Used to use it a while ago and recently got back on. Glad I only subscribed to one month VIP instead of committing to a full year again. I will say I like the globe and seeing where the other person is joining from.

The latest update is horrible! No effects, except default effects? This app was just about perfect, all it needed was to allow the user to hear their own voice through the headphones while singing, like other karaoke apps do. But no, they went a different route and completely nose dove right into the dirt with this new, very limited update. As soon as my month is up, I'm considering a cancellation and going somewhere else for karaoke unless they see the error of their ways and fix their mistake!

What is happening with this app that I have been paying for 3 years. It's sad, it's not what it was before. many tracks of very low quality , lyrics that do not match the music . and silly video effects with hearts and makeup , Before there were pretty effects , slow motion effects , or four screens among others . It would make me sad to leave the app. I would like to be able to sing and find all my favorite songs from the 70s and 80s but with good sound quality. Thanks.

I love the app, but it would be so much better if we were able to save songs as drafts to finish later, and be able to redo a certain part (even after posting too). Shouldn't be hard to do if starmaker can do it. Once you mess up, you can't go back and have to start all over. Editing would be a huge gamechanger. Also, when you accidentally "like" someone's song you cannot unlike it. It's frustrating, please fix this. Otherwise it's a really fun app.
