-- I've never used the app before. How do I start?
Tap the 'Get' button on the screen to download the app. Once downloaded, simply follow the instructions on screen. From there, all you'll need are your Nationwide account details or debit card and card reader and the app will help you finish setting up.

My app isn’t downloading
If your app isn’t downloading or seems to be stuck, to fix it:

1. Go to your phone’s settings and choose Apps > Google Play Store > Force stop
2. Then choose Storage > Clear cache
3. Try the update again.

You can use the app to

• View your accounts; savings, loans, mortgages, credit cards and current accounts.
• Browse our product offerings, and open new accounts
• Freeze/unfreeze your debit card
• Report lost or stolen cards
• Change your passnumber
• Setup new bill payments and check existing payments (you may need your card reader for some transactions)
• Setup and track a Savings Goal
• Personalise your settings to update your personal details, get text alerts and go paperless

The online application system for new accounts, insurance products and the ability to send and receive messages/information cuts out that horrible post delay, or the trip to a branch where you get told - "it's all online now Sir"! lt's so great to gather all my accounts on one page, easy to move money around and keep on top of all my finances - "A sound piece of kit" 10/10

This bank is very inconvenient. Instead of changing your logo to resemble challenger banks. Please improve your tech. Do the simplest thing atleast and get rid of the card reader! Im on holiday and to pay an existing payee on our joint account that was setup on my partners side of the joint account, i have to use a stupid card reader which I don't have. Backward and inconvenient banking. I would not recommend Nationwide.

Once into it, it is on a par with other banking apps - no deficiencies, or USPs, that I can see. However, it is quite slow to start compared to the others I've used and that's a bit annoying.

I'm happy with this for my straightforward use. I do constantly worry about the security though. When I have to jump through hoops to go via a PC, I only need to enter digits for the app. I have asked why so simple and I was told that you can't do as much with the app. Is this good enough? Well I'm happy that since my review above, I'm having to jump through hoops on my mobile now as well. So security seems to have improved noend. I now don't really want it to get much tougher!

It's better than some other banking apps. This is a simple, clean interface that is easy to use. The only downside for me is that sometimes a card reader has to be used. It's a big downside, as I am used to setting up payees and making payments on the go. I may end up changing banks as a result of the inconvenience.

The most useful banking app on the entire Internet! can transfer money, set up DDs, set up other accounts, save money directly into savings account, set up savings accounts, apply for loans, credit cards, mortgages, you want to do all that? there's an app for that, it's called Nationwide! (the ONLY downside to this app is Nationwide do not use a capital letter for their name! it is downgrading the English language but it is only a personal opinion and does not reflect on the usefulness of this

It's OK. It does most of what I need but if I want to search for particular transaction types I have to go to my desktop pc. But online banking doesn't allow me to search transactions by account name, which this does - so I need both! Also, I wish they both held transactions back to the start of the previous tax year, rather than just 15 months. It would really help when I'm doing my tax return at the last minute. Also, the Yes/No toggle is confusing: is blue selected or 'grayed out'?

The app is functional but feels dated. Takes too long for payments to show up, and the whole UI just feels a bit clunky and dated. Needs more features and to be more engaging. It's also long beyond time to give up the card reader, there are far more convenient ways to secure transactions that don't require a hunk of plastic I need to carry with me wherever I go, just in case I need to set up a new payee, or heaven forbid, change the reference on an existing payee!

Taken to claiming in maintenance all the time - although can dismiss this and login with password. Biometric login no longer offered. Can't add new payees easily - need card reader. Can't filter statements when looking for particular transactions

Love the building society but at the moment you can't use 2FA or fingerprint to approve new payments to new payees without having to use their external calculator gadget we're given by you together with the bank card to authorise any payments, SO, DD etc...and so we can't approve from the app like you can with other bank apps...I will change it to 5 stars when you get rid of current method to set things up! I hate having to get the device out if at home, put the card in, then pin etc. Oooof!

App is very restrictive. Unable to set up regular payee and send payments with a different payment ref for invoices etc. Requires you to log into internet banking. Pointless having the app if just to check transactions.

I thought when I added the new update, with the so called new look, I think you forggotem to add a dark theme, whether through laziness or stupidity, I don't know know, but very disapointed, hence the 3 star rating, would of been less, except the app works as it always did, perfectly.

Used to be better, the filtering options are more limited to dates only (if they appear on the screen). Move money option has been moved (why?) To a generic place rather than in the account you are looking at. Update 2023: app is broken, just says "talking to Nationwide". Why update without testing it works?

Notifications telling me my account is in credit can be late by days. This app and systems at nationwide need updating to a more up to date system. Move with the times. You could lose custom just based on a problem like I have with notifications.

Easy to use and view all accounts in one place. Good that it shows pending transactions immediately. Needs to have biometric logon. Also need to allow user to edit payment references without need for cardholder.

Frustrating that the app still requires a Card Reader device to authenticate certain payments. I have Biometric security enabled and this was enough to verify me when I've banked with Halifax & Santander. Most banking apps have moved on from this. It's 2023!

Impossible to make a repeat payment to a previous company with a different reference i.e. A change of invoice number. Now almost one year further on, and I still have to delete the payee and enter their details all over again with a different invoice number. This can only be done when I am at home as I still have to use wonderful card reader. Other Banks allow this to be done in the app - is this progress!

I've been banking with you for years, the logo, design and colours used was a Trusting feature, my money and account felt safe. BUT NOT NOW why did you have to change 🤔😞 the logo. Improve the app if necessary, !! Low rating for LOGO change. It seems insidious to me..if you are there for the members as you say!? Was there a vote?
