Discover all the benefits of the Trenitalia App

The Trenitalia App makes it simpler to plan your journeys. Purchase season tickets, carnets and other tickets for Frecce, Intercity, Regional, EC and EN trains in just a few clicks, as well as your tickets for Busitalia buses in Umbria and Veneto!

Use geolocation and the Quick Purchase function to buy your tickets without delay. Pay however you like from among the many payment methods available (Credit Cards, Paypal, Google Pay, Satispay, Amazon Pay or bank transfer) or use your CartaFRECCIA/X-GO points, Bonuses, Credits or Gift Cards.

Manage your journey directly from the Home Page, check all information on the status of the train, and check in to confirm your presence on board. Simultaneously manage your Business profile alongside your personal one, by switching easily between them!

NEW: What’s more, from 30 June you can plan your journey from the first mile to the last directly from the Home Page, by entering your departure and arrival addresses! Where available, you will be shown travel solutions with multiple means of transport.

Awful experience, The binario was about 1km away, so when I got there apparently the train was gone (which I don't believe) because I sat in the train and it was 30 minutes late so I had to take another train anf I had to pay again. NEVER gonna use it again cause had the same problem the last time. Definitely I do not recommend it if you are a tourist.

Not bad app, but requires writing personal information every time and bought personal tickets are not saved into the app

Overall the design and features look great but the app has a lot of bugs. Sometimes the saved ticket loads fine and sometimes it does not load at all. The same with the timetable.

I am from India. while visiting Italy, all the train tickets from Rome to Trieste, Trieste to Pisa, florance, again to Rome are booked through trenitalia from India.. such a nice support and used to experience. thank you 🙏. by d way we booked all the tickets in u and me offer and got good discount.

I have used this app regularly on trips to Italy and have not encountered any of the problems others have had. But all of a sudden it has stopped saving my tickets and I have to re-enter my booking reference each time in order to find them. I hope this is temporary and will be fixed soon.

I booked a regional train in the app and was only presented with a retrieval code but did not receive an email with the ticket attached. I could see the tickets in the app, but the barcode necessary for the train trip was not shown. At the train station they could not help me, as they cannot retrieve the ticket based on the retrieval code. They told me I will likely get the money back within a day, which didn't happen.

Slower than other apps to connect to the internet, odd cache behaviour and not well connected with native commands (e.g. the back button), the app still does its job and allows various payment methods included PayPal. I suggest downloading the tickets before traveling to avoid issues in recovering the qr code.

Worst app and user experience ever. Couldn't create an account because of tax code. I tried to check out as a guest but payment wouldn't go through. I kept getting "Site is down for maintenance. Try again later." message for over 6 hours. Had to book using Italo which was probably a better decision any ways. Also after hearing about Trenitalia's lawsuit against Trenìt app, I will never book through them ever. Why would Trenitalia not share their train data with 3rd party devs?? Ridiculous!!

Excellent, easy to use app. Word of caution, register first before purchasing tickets otherwise the tickets do not show up on the app. We had to get a ticket booth rep to help us out and that took some time because of the long lines at the station. At least the lines were moving and staff is very helpful.

Good app but its UI is a blame: it makes difficult also the easy tasks! e.g. Android back button does not work, app itself fresh re-starts after a while, every time I load a new page the keyboard opens even if without any form to fill, some app buttons are hidden. This talking only for the Purchase tab...

It's a great app to have in Europe. The board at the train station does not update fast enough but the app will tell you what track your train will be on well before it gets to the station. The bad thing is it saves the train number and continues to update on that train number. There is no way to clear the search.

I would really like to know the usefulness of a toggle which hides direct train solutions. I think there's should be one which disables NON direct solutions. EDIT: I appreciate the answer, but I still think it's an unintuitive button, not needed in the main search screen.

Amazing improvement over previous versions! Now it's so easy to buy tickets and have the qr code ready for control. The interface for checking the path of a train while buying it could be improved but minor regarding the overall functionality of the app. Congrats!

Really awful! I can't use really the app because i can't retrieve my credentials. At the end I solved thanks to the Facebook help of the trenitalia operator who was able to reset my credentials. The issue was related to a my old registration with an old trenitalia card that was going in conflict with the freccia cards and only the operator was able to restore my situation. Anyhow the app has not the retrive credentials functionality and it is really bad.

Very well made app. It works nearly flawlessly, and it is very intuitive. It even shows the delays and the platform on which your train will arrive. Only downside is that it can be a bit slow during ticket purchase (at least when using PayPal).

Does all it should and is pretty usable. Tickets bought on the website automatically appeared in the app. Could be better if things were better linked, so you could see the status of your train/which platform from your ticket, instead of having to leave it and enter the train number on a different page. In the reply to this review I am told that all this information should be visible on the home page for your next booked journey, but that didn't happen for my three journeys. Maybe next time.

This app overall fills its purpose even though a couple of things make you think if this was really made in 2019. The search has no fuzzy string matching so you better know exactly the name of the place you are looking for! It gets so tricky with places named San something as some are shortened with S. and some other are not. Also if your trip includes a Regionale train then the app doesn't allow you to even buy the rest of the tickets. Go to a professional next time, you are a state agency.

App is very slow and a bit buggy. Especially Satispay payment most of the times does not work. It seems that you have paid but actually satispay app closes like everything is ok but when you return to trenitalia app again you get no ticket. Please improve!
