Bothell,Washington US on Android 9 Tom Tom routed me down a transit access only road. I would have gotten a ticket if I had taken that route. When I tried to reroute the proper way, it continued to try and send me back down the transit only. It also had serious problems with routing through construction zones and didnt recognize several entrances into shopping centers. Its a pleasant voice and catchy interface, but too unreliable for the upgrade price. Im going back to Google Navigation.

Notifications are very soft. When multiple routes available, unlike with Waze, it doesn't give info on the routes so you can pick what option is really best. I picked the one listed as fastest... Um, no it wasn't the fastest! It was actually the slowest because the fastest only takes into account the distancing, not traffic or lights. I really liked the interface and display but, of it's going to take me through the heart of a midsized metro city as the fastest route, I have to pay on this app.

So disappointed when you consider this is a paid service. The maps are seriously out date. I got roads down here and by roads I mean major highways like the turnpike and dolphin that were redone and finished a few years ago. Yet this app with the latest updates has the old layouts on these roads. I don't have a choice then to cancel my subscription. It's sad because I was looking for a nicer alternative to waze and especially Google maps. The TomTom go layout is gorgeous but inacurrate.

Where do I even begin? Very poor routing suggestions, no level of accuracy with traffic, and very limited options with interface customization. Voice nav is terrible and they keep going on about this BIG update coming that will revolutionize the whole operation yet nothing has been done.. I paid for a 1 month premium as a trial and I'm glad I didn't just get the year. I'll probably uninstall it and stick with Google maps. I would strongly recommend others do the same. Don't waste the money!

I'm finding myself guided to the wrong destination more and more frequently. The address seems to get approximated when I search. I expect it to find it as accurately as Google maps or Waze, but it does not work that well. It is steering me wrong way on one way streets occasionally now in San Francisco. I cannot use this as my default app anymore. It's great for offline maps. I love not having advertisers on my navigation screen

This app leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, it really struggles to log into the right account (not sure if that's because I have more than one email or not) once I'm finally logged in (which takes so long because once you try the wrong credentials once, it's stuck on a loop where there is no obvious lot out button) then halfway through my trip an ad booted me from my map and I had to pull over to try to get it to work again (I actually couldn't get it to work again. Waste of money. Sad.

This is the app to have for navigation. I found it to have better routing than Google and Waze. It does fall short on finding business sometimes, but if you have the street address it will get you there. An unexpected surprise was the live traffic. I have enjoyed using TomTom GO for the past month during the free trail. I don't travel enough to justify paying for it, though I am tempted. If I do have the need in the future I won't hesitate to subscribe.

I'm with Neil J!! This used to be a killer app. You'd pay your $21.99 a year and get timely map updates for the whole U.S. or beyond, and it was a done deal. NOW...it's a nightmare. You have to add each state individually, which in and of itself isn't so bad but when you try to add more than a few states at a time, even though the app allows you to do it, you only get a fraction of the states you've selected. Then you have to go back and add and add. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. And it keeps locking up when it's initializing the maps. It's just a nightmare. Also, I have 4 phones and only ONE of them got the "New and Improved" version, while the other 3 still said I had to pay $21.99!! I put in my identification information and it STILL said I had to pay to upgrade, even though I'd already paid the new yearly price of $12.99, auto renewable, for the one phone that got the update. The price is good, but the product is in the crapper now. FIX IT folks! A.S.A.P.

The app is in pretty good shape, although 50 miles is really low for freebie usage in majority of US suburban areas. I can use 50 miles in one day's commute in Atlanta. The interface is little funky on my Note 10+ in vertical orientation which I prefer. The only thing keeping me from signing up for the premium subscription is the lack of premium add-on voices. I've been using Google Maps and Waze for well over ten years and they're really just bland and the premium voices are sorely missed.

Nice interface, excellent traffic information. Big let down is the quality of the maps. The maps are outdated and the routing algorithm has no awareness of traffic restrictions in certain areas and roads. TomTom works fine if you live outside city areas, but if you live in a place like London with unusual traffic restrictions where there are intricate LTNs and complicated congestion charging zones (active at different times of the days and are different over the weekends), then stay away.

I've been using TOMTOM GO for several plus years now, and it has not failed me in any of the countries that I work in. It would be nice to add Traffic, but I prefer to be completely offline and not use data. I highly recommend Go over many other similar apps - I check them out occasionally - but I can't see why TomTom needs access to my contacts and pictures. Please give us an option to turn this feature off, as the phone is mine not yours! In summary this is THE best offline GPS / SatNav app available.

My free trial is going to be over before I actually download enough states to do any testing of this application. While I can appreciate downloading the maps for offline use. Having an individually check each state is rather annoying. It only seems to download two or three states at a time regardless of how many you check. I downloaded this app so I could experiment with more efficient routes and routes off the beat and path. --> I cannot see pricing without canceling my trial. <-- Please add download all states at one time. The app couldn't find a way across three states till I downloaded all states even though I had the three required states.

This is the best nav app Ive found. Very quick route calculation, responsive and intuitive interface, reliable in-town navigation, easy to download and manage offline maps. App is updated frequently and seems to have gotten much quicker since I first downloaded it over a year ago. That said still use with caution on minor backroads outta town as the road data is still very incomplete and sometimes inaccurate conpared to other (albiet less user friendly) options.

Edit/update- Great app, good interface and easy to use and read. The map updates quickly especially when a turn is missed. Rerouted me to a quicker route due to a collision ahead of me and also tells you that your exceeding the speed limit but there are a couple things I'd like to see on this app, I'd like to see next turn displayed and an (ETA) estimate time of arrival which is the one thing that could cause me to not continue using this app as ETA is very important to me with my job.

I like this app except for a few minor things. When started, it defaults to North up. I prefer heading up, and have to change it each time I launch it. It shoul be in settings, like most other apps. And, if I turn on speed alerts, it seems to be 3 mph, and is too sensitive. It needs to have a settable value in settings.

The app is great: it works smoothly and it's laid out better than apps like Waze and Google Maps for the most part, with easy touch points and logical menus... But that's about where my good experience ended. My main reason for trying this in the US was because I wanted to see what other Navigation apps could offer, and TomTom GO proved that some things could be done better, but that all fell apart with the incomplete map data and terrible voice guidance (i.e. "Cat-a-nooga") for $4.99/mo.

I just installed the app and downloaded the maps. The maps are comically bad. I live in city of 35,000 in Japan and the map shows all of 10 streets, out of hundreds. 95% or more of the streets are just plain missing. The street I live on, the larger street it branches off of, and the main street that branches off are all just not there--it just shows an arrow plowing along through nothingness, as if I were driving through a huge forest instead of a dense quasi-urban area. Even the major national expressways are missing. Maybe it's better in a few major cities, but if you installed this and tried it out in a big city and thought it was fine, you'd be up a creek once you got past the city limits if you were relying on this app..

Would love to rate it 5 stars. Absolutely love the look and UI of the app. The maps look great. But I had to go back to Copilot. There are too many stretches of Interstate that it thinks are still closed due to construction. So it tries to route you way out of route. Also there are several secondary roads that it thinks have a 4 ton weight limit that have no signs stating that. As a truck driver I can not afford to have it routing me way out of route. Especially for $19 a month.
