Description of CEFCU Mobile Banking

The CEFCU Mobile Banking App allows CEFCU Members and CEFCU Business Members to log into their accounts using the same Login ID and password as CEFCU On-Line ® Banking.

CEFCU Mobile Banking allows CEFCU Members and Business Members to:

• Make CEFCU loan, mortgage, or Credit Card payments.
• Transfer funds to/from all your CEFCU accounts or from external accounts.
• Check balances and history.
• Find CEFCU Money Center 24® and CO-OP ATMs.
• Locate Member Centers and shared branches.
• Mobile Check Deposit allows you to deposit checks directly to your Checking Account.
• Pay bills via CEFCU Bill Pay.
• Set up Alerts.
• Reorder checks for your account.
• Send secure messages to CEFCU Representatives.
• Use CEFCU My Pay to transfer funds to friends or family.
• Enroll and view eStatements.
• Track expense and develop a working budget with Online Budgeting Tools.

Enrollment is easy - you will need your primary account number (7 digits or less), date of birth and last four of your social security number. (Must be the primary account holder).

When I try to use biometrics to log in it keeps wanting me to reset my password!! Why?! I have never been thrilled with you bank and can't wait until my car is paid off to be done with you! Never have I had a good experience in the times I've had to deal with your institution!

The app has been glitching for the past two months. Every time I log in it asks for a passcode. I have to have it emailed and then enter it in and register my phone as a nee device. I have had this app on my phone for over a year with my information saved and my phone already registered. Everytime I register my device but I still have to do it again the next time I try to log in. Edit: it's not just that date. This is still happening.

Some information needed for transfers is either unavailable or not on the platform. Transfers are terrible and take forever from other institutions. It's ok for observation but actually doing anything is a pain. Decent base but needs a lot of work for a good customer experience.

Love the app, so it is easy to use. I can always get my updated information no matter where I am. My card has been hacked before, and having the ability of notifications when withdrawal and purchases sent to my phone has been a life saver. This app is 👍great.

I hate cefcu so much 😒, for the second time I'm getting the error authentication failed. I know I'm not putting in the wrong password because it sends an alert. It's also not because it's in the middle of maintance because it'll say it on the app. I hate having to constantly change my password to get back in because that's not always guaranteed to get me back in. I'm so over this bank, once my checks go through for the end of the month I'm switching to a different bank somewhere else.

Tried downloading the app and signing up for the very first time. Hit sign up on the main page after dwnld. Gave pertinent info and created a strong login ID. Hit submit. Keeps saying error but does not say what field the error occurred. Was definitely NOT the userID tho. Made sure of that. Do Not waste your time. Get a real developer next time. Huntington don't have this problem. And they now let you advance up to 1000 without a loan. Been with cse for 10 yrs.bout to switch

Lately, the app won't let me sign in with my finger print. There also is not enough characters in my user name to match up with my actual user name. I am uninstalling and reinstalling the app in hopes that it will fix the problem. Edit: Uninstall and Reinstall fixed my problem.

the app constantly fails to open. it fails to show pending transactions a lot and doesnt show the pending new balance when it does show pending transactions. I moved money over from another account to not overdraft when my water bill was pending, and then the pending water bill completely disappeared so I thought it was returned.

Purchases will stay *pending* for days, annoying and difficult to keep an accurate balance... Edit 9/29/22.. Today the app says my current balance as 225.26 when the actual balance is $0.70, and it actually shows 70¢ on the transaction page, with nothing pending... BEWARE! and keep a a proper paper checkbook register. You can't trust what the app says is in your account. IDK how many $30 overdraft fees I've been hit with because I think there's more money in my account then there actually is.

App is easy to navigate, and customer service is helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that pending charges take forever to finalize which then messes with your budget. So as far as using the mobile app to keep yourself aware of your budget..... dont because you will log into the app a day later with a surprise.

it's nice when it works but I have had to uninstall and reinstall several times to get it to work. it happens when I try to transfer money from one account to another and the app will close completly and make you sign in again. after trying 3 times I have to uninstall, reinstall sign back in and it works. then do the whole process again the next time. and with the hassel at the bank itself I'm ready to switch banks.

Mostly ok. Persistent camera error for mobile check deposit is frustrating. The camera refuses to focus on a check even after fully updating, restarting phone and app, and camera app, as well as clearing the phone cache. Google Pixel 1 running Android 9 for the dev's out there. If you can get the focus issue resolved, I'll gladly improve my rating.

This app has come a long way from the initial offering. There are only 2 things that I do not like. 1. The app only tells me the current balance in my accounts and I have to do the math to figure out the available balance, and 2. Whenever I use my card at the gas pump, I see a hold of $0 until the purchase clears. My old bank knew what the amount was and put that on hold.

The balance shown isn't always correct. Pending transaction doesn't change the total balance till it officially goes through. Requiring you to calculate your true balance if you want to real number. Also some transaction won't show as pending or posted for days sometimes even a little over a week. It's very possible you'll forget. I've over drafted a few times because of that, my fault should of payed more attention. However, feels like a predatory tactic to me.

I always have issues logging in, I type all my stuff in correctly, and the loading thing just spins and spins. It still does it after the update on 12/26, I even uninstalled then reinstalled, still didnt work, cleared the cache, still doesn't work, and even force stopped it and it still didnt work.

The app is a really great idea, however it doesn't always work. I've been charged countless fees for money not transferring into my accounts when I am sure I transferred the money and even read the notification that it did. When I call to complain after being charged, I am told that I am wrong. Not impressed!

Coming from Heartland Credit Union using their app...CEFCU is mostly just as user easy but one feature I miss is pending deposits. It's just nice to see instead of just the day off the deposit. I do not like the recent change where payments that are going to go through were showed before going through by the end of that day. Now they just post at the beginning of the day. I'm sure this has caused a few over drafts where as before one had time to see payments that were going to post. Not nice!
