When the app works, it's pretty handy. Lets you see and manage devices on your network, test speed, etc. However, this app has rarely worked in the two months I've had ATT. Seems whenever I'm troubleshooting my network and I want to check it via the app, it is absolutely worthless because it won't connect. Edit 6/16/2020: can't even login now as it used to take my fingerprint and now it won't. There is no other way to login now if you set up fingerprints, apparently. Changed rating to 1 star.

Pointless. This app hasn't worked for days. Which makes it completely useless, because the only things it exists for is troubleshooting connectivity issues, or managing the connected devices in the home. Because the app has given me an error message for days on end when I try to view connected devices, I can no longer use it. So pointless and frustrating.

Good basic gateway app. It does help you to see and manage the devices on your network, but it is very basic in the information it provides. It does offer a very limited set of parental controls, but only one set per device. It is not as good as the Eero app which allows for multiple profiles per device. I have upgraded from the BWG210 to the BWG320. It doesn't change how the app works but did improve my internet speed and the number of active devices I can have on the network.

Prior to Christmas this app worked decently. While limited in its usage, I could see all connected devices, reset the router, change the password, and set online periods for each of my kids. But since the last update and a network outage in my area, nothing seems to work. Many previously connected devices had to be reidentified. All user profiles had to be recreated. And only once in maybe 6 tries opening the app can I see all connected devices. Usually I get an error message. Its useless now.

Easily check the status of your home network. I like that I have the ability to see what devices are connected to my network. Having the ability to block devices is awesome, I have used this feature mostly on kids. Taking away the inter-webs until homework and chores are done works. Also the ability to scan my network for devices and troubleshoot the router from the app is very helpful. TLDR: useful and helpful app

I've only been using the app for a week, but it's performing as expected. I deducted 1 star for AT&T's false internet speed test. AT&T is showing you what they are getting from their side of the modem, which is likely not what the user is getting from their side of the modem, as was the case for me. The app, and live tech support, is totally worthless for troubleshooting the problem the user is experiencing with fiber speeds. Spoiler alert, you MUST disable IPv6 on all of your devices.

I do not care for the new update! I used to love using this app to track my devices. Now, this app is tedious to navigate and doesn't feel like much help. More specifically, I dislike how you can't dictate what type of device each one is (mobile, game console, smart home device, etc.) since the update. Additionally, it no longer shows the devices categorized by whether they are connected or disconnected. Please listen to your customers on what they need from this app so it can be fixed. Thanks.

Excellent tool to manage your home network! This app lets you see everything on your network. It can breaks down how much data every device that is connected to your gateway is using. It is truly easy and understandable to use. With charts pin pointing exacting which items on what days are consuming data. This is just one of many features. You can also see how many devices are connected, what speed your getting, what speed you should be getting. I could go on but really you'll just have to see.

Smart home manager cannot reach my gateway. Wifi is working, but I cannot monitor my network and those using it, via this app. Super frustrating. App works occasionally, for a month or 2, but been having trouble for past several months. I've tried to reach out for help on the app, but unsuccessful. App is up to date. I have unplugged gateway for a few minutes. What gives?

Easy to use. Love that I can find out the real time speed of my internet to both my apartment and each device. It also allows me to reset the modem and set top box and pause the set top box and other devices all from my phone. Good tips and reminders, too. There are additional options as well. Lastly, I haven't had any trouble with this app constantly restarting or slowing down my phone.

Not really a Smart Home Manager, more of a "current snapshot" viewer. It's very basic, will let you know what devices are connected, data usage amount, reset network password. Tools I expected from any "Smart Home Manager" that are not included: (1) Parental controls, (2) Ability to easily disable internet access to a connected device. The app is limited but is stable, "snapshots" are accurate. Hopefully future versions of the app will provide more functionality.

Just got the app so I'm not 100% experienced. So far the app has been very clear with the options and easy to navigate. Being able to see the data use of each device connected to the network has been awesome and being able to allocate data to certain computers is even better. Only the only thing I'd like to see is an ability to split the bands on my router from the app.

So I like this app but there are a few things I think you can improve. 1. Delay in time to review connected devices. I disconnected some devices to my network like 10 hours ago and they are still showing to be connected 2. Show by device how much consumption is happening. I think that will be helpful particularly with streaming devices like Roku 3. A pause option connected to the AT&T Internet service would be perfect. Since there is no sleep option in off peak options like when no one is home, the option to pause the network would help reduce hitting data limits. That would make this app perfect.

Works as advertised, love the ability to control, maintain and check my network from my phone. Only issue, and it's a big one, is the frequent loss of login credentials. And to lesser extent, or maybe more, it fails to connect to the authentication server. Frustrating to say the least. Fix those minute problems and it gets a five star review easy.

Once you get connected and past the first few error messages it's actually a pretty neat app. It has some useful features such as viewing and blocking all devices connected. You can modify network name and password easily. A good amount of the complaints in the reviews have been addressed. The only reason I don't give more stars is because the speed test is super sketchy. It shows 59 to 60mbps when all other tests show 5 to 15 consistently. One more thing I don't trust about att...

This app has become useless. 90% of the time now when I login it's starts by not showing my hardware connection. Then when I try to open it or connected devices I get an error message. Something that starts with "Oops...". I have seen many reviews about this same issue. Why haven't the developers found a fix for this??? I guess I will no longer be using it because it doesn't work. Very disappointing 😞

12-2020 Update: App changed and does a "network diagnostic" every time you open the app, taking 30-45 seconds. Why? And, since adding a WiFi Extender, the app won't work if you're behind it. So, lowered score to a 3. Very nice app! Sufficient tools to manage and troubleshoot the router, Wi-Fi and connected devices. Works regardless of Wi-Fi connection, using cell phone 4G to access. Much easier than many router apps on a PC.

If the app worked, it wouldn't be bad, but this is about the most poorly optimized app I've seen, and AT&T is supposed to be a tech firm? It should not take over a minute for every component/new page to load. It renders the app effectively unusable and, in a time when human assistance is harder to render, we need to our digital services to function a lot more reliably than this.
