Searched for the whole day and then I found a perfect app to manage my expenses with both me and wife looking at the same thing on both our mobiles. Since it stores the data on the internet and nothing on the phone, both our mobiles are always in sync. The only thing we need to do is use the same email id to login from both our mobiles so that we are looking at the same account. Is perfect exactly what I needed. Now just please add the ability to create catagories and tags in the app, so I don't have to login on the web to do that. And I love the bubbles in the summary view. Very useful

The UI takes some getting used to, but after a while everything starts feeling intuitive. The sync between devices is great. Just subscribed to pro, really hope the android app continues getting polished and refined. Highly recommend!

All the pop ups and your personal information gathered, then ask for money. I don't like this underhanded process. Try something else. EDIT: upped a few stars because the developer replied. I understand its costs, I just don't like the way it goes about it. I found something that does the same and for free albeit maybe not as flashy as this one, it still spins my wheels. Thanks for your time.

Returning User - back since 1st using in 2013. Upgraded to Medici. Just spent 2+ hours syncing accounts, entering budget, expenses, and income. Noticed that expenses, and income link to the cash account only which is incorrect however there is not an open to change to one of the synced accounts on my phone or web app. The delete cash account and transfer transactions does not work. When I enter an expense there isnt even an option to select the synced financial accounts on the web app and on my phone only the cash account is shown. However all accounts are listed under Financial Accounts and show correct balances. If I deselect cash account from filter all the budgets, expenses and income disappear. If this is not resolved the app will not work for me again and I guess I will wait another 5 years to try again. Disappointed.

Have been using this app for years but one has to pay to input recurring expenses, which I found to be frustrating, as I don't need the other bells and whistles in the paid app. Look for alternative apps if you need to set up recurring expenses.

Very good app with many interchangable currencies which is something other apps don't offer. Planning is also good even though predicted spending takes, as it seems, only few latest months so not always too accurate. Feature that I would like to have is to see liquidity by dates/days for one or more specific accounts according to planned expenses.

Hi! It is the most convenient app I use for personal finance. It will be very convenient if you would add the following functionality: -possibility to map transactions received from the bank with a certain type of an expense (e.g. transaction from taxi expenses comes with the same text, however, Toshl recognized it as meals. So I should every such expense correct one by one to the correct category) -possibility to make the mass change in terms of the category of the expense (so I could select several expenses and set for them the same category at once) Thank you!

While the connection to my bank works perfect, the UI is so unintuitive that made me cancel my subscription. I always scratch my head trying to adapt to the way it presents information and also the way it asks you for information. Look at the expense details popup: you click on the expense, then you need to manually click edit... where another pop-up appears, with almost the same fields but organized differently. Categories can not have subcategories... They use tags as sub categ. More to say..

I love the app but needs a little work. No overall balance screen. Timelag syncing with online banking. You can only designate 1 day as your start of financial month. This is fine but needs flexibility if that day falls on weekend. No option to schedule sync with your accounts. With two factor authentication I have to continuously link my accounts. Very annoying. I would also like the option available to not categorise movement in my account. Better graphs too. 5 star if changes made

While I am sure the app does a lot, the UX and UI are just sooo confusing. You would literally need a manual to understand it. I had no problems connecting Revolut account but connecting other Slovenian bank account was a different picture and I simply gave up at some point. Still, if you are here for the functionalities then buy the app. If you are looking for a simple and easy to use app then this one is not for you.

I am only a new user however I am coming from using the services of MyBudget which was costing me $50 a week. I seem to be able to do the same myself using this app. I like that at a glance I can see what expenses I have come up and using the excel downloads I can make sure everything is affordable on those dates. The only gripe I would have is that the graphs don't seem to be customisable. I am not a big fan of the river flow chart or the type of bar chart used when showing how you are tracking.

Edit: after a year of using I have a different opinion on this app. It's robust and does a lot. However I feel dumb every time I need to transfer, "pay my credit card", looking into accounts. Everything is so confusing. Seriously, hire an UX designer. This app needs to be user friendly. Seems to work great. But I added my recurring incomes/expenses manually only to discover I can't make them recurring, requires me to pay. I'm sorry, but that's very basic functionality I won't pay for, making the app unusable. Haven't connected to any bank accounts, I pay cash. Visuals look good.

Had promised but it's missing too many store accounts and I don't want to have to manage them manually since YNAB does it.

Toshl is the gold standard of UI for budgeting and expenditure tracking apps. I find the categories and tags extremely intuitive and the ordering of them makes creating new expenditures quick and easy. the river flow and monthly overview charts are also beautifully presented and useful tools. I am hoping to upgrade to a paid version soon as I believe this app is worth my time and money.

It has everything I need. I have tried all the apps. This is simple and just what I was looking for. Consider adding a calculator functionality and perhaps a section for writing notes about "learnings" - where you clearly need to budget more or spend less etc.

It works great for tracking expenses. Not the most intuitive (if you tag something with two tags it shows up double in places). I did subscribe to the Pro version for multiple budgets. I don't link it to anything so I can't speak to how well that works. It would be 5 stars but you can't delete tags and categories which is very annoying. Especially when you can't delete a tag that you typoed and then made another one spelled right and now they're both still there ☹️

Good functionality. sometimes the info from the banks doesn't arrive in the app promptly and the automatic categories are almost alwats wrong, but overall it works well, including shifting easily btw different currencies. Would be good to have more graphs and more customisable graphs available, even if only on the web version.
