Description of LastPass Authenticator

LastPass Authenticator offers effortless two-factor authentication for your LastPass account and other supported apps. With one-tap verification and secure cloud backup, LastPass Authenticator gives you all the security, without any of the frustration.

ADD MORE SECURITY
Safeguard your LastPass account by requiring two-factor authentication codes when signing in. Two-factor authentication improves your digital security by protecting your account with an additional login step. Even if your password is compromised, your account can’t be accessed without the two-factor authentication code.

You can even mark a device as “trusted”, so you won’t be prompted for codes on that device while your account remains protected by two-factor authentication.

TURNING IT ON
To turn on LastPass Authenticator for your LastPass account:
1. Download LastPass Authenticator to your mobile device.
2. Log in to LastPass on your computer and launch “Account Settings” from your vault.
3. In “Multifactor Options”, edit LastPass Authenticator and view the barcode.
4. Scan the barcode with the LastPass Authenticator app.
5. Set your preferences and save your changes.

LastPass Authenticator can also be turned on for any service or app that supports Google Authenticator or TOTP-based two-factor authentication.

LOGGING IN
To login to your LastPass account or other supported vendor service:
1. Open the app to generate a 6-digit, 30-second code OR approve/deny an automated push notification
2. Alternatively, send SMS code
3. Enter the code into the login prompt on your device OR hit approve/deny request

Ok, would be nice if the extension actually let you tell it to remember the device for 30 days instead of instantly bypassing the option when using the authenticator

This app gives me a frustrating endless loop of supposed authentication while the LastPass app that used to work brilliantly now keeps asking for me to log in, like some electronic dog biting its tail.

Terrible! Once I got this authenticator app I can't log into ANYTHING because it keeps looping me back to the LastPass login screen.

I only used this app because it was supposed to keep my accounts backed up. As it turns out, they deleted my auth codes. I know they were backed up at one point, I restored them before.

It's now going down due to some points below. 1. Poor Clint support and response. 2. Otp for connecting to account not receiving. 3. No any advanced level auto and live support. 4. I am trying to disable my MFA because it's not working since a month and not get fruitful results still. Email support agents are replying to users after a week and after reply to that email users have to wait for 3 to 4 days for agent reply.

Can't figure out ux. I'm on my freaking phone, why is it sending an authentication request - to my phone? As near as I can tell, just adds more layers to make logins harder.

LastPass used to be my standard password manager. Was with them for quite a few years as a premium subscriber. With multiple security breaches recently, and the manner in which LP handled these, I no longer have any faith in them. Have ceased the sub, moved to another provider and gone thru the process of resetting every password with the new provider.

I like the password-less option, but not at the cost of convenience of having to do it every day. Please update this feature to recognize devices for 30 days like they were before.

Lastpass really messes up everything now. Every login either fails to recognize the code, fails to send a push notification or wants to reset the whole MFA. This is terrible.

Installed the LastPass App on my mobile phon a few days back as soon as I was notified by LastPass of it's realease. I receive without fail a text notification on my mobile from LastPass almost instantly upon my request to log in. I only need to confirm my request to login without any code. I understand from my readings elsewhere that this method of login is much safer than using a password. I am yet to try the other 2 new methods of login. Reassuringly I could still use my old master password.

Your chrome extension asked me to pair itself again with this app and then I didn't have access to my email account because it's protected by a password stored using the extension so I got scared for a moment because I thought I'd lose access to all my passwords. I was able to skip it but I really panicked a lot. I got scared because of how vital your software is to me. Please notify me weeks before asking me to do something important.

I'm the last few days it's taken me over 15 minutes to verify and log in to a web site. On multiple devices. I'm sure it's to help improve security but it's not acceptable to take so long to get my passwords when all I need to do is check a balance. I don't know if I'm done with LastPass only, or password managers in general

Really great and responsive 2FA/password alternative! It's frustrating that push-based authenticators don't work with centralised apps like Authy. Plus I don't really know why this isn't just included as an optional part of the main LastPass app, like Steam Guard or GitHub Mobile. But besides those minor issues, great app!

Best password [and so much more] manager evar! I recommend this to any and everyone for so many reasons. You'll never think about password management the same again. LastPass makes it all too easy and it's very secure. They've recently made it even easier with their own authenticator--sign-ins are super quick!

LastPass Authenticator is a 2FA authentication app that is simple to use and works across multiple platforms. Dark Mode and additional security features added in July 2022, great improvements! Unfortunately they had a major data breach and we're not open to discussing the subject - I moved to an alternative!!

Just started using on my mobile device I found that I had physical app but LastPass does not recognize it for some reason? I guess I should have read all the reviews prior to getting last pass! LastPass you all don't seem to have very good ratings! Why don't you guys start fixing these problems or get the old program back and running!!! It would seem to me everybody like that one better than this! I sure hope I didn't make mistake by buying LastPass!!!???
