Newton takes all the good things about email, and hides the bad. It just works on Android, iOS, macOS... Wherever. But you don't need to be multi-ecosystem to get the benefits of Newton. Synchronisation between devices is seamless and all the hassle of adding an account to a new device and getting your settings just right... That melts away into pure email bliss. The minimalist interface means you spend more time actually writing email and thinking about what you are doing and less time fiddling with some cantankerous app. Newton is email as it should have been for years.

One of the best email clients out there. From read receipts, to email reminders, and a super streamlined user interface that made managing my inbox super easy. Super bummed, to say the least, that they will be shutting their doors for a second time.

i was skeptical about shelling out $50 for an app subscription, but after giving it a test run I was convinced. the supercharged features make me feel like I can actually manage my overflowing email account. I am impressed with the apps ability to figure out which messages are important and I love the recap view. Send later and read receipts have proved to be a godsend. Keep up the good work!

This is the email app I've long been looking for. Simple, distraction free beauty with incredible functionality and user friendliness. Everything works and feels beautifully right. I also love the fact that all my accounts are there when I add the app to another device or OS. ...Just one more example of the genius of this email client!

If this app ends up being "rescued" again, please stay away from it. I paid for lifetime, then they changed it to yearly/monthly service charge and only gave me 30 days on my already "lifetime" payment, then wanted 3x as much for the monthly service price of the lifetime. Paid that for a while, then it was "oh no woe is me we are shutting down!" like 3 months later i get an email We're back! and charging even more than ever. Now they are shutting down for the wecond time? I smell cash grab like it seems to have been since the beginning. I'm sorry it is a good email client (even if the desktop version never and would never according to the developer support dark mode) the main draw to it was the fact that I was able to do all my login's on one service and my email was ready to go wherever i was without messing around. TLDR Good app, developer is clearly a cash grab artist stay the hell away.

I can no longer recommend this app as it is now on its third round of developers, who in time will abandon the app as well because they are keeping the same pricing structure for an app at one time was ahead of the curve. This is no longer the case, as such my subscription has been canceled and I have found a better alternative. Looking at what these apps can do compared Newton for free or for a one time cost for 1/10 the cost of one year on Newton has me questioning why I ever subscribed.

Update 3/7/20. Still the best Android email app I have used! I am very sorry to see it go away but maybe it will be rescued again like the last time it shut down. Original review. Best email app I have tried on android. It's a shame that the app is shutting down. It was supposed to be canceled at the end od September but it is still working fine.

Great app, poor business practices. I hate that I have to write this review. I have been a very long time user, since the beginning. Its been such a great mail app but its shutdown, then open back up journey has burnt this relationship. Going with my gut and leaving before something happens with my data and money. Even though they announced closure, they are still allowing subscriptions to come out. Now thats poor practice.

Downloaded ihis as trial. Although I love the features like send later, read receipts and tidy inbox, unfortunately it is very slow to use. My email folders do not sync, I also get like 3 minutes of delay when receiving new emails. I have decided to go back to using outlook, which loads all emails and folders instantaneously. I have cancelled my account after 3 days.

I used to love this app. After it came back I hesitantly decided to pay for it again but notifications constantly go off on my phone. Unless I clear them, they go off, then stop, then go off 3 more times, then stop and then continue to go off until I clear them. I tried to take this up with support and initially they were great but then they just stopped communicating. Now Google has blocked the app unless I go through a whole process to allow 3rd party api apps... Sorry I'm done.

It's very good, really like the speed and minimalism. Though there are some minor things that I am still waiting for - like the ability to quickly add a contact to my address book. True inbox was a great idea but I had to turn off in the end, found that I send far too many emails that I don't need to keep in my view.

STAY FAR AWAY! There are tons of bugs in all versions of the app. Advertised features are constantly broken and when reaching out to support you are just ignored. When contacting one of the owners, I was essentially told that fixing the broken features is not their current priority as they are busy making new features (which are also full of bugs). Updates take months and nothing is ever fixed. It's a shame that the new owners destroyed a once great app. They only want to take people's money.

Nice looking app, lots of features, but buggy. Tried engaging support regarding a bug I found with the app not properly loading my archived messages (loading a few recent, then 10 year old messages and nothing else) and never received a reply. Not particularly confidence inspiring for a mail client that costs as much as most annual paid email plans.

Nice clean interface and fast. Notifications always work. But customer service nonexistent. I got a new phone and the 2FA does not work anymore. I am paid subscriber for years and they don't even reply to my emails, regarding me not being able to login. Additionally there are privacy issues for years, before this app has been sold.

I have shifted between multiple emails apps and pretty much tried them all. Newton has and is so far the best out there. It's superfast, clean and has add ons that no other app provides. I'm only hoping that the new management is able to sustain the app for a long duration.

I have been using Newton for 3 years and find it satisfying to use for most of my needs. Love the tracking feature helping me a lot in work. Universality on all my devices makes it extremely easy to access to emails on the go. There are 2 points that I would hope for improvement: including spams filter and more detailed tracking of each email addresses

Feature wise this would have been a perfect app. But there are two big problems. 50 dollars a year for a mail app after all these years I wish Newton just went open source for the sake of giving humanity a good mail app with great features. 2. The design of Newton lacks a lot. Spark looks so amazing, coming from Spark I just can't accept the current newton design which looks like it's years old. No icon, only boxes. It's a classic old design which really needs an upgrade.

High expectations for this app seeing the trial. Bought subscription. Well, I thought that features missing, like offering RTF were just disabled on the trial. Thus no colored text , bold, underlined, fonts, text size. Of these the really necessary are B, I, U, SIZE, and COLOR. I poked during the trial period, and assumed those features were disabled because it was a trial. Shall I known, I wouldn't have bought. But, that is my fault, and of couse I can't expect the developer to refund.
