I'm on Android 13, and the protection hasn't had a problem, neither my battery usage increased. One problem I have recently, is that daily, once or twice, Bitdefender will send a notification reading, "The app you just installed requires scanning before being used!" from the malware scanner. It doesn't force a scan, but it won't consider my device safe without manually initiating a scan. It doesn't specify an app, and I haven't downloaded any apps either. Other than that, great app!

I've only been using this app for a few hours so I only can provide some basic feedback on the initial performance. This is a smart & serious approach to helping monitor not only what is going on "live" but also finding where in the past you may have been exposed and compromised. I can assume that the goal of closing up leaks so that you can have a realistic idea of how much in control you REALLY ARE of your data, is a realistic one...if you follow the approach via this app.

Works well enough. So why am I giving this 3 stars then?... The constant notifications about their VPN is why. On my comp, it was already enough of a hassle removing the VPN bloatware that automatically gets downloaded. Now I guess it's built in with the app. There's no way to turn the notifications off, and it's annoying as hell. I ALREADY have a VPN through another service. I probably would have tried Bitdefender's already if they weren't so busy trying to force it on people. Obnoxious!

Bitdefender has been my favorite for the pc, and it's the only I'd trust with a pc. With that logic I choose it for my phone. App is simple to use and quick to navigate it. Plus their package deals for their premium services are great and affordable. But If someone can't afford it, that is no problem the free version works just as well.

I run Bitdefender on all of my home computers, and it's awesome. This gets only 3 stars because they've got this silly logo that demands to be on your screen at all times, continuously in the way of screen selections, and I'm having to physically move it around constantly to get it out of the way... There is no way to make hide it. Ridiculous.

So far, it's been really good. Just one little blip, when I didn't remember my password I tried it once, messed it up and it locked me out. It told me that I had tried multiple times but, I'd only had one attempt. That needs to be fixed. Alerted me to some things that were a direct threat to my identity and banking security. I quickly changed email address and password with out any fuss on the issue. Highly recommend.

Price is reasonable, active protection in web browsers works good and the VPN is very good quality, however, the scan is not very thorough or detailed, reports are lacking in detail as well. It only scans a few apps, and basically ignores the entire file system. On my phone it only scans 34 apps, but my phone has 400+ (including system apps.) There are barely any options, leaving no way to customize scans, etc. The PC version is amazing, hopefully this mobile version will become more like it.

I have used Bitdefender for years and I have been virus free for all of them! I once witnessed Bitdefender actively battle a virus that was replicating itself like crazy and it deleted all the files quicker than it could replicate and killed it! I've always been happy with the new features they release. They are always helpful or add a unique way to manage the protection on your phone or computer, for example locking certain apps with your password. I highly recommend this antivirus software!

The app is very easy to use and understand. It doesn't use a lot of extra battery to run in the background. I have had no issues since installation. It works great on both my phone and my laptop. Bit defender has successfully stopped attempts to access my devices, which I'm sure it was an attempts at some nefarious tomfoolery.

I installed Bitdefender Total Security 2019 instead of renewing my past subscription to Kaspersky Total Security. The reviews were great and they seemed to be neck and neck on the features. Basically it was a price thing. However, I missed the part about the Android version having no password manager, unlike Kaspersky. I feel that having a password manager is just as valuable a feature as any of the others. When I'm on my phone, it's really difficult to remember all the different passwords for all the sites that require one. After all, using the same password for all is rather irresponsible. I think after the year is up, I'll be going back to Kaspersky.

Used for several years and seems to work. My issue is the auto renew! They press you to auto renew at a ridiculously high price and make it extremely difficult to do otherwise. Once you jump through the hoops to stop it, then they get in to the haggling to get the price down to a reasonable point. This goes on every time! This is hardly what you would expect from a reputable product. DO NOT ENABLE AUTO RENEW!

Constant unwanted notifications. I don't need to be told several times each day that Bitdefender is working for me. I can turn off the notification sound but I can't turn the notifications off selectively. I will be looking for another anti-virus program when my Bitdefender subscription expires. It's a shame because Bitdefender is a really good product. It's the notifications that are driving me away.

Looks like it has lots of bells and whistles, beautiful and easy to use interface, so I bought the premium, but it can't keep advertising viruses off my phone, and when I do a scan on my S23 Ultra, it says everything is fine, when it obviously is not. Would not recommend because it can't seem to protect against current advertising viruses that shut you out of any other app or phone function you are using just to blast you with adds while kicking you out of whatever program you are currently in.

The software itself is easy to use and understand. It pretty much runs itself and offers suggestions to help the user. It probably would have gotten five stars from me except for one thing. It supposedly includes a small amount of VPN availability, but after a couple of weeks or so, access to that feature was replaced with a message that said I had used my allotted amount and I needed to upgrade to the paid subscription. I never uses the free VPN once. Now it constantly nags about upgrading.

Three years past since my last review, and I can realize that the app is far more effective and easy to use. The only drawback is that the app works only with an active internet connection; otherwise it remains useless. What if I need to connect an USB pen drive to my phone in a zone where I have no internet access and that pen drive contains malware?

Web protection is allowed to be disabled by other apps; this seems to happen every time I check the Bitdefender app, and there is apparently no notification when some other app messes with it. That's a security risk and I contacted them about it months ago but they seem to have little motivation to fix a major bug like this. The obvious solution is to have Bitdefender check regularly to see if it's been messed with and alert the user ASAP, or prevent other apps tampering with it by other means.

Great app! I've used Bitdefender for several years on my computer and on my phone. It is a great protection software that in my opinion, doesn't slow down your computer or phone, and works great. It quickly and easily detects threats and for me, will warn me if I'm about to navigate to a dangerous web page for example, and will offer to redirect back to safety. Bitdefender includes many tools and functions that are all great for keeping your devices safe. They've won awards many times.

So many intrusive pop-ups that there is NO option to turn off. I don't want to use the VPN service, so I of course keep receiving persistent notifications trying to convince me to. Same goes with every time bitdefender starts scanning an app. Just do the job in the background and don't make me swipe away your pop-up every time! Also, there are so many spots in the app where they are trying to upsell you on additional features, making it clumsy to find what you actually need.
