The best and most powerful notes app I have seen. The only issue I have is that the sync feature doesn't work, so the lack of cloud backup and multi device synchronization is a big con.

Only just started using so need to get used to it. But is not easy. 2stars for not able to sync without paying for it. And the pricing.. It is very expensive at $8-$10. simply to add the sync option. This is approx the same cost of a well known rival (which has far more options) that I am trying to migrate from. as rival app has just ramped the cost up cost to existing.

This app broke my keyboard (Gboard), and predictive text/autocorrect only malfunctions in Obsidian specifically. Everywhere else, Gboard works perfectly fine, but completely devolves into nonsense in Obsidian. I've had to reset my keyboard twice because it suddenly stopped working in the app. It's still a really good plaintext word processor but I would like the issues with Gboard to be fixed.

Amazing app. It makes the process of making notes so much easier and faster. It has a lot of options, and the fact its completely free just blows my mind. I love it. Only suggestion i would make is to add option for using volume buttons as right/left arrows when on phone, this would make my life even easier :)

Obsidian is the app I've been searching for to replace an increasingly disappointing Evernote. However, Obsidian is more than just a replacement, it's a paradigm shift in how to manage notes and how they relate through tagging. I've hooked mine up to sync from my OneDrive account and it works wonderfully. The fact the notes live on my systems and drives only is a massive feature, as that puts me in control of my security, rather than having a third party decide how private your notes are.

This is a non structured note taking app. Learning curve is steep. It requires a bit of knowledge to get started. Better take some introductory videos about this app! Without proper knowledge, the app cannot be used to its full potential. And then there are hell lot of plugins too! The main difference between this and other apps is that this allows to build any structure on our own whereas structured note taking apps like Evernotes, Notion will limit to its defined structure.

Perfect, lots of possibilities, I love the fact that I can save audio + text + pictures within the same note, it makes it so easy and clean to manage different projects. Only thing that I would correct is the fact that audio (mp3) often stops before the end, it's a very recurrent problem.

Amazing replacement for Evernote, so easy now to format my precious notes, organise thoughts. Huge community and regular updates. Can be as simple or as complex as one wishes. A major element is the choice of markdown as a language for the editor, very versatile and easy to learn. The magic is also the possibility of saving notes automatically on several devices for archiving.

Setting up the app for the first time is a little intimidating, but once you get the hang of it, it's the best app for offline note-taking. Plenty of downloadable plugins make formatting your notes easy. There are lots of features I've yet to explore, but even at the base level, it's a no-nonsense, functional yet aesthetically pleasing app that has none of the annoying account-making and syncing obligations that the majority of note-keeping apps force upon you.

The mobile ui has been buggy since the latest update, and the screen moves up and down while typing now. It's too difficult to use and I find myself using docs. Please fix this! I love this app. Also - when I try to create notes I have to delete and retype in the end brackets multiple times before it ends up working. This has been going on ever since I started using the app a year ago

I was excited to try this. The future-proof design is very appealing. Unfortunately, during my testing, it would randomly begin inserting groups of red dots in line with the text, gradually doing so more and more and filling the note. After a few seconds of this, it would crash. Sadly, I can't trust it. 😪

For as advanced of an app as this is, it's surprising that you can't even undo if you accidentally erase too much while holding backspace. I lost a bunch of valuable notes. In other regards, it has been satisfactory, but highly technical, and I haven't quite figured out how to use the more advanced features.

The app was great until 3 or 4 months ago when it began bugging out. Moving the cursor will randomly mess up formatting and it is impossible to hit enter and create a new line. This makes the app unusable, and a subscription pointless. If it is not fixed soon I will be canceling my subscription.

TLDR 10/10 GET THIS NOW The BEST note taking / writing / story planning app out there. I use both the PC version and the mobile app religiously now. They've completely changed how I store my notes and edit my work. You can link each note to each other using [[]] and you can use __ to italicize words. All of this is shown to you via a simple and easy to use interface, plus all your notes and their connections are put together on a spiderweb graph and from there you can access every file

Edit: From 1 star to 4 stars The issue seems to be with Samsung's keyboard. The issue, atm, does not seem to occur when using Gboard Same issue as others. On an android device the app is practically unusual as it freaks out and adds characters to the file wich slows down the app. And Eben after deleting the characters, they'll repopulate after a few seconds.

it seems great so far, not experiencing any bugs like other reviews have talked about. I've only barely scratched the surface in terms of understanding all of its capabilities though. incredible amount of plugins available for further customization. relatively painless to setup a free syncing method between Android and Linux

Great mobile client for an incredible makrdown notes editor. Best used with their own sync service but it's so flexible you can use it with plain files and folder syncing. This app is a great way to read content on the go or take quick note to deal with later. The app also works great on a tablet with a keyboard as something approaching the desktop experience (minor missing things, like no curl on the system for use in template commands). Having my favorite desktop notes app as a share target or URI scheme on my phone is so great, it's much easier now to just throw everything in plain markdown files that sync pretty seamlessly between my Android, iOS, macOS, Linux, and Windows devices.

Great app for reading your notes. I can't change out of the live preview mode, which is so buggy that I cannot edit notes with it. The toggle at the top doesn't allow for source mode even after changing the default editing mode to Source Mode. I really do like the concept of the app and the devs so I'm holding out hope.
