The adds are super annoying splashing in front of you and timed so you can't close them right away. The adds weren't so intrusive in the past, but I understand the app is free and a necessity. It's wonderful otherwise. I would be willing to pay a one time fee for an ad less or less add intrusive version.

This is a really amazing app. I spent a long time fiddling with evernote or onenote to clip articles I needed to save for later, but it always felt somewhat cumbersome and resource-heavy. Now with pocket I just have to press a button or share it with the app, add a tag, and it's done, in a really simple way. Being cross-platform and focused on the "save for later" functionality is truly a high point for Pocket.

I've used Pocket for over 7yrs without any problems, and encourage users to check out Pocket Premium for the best overall experience. Pocket is simple, yet powerful, and easy to use. You have the ability to catalog and index your favorite material for future reference. The "settings" allows you to customize the app for your own personal preferences.

Throughout the day I come across so many articles on Google's home feed or Reddit, etc. I want to read them all but don't always have the time for it right then and there. Pocket app helps me save these articles for later reading. The function to read the articles to me as if it is a podcast is pretty useful as well. Very minor issues with aesthetics or how the app handles certain websites and pictures would be my only gripe.

The recent Apr. 2023 update removed two nice features. (1) The app no longer shows the scroll bar. This was useful to see how long an article is. (2) Long-pressing on a link no longer shows you the URL (well, it does, but it's directly under your fingertip, so it's effectively not visible). Sad to see an otherwise great app getting worse.

Awesome app for saving just about anything. I've had it for a couple of months now and I am definitely happy with it. So far what I like most about it is the seamless connection from device to device and it's ability to save multiple media and data types - MP4, html web pages, whatever. Very easy to use and attractive UI. I like it and recommend it.

Pocket has helped me save many articles for later reading and its integration into the Firefox browser (both on desktop but especially Android) is a major plus. My only gripe would be the subscription-based service - I'm not a big fan of apps that require me to pay a subscription as the only option to utilize their premium features. That's just a personal preference, I understand this is sometimes the only way to make enough money for an app's continued development and upkeep.

Pocket is one of my most essential tools. I've been using it for years. It not only allows me to save, share and organize articles that I'd like to read later, It makes it easier to read some articles that are otherwise very cumbersome on the web: when I find a post that is so riddled with ads that I can't scroll properly, for instance, I save it to pocket first, and then read it there. It doesn't remove all of the ads, but it seems to organize the page in a better way. Thanks guys!

Syncs across devices, I use it between my laptop and phone. I love the tagging system, it makes it easy to find saved articles later, and love that articles stay tagged even when in archive view. I really appreciate the ability to switch into a dark mode! However, I wish there was a manual button to paste in links. The "Do you want to save this?" that pops up id neat, but occasionally won't register a saved link if I don't save it immediately after I copy it.

Pocket is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. I get side tracked easily researching any subject. With Pocket, i can easily save any interesting attention-stealing articles for later with 2 taps and stay focused on the task at hand. The text to speech puts it over the top (yeah, I'm too lazy even to read.) Way easier to listen to than the standard Google voices. If this app were a woman, I'd marry it. Our kids would look funny though... Uh, anyways, props and thank you to the devolpers!

Update after dev response: The "Save from Clipboard" option does not show up. No bar at the bottom of the app shows up when I've copied a link. Original review: Don't know when they removed the ability to save articles from copied links, let alone save anything at all, but that is ridiculous. Why would you remove such a basic feature? Doesn't look like I can use it within Chrome on my phone either. Guess I'm looking for a new app. Sorry. You dropped the ball.

Great app. I use this often to save a plethora of interesting things I am curious about. Part of its functionality is to make what I've saved available across all my devices. And I can forward to friends who might enjoy or to OneNote where I can organize into categories. Very helpful. Additionally, the app offers up new reading selections on an extremely wide variety of diverse topics. If you're like me you never know what might tweak your interest....next!

FINALLY! I found somewhere that I can save my links to look at later! In the past, I have saved them on my desktop all over my poor laptop, and in my phone under my Foxfire browser, that ends up with 20 to 30 windows open at all times, using up a lot of my battery, just because I start reading something, then I don't have time to finish or click on another link on that page, so now I can save each page. But this is the best thing since Android LOL Good job on updating since this first came out!

I used to love this app and still do. But since a couple of weeks, it seems to miss a lot of images, figures and things like code blocks in the articles. This forces me to always open the original article, making Pocket a lot less useful for me. Before these problems started, I could easily enjoy the articles offline on my Kobo e-reader, having to switch to another device only when I needed color to understand the figure. That is now no longer possible, as most of the figures are missing :(

Would have been five stars, except for the annoying persistence of unremovable notifications that are displayed after you start listening to a story. The only way to eliminate those notifications is to force quit the application, which is a real hassle. This means anytime you use the listen feature, you will have to force quit the app at the end of your session. Doesn't seem like that hard to fix but it's been that way for over a year.
A Google user
I do wish the search functions can be there, and I would argue that you lose a golden opportunity of marketing by just returning nothing for a search. You could at least say "search not available in the free version". Otherwise Pocket does a very good job striping useful content from very busy websites. I now almost exclusively read my online context with it. It saves time, data usage, and my vision (no more extra small fonts from websites).
A Google user
I love this app- it's absolutely perfect for keeping my online recipes stored and organized. It gives you the ability to tag each article, and this makes everything easily-accessible. I really like the layout, since each article is listed with a thumbnail image. Using the article playlist even allows you to have each article read out-loud to you! Great!

It's easier than bookmarking and I can always find an article I wanted to view. I've been using Pocket since 2018 under various emails and it makes reading an article at another time 'perfect'. If I bookmarked the page, I couldn't find it later since I was bookmarking so many articles to read later, it was easy to find and tagging didn't work well thru browser. Using Pocket, I'm able to find what I wanted from various platforms and digital devices - one of the best apps I'm using.
