THE ONLY NEWS APP YOU NEED
With News Suite, you no longer have to visit multiple sites and apps to stay in the know. It organizes articles from 1000s of feeds into two tabs so it’s easy to find what’s relevant to you. The “News” tab keeps you up to date on a wide range of current affairs, while the “My Feeds” tab brings you articles customized to your personal interests. We’ve partnered with the world’s most popular publications so there’s always new, quality content to engage you.

-Tips for Use-
■ How to Read News from Your Own Country/Region■
By default, the region setting of your "News" tab is taken from the language and region settings of your device. For example, if your device’s language is set to “English (United States),” then news from the U.S. will be displayed. If you are unable to read news from the region you are staying in, you can use the method below to change the region setting.
* Please note this resets the app to its initial state, deleting all feeds and bookmarks which have been registered.
1. Go to "Apps & notifications > News Suite > Storage & Cache" in your phone settings and select "Clear Storage".
* This will delete feeds and bookmarks which have been registered.
2. Restart News Suite
3. Select the link for "Terms of service" from the starting screen
4. Choose the region you stay in under "Select your language/region"
■ Setting Up Push Notifications ■
Users can receive periodic updates via push notifications with "Scheduled News," as well as push notifications for important news articles with "Additional feeds and other info of interest"
You can turn notifications on or off, and set timings, by selecting "Settings," followed by "Notifications," from the upper right menu.
■ For Xperia Users Wishing to Uninstall the App ■
If you wish to uninstall the app from your Xperia device, you may or may not be able to do so depending on your device's model. In such cases, you can go to "Settings," followed by "Apps," and then select "Disable."

App often lags within some seconds after loading articles. The source of the articles server is unknown. Even restart phone doesn't influence the app lagging behavior, while memory is sufficient to run any apps. Sony products are very great, but this app is annoying. My own feeds I manage in another great app.

A very convenient way to read aggregated news, current affairs, entertainment and sport articles and stories from differing news sources. Almost as if curated for me personally. I use it every day, can add news sources I want and is one of my most uses apps daily.

This desperately needs a way to change the default feeds. The tabloids are able to churn out loads more low quality news articles compared to reputable sources, so half of my feed is low quality posts from Murdoch media that borders on misinformation. The idea of a news aggregator app is really great and I'd use this app otherwise, but in its current state it's just straight up worse than manually checking the websites directly.

Limited sources, some of which have articles behind pay walls, and almost every other 'article' in the feed is an ad. What makes it worse is that it comes preinstalled with xperia phones and when uninstalled will try to reinstall itself sometimes. Very disappointed.

A very useful app. Alerting you to developments in a wide range of interests. Sometimes the headlines are misleading, but this is more the fault of the news source. The adverts can be distracting but overall this app keeps you up to date with the latest news.

The UI is very cool, the functionalities as well... But weather only finds Gothenburg in the US. You cannot add your own News/CSS, only pre selected keywords with Grandma news. Very nice on look and feel, but useless for its purpose.

Finally uninstalled. First I'll say the app code is excellent. The developers deserve credit for their hard work. But the selection of news sources started to lean heavily in one direction, and the ads became very trashy (sick/gross/shock content).

Ihave been using it for 3 years. It occupies internal memory. After I cleaned data, the app restored settings to another geographic zone. Selecting the favorite country does not have effect on the feeds and the interface. I need to delete it. It contains tonnes of click bait advertising

Fake links now? So I could deal with the pop up ads that were starting to get a bit intrusive, but the fake links that don't connect with the thumbnails and just go to ads, well that's just plain shady. Great way to boost people's trust in news sites 👍. Edit- a week later and the fake link is STILL there. Does no one check your content at all? Does anyone there have any aspirations to a semblance of integrity or pride in your creation. Deleting app now.

Too cluttered, too much space for pictures, not enough for text. And ads look deceptively like articles - you have to look hard to see the difference. This seems deliberate to generate more clicks, but it's deception and the main reason I am uninstalling.

It's just OK. It probably would be a nice app if they removed the ads it just makes everything feel cluttered and it's not an enjoyable reading experience. Otherwise it seems to run well and do what it's supposed to without issue.

If you only read the Independent, Guardian, Evening Standard, Canary, or any other news source with the same political leaning, then this is the app for you. If you'd rather not live in a bubble, and prefer a more balanced assortment of news sources, then go elsewhere. There's no way to easily edit preferences (that I know of), hence the 1 star.

This app use to be fantastic. Now it's so flooded with advertising that half the screen is covered or some ads don't load properly. It even overloads itself and ads make it stop working and the app closes. Poor form from developers here. Definitely needs to be fixed.

The UI is just too clutter and complicated. The tabs on the top makes no sense, especially when sony phones are "taller" than most of other phone. To many buttons and menus.. you don't even know where to start.

Really disappointed and surprised by the quality of this app. Sounds like all of the news apps out there but the range of sources are woeful and offer subscription only. Clunky layout and design don't help either. And it can't be uninstalled.

Useful. You can reach different news from many media, so you have various journalistic writing and contrasting point of views. Furthermore, we can get quickly overwhelmed with some certains news apps notifications. But instead of that, News Suite provide informations, drop by drop, all along the day. Beyond compare. This app is extremely annoying and stupidly made. Every a while it just decides to update or I don't know, maybe crash. And this haopens every time that I am reading an article. So just in the middle of reading it suddenly closes the article to show me new ones.

Just as anything from sony i expect the best i am currently running this app on my sony expera zx premium and everything is working just fine ..this app has an attractive and easy to use interface lots of news coverage from world..science ..art..etc and i find it has a regular update system so that the news stays current !. It serves my purpose very well and i find that i don't really need to look elsewhere as i have everything i need in this one app..thank you sony and keep up the good work ..
